yep i am neg as well and not one doctor has ever suggested getting DH's blood tested. is it somthing i should request? ideally i dont want to have it if i dont need to.
I wasnt asked totest DH either. We just got him tested and then gave the results to the midwife who put it in my file, that was with DD and i didnt have the shots. I did have a fight on my hands when pregnant with DS though and they guilted me into having it by saying there is still a posability that bub can be Positive. I have now researched for myself and now know its not true. They only say it because they dont know they you are telling the truth by saying your DH is infact the father, which i think is disgrasful. This time, my GP simply asked me if he was and was satisfied with my descion not to have it, which i think is a much more professional response.
oh right, i never even thought about that.. i guess it is possibile that someone would get their info wrong or tella fib. still i might ask if we can test DH anyhow.
I'm A-neg and needed no injections, but had one pushed on me post-birth.
I had NO antibodies in my system during pregnancy, due to no accidents involving bumpling, and NONE after a VERY invasive birth. Your body knows what it's doing - most of the time it's not needed.
I'm still fuming that the blood report stated "no antibodies found, recommend the injection is given" WHY recommend that? It wasn't needed? Why not let me know what's going on and let me decide instead?
