No they are not my love. They are pesky & hard to get rid of but no. They are highly contagious but not dangerous to you or your unborn baby. Though they may be more difficult to get rid of in pregnancy. I hope that helps to put your mind at ease.
Something I have found helps if you do get a lesion is colloidal silver. Spray onto the lesion a few times a day (often if you can). Also homeopathics are very good at treating impetigo (the medical name for school sores).
Thankyou so much Inanna!
Definalty puts my mind at ease more!
They were on antibiotics and i dont know how long the contagious part is, but im assuming they had been past that stage, i hope!
Thanks for the tips, hopefully i wont need them lol
No doubt at some stage your children will get them - it is caused by staph or Strep - but usually staph. They spread like wildfire & are something that require removal of the child from school until they've been on a/b's for 24 hours or they are scabbed over & not weeping. They are required to be covered at school as well.
They looked like they were definatly scabbing over, and they got them during the school holidays.
I just needed to be sure, like i said i wasnt worried, but i was iykwim lol
Yeah, my girls got them when DS & I were still in hossy, then DS got them just after DD3 came home.
I was told to keep them away for the baby for the first 24 hours of abs, after that they were fine.
You should be fine
