We are off to have the Morphology scan

But with a raft of complications the extra monitoring begins... not that fortnightly scans on my cervix length isn't already extra!

But my cervix has shortened by 1.8cm over the past 4 weeks (1cm and 0.8cm over consecutive fortnights), we have less than 1 cm to go before a stitch become urgent, and as it has been two weeks since the last scan, we are praying that it hasn't shortened by a similar amount or more, really hoping it has stabilised. So another cervical length to be done.

My OB was concerned with the fluid levels around Flicker, but it appears that there is a good pocket in each horn, and a small pocket around Flickers back, but other than that Flicker is squished between the placenta and uterine wall. So hopefully it is sufficient to not cause any issues, which seems crazy as we had excess fluid with DD, she had a swimming pool, and it helped pushing the placenta up, but this time as the placenta is also over the septum on the uterus it just expanded as well as it did with DD.

They are starting Uterine Dopplers to monitor flow of blood o2 and nutrients between Flicker and the placenta, as it is over the septum, which is bascially a piece of tissue splitting the uterus into two, there is not blood vessels etc in this piece of tissue, so we are relying on the parts of the placenta that area attached to the uterine wall.

So wish us all the best and pray for....

Flicker has made it this far despite a very tenuous start so I'm sure that Flicker will be fine, but the cervix is a worry, so I hope that it has stopped shortening on you Good luck!
