    Smile Sex of your baby?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried for a particular sex and been successful?

If so how did you do it?

I am only asking as i was told that if you try 12days from the first day of your period this is the best chance of concieving a girl. We tried on the 10th and 11th day and are hoping for a girl. I just want to know our chances, feel nervous waiting do not want to get excited just want to hear some other peoples experiences. We will be happy with another boy we love our boys and as long as our baby is healthy nothing else matters.

    Thank you for your stories

i am no expert but from what i have read the closer to ovulation you concieve, the more likely you are of having a boy. Further from ovulation, a girl.
From what i gather male sperm swim faster and therefore get to the egg quicker. Females are not as fast but they survive longer. (Bit like the differences b/w men and women IRL!)
So i guess it depends on when you ovulated. But if your cycle is of average length and you ovulated on about day 14, concieved on day 11, then from this thoery chances are it is a girl.
    But there are no guarantees!
I hope you get your baby girl, good luck. xx

I am assuming you are wondering only about timing??
Got a girl with a 3 day cutoff, and got a girl BDing on O... hehe.

Funny you talk of cycle day 11 because that's exactly when I conceived - I was charting so knew exactly and we're having a little girl! So there you go...

I've got 2 boys and 3 girls and the timing was correct for all of them, all the girls were conceived day 9 to day 12.
    Good Luck!!!

Yeah, I've heard AngeA's thing before, with the boys=faster / girls=live longer. I think there's also something to do with your Ph 'down there' (I'll have to have a look, can't quite remember what was what there)
Also, I read somewhere that if the man sponges his testicles with cool water, you're more likely to have a boy.

This pgcy was a bit of a suprise to find out we were having a boy as we BD 2-3 days before O and from that we assumed the male sperm would have all been dead. Well we were happily wrong (we wanted a boy, but the BD was not really planned and I O'd earlier than expected so we went from safe to pg). Sometimes I think it's all a game of chance. With Kat, I had O pains and I BD and so we thought boy, nope, girl. Jess was a big suprise. I hope you get the sex u want hon. But if not, gives u an excuse to go again in a yr or so's time hehehe
