Just want to point out that they don't 'smell' - if there is a smell when they break, you need to contact your care provider immediately.

The chances of you being in 'public' when they break is about 10%, so not much you can do to prepare unless you want to walk around with a towel between your legs ;p
Mine broke when I got up to go to the toilet first thing in the morning. It didn't gush and go everywhere, it leaked for the next 12 hours. I put on a mat pad and monitored it, so remember that they may very well break but not gush and lose it all at once.
