I have been researching prams for weeks now and I am disappointed to say that I can't buy my choice of brand which is Silver Cross in Australia. I have contacted the distributor for Australia from the Silver Cross site and they no longer represent the brand. I have also contacted Silver Cross in England and they are in the process of getting a new distributor but it won't be finalised for several months! I can purchase directly from a company in England that exports but the export fee is more than the cost of the pram and what do I do if anything goes wrong with it?? Their suggestion was to send it back to them at my cost!!
I also love the functions/safety/comfort of the Emmaljunga and I believe that McLaren is also a great brand. I am ideally also looking for a pram that is reversible and not too heavy. Emmaljungas seem to be a bit heavy but look like they can really do the job.
If anyone can help me with names of stores that still have Silver Cross prams to sell please let me know asap- I would really appreciate it!! I have read some threads elsewhere that some people have found them in WA and in VIC. I live in Brisbane and am not worried about having one transported to me and with a new agent being appointed hopefully soon, warranty would surely not be an issue.
Nicole, I have the Silver Cross Linear Sleepover, which I bought from Baby Bunting prior to having my DS. I absolutely love it! It's a wonderful pram Though it sounds like I don't need to sell the brand to you!!!
One of the other girls on here, who is due to give birth, bought a Silver Cross in Perth a few months ago. I'm not sure where from though.
Baby Bunting also had the Classic Silver Cross prams, though I decided that although they are lovely, they were a bit heavy for me.
If you need anymore info let me know. Good luck, and let us know what happens!

Thanks for letting me know - but I have bought a pram already as my daughter was born on the 20th Dec 2007.
This might be a pain, but you could contact their head office in England and enquire if they have a new distributor here as yet. I know that they were working on it. Maybe they could help with the additional piece you are after?? Or don't they make one!?
