Red face Something is broken, is it my brain or my ticker?!

My ticker says 17% of my pregnancy has passed, but I think that's wrong.

I work it out to be 21% because I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant.

I work 17% out to be only just short of 7 weeks.

I've checked the dates are right on the site & everything is as it should be so I'm wondering is my calculation right or the ticker? My brain hurts

Oh thank goodness, I thought I was going crazy!

To put it simply, 4 weeks is 10% of 40 weeks, so 8 weeks has to be 20% so I just don't know how they are calculating it

maybe they do 38 or 42 weeks as term?
or 100 days rather then weeks(or how ever many it is)

Nope, that would make it 23% and even 42 weeks would make it just on 20%

I've sent them an email as well to try & figure it out. This is driving me nuts trying to figure it out!

Could they be presuming date of conception, which would make pregnancy 266 days instead of 280 days?
I am terrible at math, so I'll leave it up to you to work it out, LOL.

You have the option of doing LMP, conception date or due date and they all calculate to being the same.

Hmmm, that's a bit odd. I think you just need a new ticker, LOL

But I like my ticker it's just a little confused, matches it's owner Maybe I should just fiddle with it & put in a dodgy date to get it to the right percent.

Your calculations are correct. Maybe they are basing it on months instead of weeks?

I would change tickers otherwise each time you look at it you'll get disheartened

Hmmm 10 weeks should be 25% & it comes up as 23% and then 11 weeks comes up as 26% so it seems to come good about there. WEIRD!

I think I'll stick with it, I know my weeks & days (have it on FB ). I just liked this one cos it's different to all the rest

My midwife told me it's nine months and one day (a full term pregnancy) is that why maybe? I can't help you with the maths, not my strong point unfortunately
