SRC recovery shorts or control briefs for getting back in shape?
Hi Ladies,
I have been recommended by a few friends to get the SRC recovery shorts for after bub comes as they help your uterus to shrink back to normal size more quickly and aide in losing fluid and weight apparently.
My problem is that it's going to be scorching summer when bub is here and I don't think I could handle wearing shorts that go to just above the knee and up to your boobs under all my clothes on hot days.
I was wondering, those control briefs, like spanks that you can get from myer etc, would they be effective at all for helping you to get back into shape? I have seen some that are like knickers that go up to just under the boobs.
What do you think? Have you used them? How did you find them?
Yep. Physio at our hospy recommended the tummy shapewear. They sell the Triumph brand, but she said to just go to Best & Less or somewhere and get whatever you can.
Gets pretty hot here too, so I got the cottoniest ones I could find.
Physio at Frances Perry House recommended them as well - specifically the SRC's (although she acknowledged they were quite expensive, in her opinion they were worth it (she doesn't work for them but had talked to the manufacturers about the SRC product) - although she did say that other types of shape wear were better than nothing). She said not to get the bands that you velcro around your middle as she's seen these push your insides around to places they shouldn't be and cause more problems.
I have some bonds cottony "suck in" grannie pants. I think they were from Big W which sound like they would do the trick and be much much cooler that the SRC shorts style.
