those who get hormonal pimples normally - improved or worsened in 1st trimester?

I am prone to getting a few nasty pimples when I get PMS, especially around my jawline. Very curious to see what happens when I get UTD!!

My skin has cleared up a bit, I'd usually get a breakout around ovulation, and another at AF, so I'd be lucky to have a week of totally pimple free skin. Now I only get a few spots here and there. My skin is clearer than before though, a more even tone, and it definately has a healthy glow now too

ive been lucky and never realy gotten pimples, but with this baby ive gotten them, and bad!! its odd as i never had a problem with the other 3, but this time from about 8 weeks they started popping up and i have a lot of little ones arround my jaw and the side of my face (they kind of blend in with my frecles, so thats ok i guess!) but the last 2 weeks, there have been a few big ones show up on my forhead and one yesterday on my cheek, NOT HAPPY!
i guess theres no guarentee of telling how bad you will get them, if you even will, untill they come threw.
good luck with your testing in a few days, fingers crossed!!!

Oh I had terrible acne I'm prone with any hormonal changes (like the pill) but I was terrible with DD2 until about mid-way. They were so sore! Hope you can avoid it but mine did clear up finally - just resist the urge to pop! LOL - I can't and I scar terrible

Thanks ladies... and good for you PZ.. nothing like that healthy glow
I guess I'll probably be like my mum and my pimples will reflect my hormones until I have gone through menopause!!

I cleared up in the first trimester, but now I seem to get them when my period is due. Its weird, every 25-28 days I'll get a breakout! And I'm 29 weeks pregnant!!

I'm the same as PZ, usually had a breakout at the time of ovulation and again at af and since becoming pregnant I have had no pimples at all! I'm really loving it, my skin looks beautiful even if I do say so myself

However, when pregnant with DS I continued to get acne, so it really is different each time!

My 1st tri this time was acne central...really, really bad! Face, shoulders, chest, arms etc. Face like an oil slick too.

2nd tri - all cleared up!

1st Tri, they got worse, mainly in the T-zone. 2nd and 3rd Tri, they cleared up and my skin looked beautiful. I didn't notice it so much at the time (I just felt fat and horrible lol) but I look back on photos of myself in late pregnancy and just after giving birth and my skin was lovely, it really did have a "glow".

When I came off the Pill, I broke out and my acne came back on my face, and now that I am pregnant it is still sticking around. I have just gone into the second trimester, and my forehead is clearing up, but not my chin! Also have one on my neck and one on my arm - strange places. It sometimes gets me a bit down that I have acne (and hormonal acne at that, its not like I am eating junk food or being unhealthy or anything), but there is nothing I can do about it at the moment! Hope it clears up soon, and looking forward to this 'glow'!
