Hi girls, as some of you know my twin sister is almost 27 weeks pregnant (her third child) & I'm staying with her at the moment.
She had a huge arguement last night (not with me) & has been under alot of stress the past few days.
This morning she hasn't felt her baby move once. It's now after 11am & she's starting to get worried.
Please give me tips to get her baby moving. We have already put something frozen on her belly & she's also drand a cold drink. Still nothing.
i 'think' i was advised.... have an icey cold drink and lay on your side.......I used to give bub a poke, maybe it's having a sleep. Of course, if she is concerned she could always call or go and see her care provider......
I've been having this problem this morning as well, bubs usually does a bit of a dance when I have breakfast but didn't this morning. However sitting here at the computer, I just put my hands on either side of my belly and gave it a really good wriggle side to side. Bubs seems to be asleep as I got one lazy movement on the side (probably moving her leg) and then not much more.
The same thing happened yesterday morning and all yesterday afternoon she wriggled and let me know she was there.
See if that works with your sister, otherwise get her to call her caregiver if she is really worried.
It must be the morning for it hun, my bubs has been quiet all morning. So i went and made a big icy cold milkshake, and then layed on the lounge. Eithin 5mins she was kicking and wriggling around. Lilli use to do this to me all the time to, i rememer the midwifes telling me to eat ice. If your sis try's this, and still no luck, go straight to the hosptial.
Go to the hospital.
Our local hospital won't turn a mother worried about her bub away and will hook you up to a doppler (or something similar, I forgot the name) and have a listen to the heartrate etc for a 20 minute period or so.
In the mean time try not to let her panic!
