    travel insurance past 26 weeks

    Hi
    has anyone found o/s travel insurance to cover mum (and preferably an unexpected baby) past 26 weeks? (i.e up till 31 weeks?)

    Nope, sorry, just went with the standard insurance so was covered for everything except anything baby related.

    do you have private health cover? Perhaps they can offer you some sort of overseas cover for your time O/s. Where are you going to?

    to the US - shocking medical system there - you do not want to get caught without insurance or you could be up for thousands!

    I looked around a fair bit as few insurance cos will offer cover if you've done IVF or anything like that and none offered cover beyond 26 weeks that I found.

    Ick, the US isn't great for health stuff!!! We didn't try to get pregnant until we came back from our big US trip because of the health insurance etc issues.

    Have you contacted private health insurance places? Maybe even some in the US are worth looking at?
