    tummy sleeper!!!!

I know this probably sounds like a really lame thing to post about, and i know its only going to get worse because I'm only 11 weeks - but I'm a tummy sleeper from way back and i'm already starting to get really uncomfortable trying to sleep on my tum because I'm starting to poke out, plus i keep thinking about my little blob in there and how it feels when i'm on my tummy. No matter what I try to lie on my side i just can't get comfy and I'm having really bad sleeps as a result. I know there is a point where I just won't be able to but I want to try and re-train my body to sleep on my side now while i'm still reasonably small - has anyone got any suggestions about what they did or worked for them? I was even thinking about body pillows or something??
    thanks xx

yeh a body pillow woul be good coz u can sleep on your side and wrap yourself around the pillow so ur body and tummy has something to lean against. Sort of likt tricking ur body to thinking its on ur tummy. You can get them at the warehouse for about $20. HTH

I am another tummy sleeper too! I agree a body pillow is the way to go, unfortunately if you breastfeed its still very painful for a couple of weeks after the birth as well.

thanks so much to all of you - i already try and hug a pillow and have one bent leg up to take the pressure off, but i just loooove my tummy sleeps so i'll see how long i can persevere. I think i'll look into the body pillows too. I wish i could take up the whole bed but i don't think my other half would appreciate that!?!?!
Thanks Mrs BB for the link to the sleeping thread - really helpful.

Okay... this is excessive but, when I was pregnant with DD1 I couldn't cope with not sleeping on my belly, it hurt my back so bad. I wound up using 20 pillows and putting my whole body up and leaving a hole for the bump. I even contemplated going to clark rubber, getting a huge foam mattress and having a big circle cut out for the belly.
