Hello girls,
Last few days I've been getting a stitch like feeling in my tummy, kinda hard to explain but if I'm in bed and I roll over every now and then get a weird pulling feeling and the same thing happened just now when I sneezed.
Is this normal?
I'm scared I could be hurting the pregnancy when this happens, I'm imagining things being pulled away from my uterus, but then I'm a worrier lately.
What do you think?
I'd like to see what people have to say, As i get the pain in my side when i roll over in bed (mind you its sometimes after ive gone to the loo) Also get it when i cough But i have had Twinges aswell..
So no advice as i sort of know wat your going through
Hi Babyluv
Yes this is normal and you are in for lots more twinges that are going to cause you some worry. Fortunately there is always someone on BB who can ease your mind.
Congrats on the pregnancy!
If you think about how your body is going to change over the next little while it can help to understand some of the pains/weird feelings you will get. Your uterus is growing as Alan said, so everything has to shift little by little out of the way. Plus, so many TOTALLY weird things can happen to your body in pregnancy! Both my pregnancies were different too - I had dreadful eczema with Phoebe... What's with that?!!? LOL.
If you get severe pains and/or bleeding or you are worried there is no harm in talking to your dr though
I used to dread sneezing anytime during my first trimesters and a little into the second.... the 'twinge/pain' it would cause me was really uncomfortable! Even though many told me it was normal, it still used to worry me, but apparently it's just that - normal
I used to get the real stretching feeling too, and each time I would just tell myself it was normal growing healthy pregnancy feelings....easier said than done I know when every little thing brings on more worry that everything is okay.
Yes it is completely normal, but it can be hard at the time to know they they are normal. I had heaps with DD, but this pregnancy very little on the stretching point of view at all I guess it has already "stretched" that it isn't so hard this time
Congratulations on your pregnancy and enjoy all these special little moments of your bubba growing big and strong as with each pregnancy it is different
congrats on the preg!
the stretching kind of pain is normal. everything is growing outwards and your internal organs need to shove over. i had them with DS, and the round ligament was what gave me the $h!ts in the 1st tri. this time round it's as beema said "all stretched out" the joys of your uterus growing (i think) its 500X the size it is pre-preg in nine months!
