Hi
I have a friend who is pregnant with twins. She had an ultrasound recently, and they were worried because one baby only had 'one supply tube from Mum to baby'.
The other twin had two.
Do you know what this might be? Is it arteries or veins in umbilical cord?
The presence of only one tube was also an indicator that the bub might have down syndrome.
Does this make sense? I couldn't work it out.
Thanks,
k
