    Ultrasounds and gender?

    Hey ladies!!
Im new to this forum and this is my first thread!!

I just resently had my 20 week scan and asked to find out the gender!! I have two boys already and was expecting a 3rd.... when she told me it's a girl!!

I couldn't beleive!! She told me that she could see the typical 3 white lines, the labia!! She said she was 95% sure and then also showed us that there was no "dangly" bit where if it was a boy would be!! She said if she was me she would be out buying girls things... she seemed very confident and sure!! After the scan had finished she then went on to tell me again that she checked a number of times and it is def a girl!!
The place where I had my ultrasound is Ultrasounds for women, so they have seen plenty of pregnant women on a daily basis!!

So my question is!! If you were me, would you be confident in beleiving you are in deed having a girl? I wish I didnt have these doubts.... but have heard so many stories about women being told one and giving both to the other!!!
Please help me feel more confident!!

I hope I have put this in the right section!!

I'd believe it She sounds pretty sure. I've been told what all my boys were, even one at 13 weeks, and they were all right

    Congrats on a girl !!

    Congratulations on your little princess!
By the sounds of it the lady was really confident so I'd believe her.

I'd start buying pink stuff!!!! If your gender determination was at 20w, you can be pretty certain that it's accurate, it is more when determination is made in the early 2nd trimester, that it can be a bit hard to tell for sure. I had my determination made at 19w with my oldest daughter, and it was obviously right... and with this one (a girl) it was made at 19w & then again at 23w, and both times it looked VERY convincingly like a girl. I think they just can't say "I'm 100% sure" incase it turns out to be long & their are repercussions for them.

Thank you everyone for your replys...

Ginger- they are fantastic there, I have been there for all my ultrasounds with all 3 pregnancy!! I havent personal had Dr max Hardy do one of my ultrasounds, but the women I have had seem to be just as fantastic!! I was told with ds2 that I was expecting a boy at my 20 wk u/s.... and they were correct!! But Ive heard alot of stories ive women being told one gender and out pops another!! After having 2 boys I have to admit I am very excited to be told Im having a girl... but if she pops out a he... I will be just as happy!! A healthy baby is all that matters!!
