Question Ultrasounds- what would you be thinking?

    Hi girls,

I'm new here. And really want some opinions on this or whether you have been through this before.

I'm due in 8 weeks with bub number 3. I had 2 boys, and in both 19 week ultrasounds you could definately tell they were boys!! In this pregnancy I had the 19 week and a paid 28 week ultrasound to find out conclusively the sex. I'm happy either way, but it would be nice to have a girl as they are like gold in my DH's massive family of boys. Both times bubs wouldn't open his/her legs. Both times the sonographer has said it "looks like a boy". When I examined the 19 week ultrasound at home, I saw the 3 lines in multiple frames.

From the beginning I have felt for a few reasons that it's a girl. This pregnancy has been completely different from the other 2, like no morning sickness, I lost weight in the beginning, and many other opposites. And when I was pregnant with the boys I knew they were boys. This time early on I knew it was a girl, but after the ultrasounds I'm back to 50/50!!

Either way this is my last pregnancy, and I'm happy with what I get, but I can't shake the annoyed feeling of not being able to find out. Have you seen 3 lines and it still turned out to be a boy?

    I know I'm being impatient!!!

    Thanks for any replies.

They never got a good enough look at DD - she was always in a bad position or had her legs together, so we didn't find out till 36 weeks (we had the normal 20 week ultrasound and a 3D one at 28 weeks - still didn't find out!!)

My OB has a small ultrasound machine in her room and she was the one that finally told us at 36 weeks what it was. Sometimes these babies just don't want us finding out!!

I hope its a little girl for you

i know with my 4 pregnancies if anyone had of said what one would u have thort u were having a boy i would have said pg #3 - i was so sick, and generally it was just a uncomfortable pregnancy...but it turned out to be a girl.

With my last preg, it was a replica to my first 2 girls - the way i carried and all - but to our delight we had a boy - so t hat theory of having diff pregnancies thus being a diff sex i simply do not believe at all.

I hope you get your little girl....its not long now. But equally as nice to have 3 lil boys......

I hope you get a little princess, I cannot tell you about the lines but was going to ask if your Ob has a little machine and to see if you could see anything a bit further into your pregnancy - just like Arimeh did

It must be so frustrating not knowing for sure! I have two boys and am having a girl this time, I definitely saw three lines at the 20 week u/s and like you, I know what a boy looks like at an u/s LOL!

My pregnancy has been different this time - I didn't get m/s like the other times, I don't have the big dark line down my belly this time, etc. But like Mbear said, different symptoms this time doesn't necessarily mean it's a different gender. Hopefully you're having a girl too, although boys are so awesome and three brothers would be so lovely .

Do you have any u/s pics you can post that give clues to the gender? There are some girls on BB that are great at guessing correctly

I never found out with my boys what I was having but with our last we decided to find out at our 32 week scan and it was a girl. But the whole pregnancy I felt like I was having a girl. I didn't know if it was wishful thinking or not. I didn't care either way what we had either but did think a little girl would be nice

Sending you little pink vibes as they are lovely (if not demanding) little things lol..

I had gut feeling with both my 2 DS was happy to share his bits on all scans where DD was not willing to share but was still confirmed. I have found that its little girls that tend to not show there "bits" girls tend to be shy compared to boys

but my advise it go on your gut feeling! if you have a strong feeling that bubs is a girl then i would go with that.
