i have been seeing my chiro since i was 16, so forever - he was aware of the IVF as i was seeing him for accupuncture as well - he change the type of treatment as soon as he knew of BFP - i'd literally only known a couple of hours.

a lot of the treatment involved deep tissue massage, which can sometimes hit points you don't want to hit while pg. there is also the fact you don't want to be having much pressure on your lower abdomen, so yes, i think you need to let your chiro know you're pregnant so that treatment can be altered accordingly

don't forget, pregnancy produces the hormone relaxin in your system which can alter your muscles significantly - this is something else that needs to be accounted for in your treatment - something that would normally have given you no grief (minor adjustment) may lead to excessive movement when the counterbalancing muscles don't pull as tight as normal kwim? i've not been to chiro for a few weeks (very unusual - i'm usually there every fortnight at a minimum as a result of a car accident as a child) - i guess i'm a little concerned about the impact of lower back adjustments - plus the MS is stopping me making the trip!

I saw my chiro at 8w and 9w. It is perfectly safe to see them throughout pregnancy. I would definitely tell him that you are pg though. I always think it's a good idea to tell any therapists you see that you are pg so that any treatment you are receiving can be altered if necessary.

I've kept seeing my chiro,i saw him 2 days after my BFP so since 5 weeks. I told him that i was pregnant & he modified my treatment accordingly. You need to tell him so that he can treat you safely.
