    Smile Waiting to pop...

I know everything is fine with my bubs, as I feel him move around and all my scans and check ups have been fine - but I still don't look pregnant at almost 22 weeks. In the past few weeks I've noticed my clothes starting to get tighter and my belly getting quite hard, but it's only enough for me and DH to notice. I'm impatiently waiting to 'pop' so that other people can see I'm pregnant too!

I know it varies for everyone as to when they start showing, but just out of curiosity I was wondering when other people have started showing - or have 'popped'?

I was pretty obvious at about 16 weeks but i think thats because I was quite little in the waist beforehand

i think it depends alot on where you are carrying and the uterus.
i dont honestly know when i "poped" because i think my body 'realxed' fairly fast and i've always had a pot belly so its depenant on alot of things too i guess...
i hope you pop soon...but be warned its hard to...erm...navagate around things when it happens (a slicer at work kept bumping my belly cus i didnt step back far enough! hah!)

    Hi Sterla
I don't what they call exactly pop, i just have a nice little round bump even now at 27wks. I do look more pregnant when i wear a coloured shirt other than black, we wear black polo shirts for work and i seriously do not look as far along as i am!

With my 1st I probably noticed it more at about 20 weeks, but with each subsequent one I got fatter quicker lol. This one you could tell at about 9 weeks. I looked huge lol.

Don't worry about popping out it will happen

I too would love my belly to hurry up and be obvious but I must say, in the past week it has tightened and started to protrude but only people who know I'm pregnant would realise it's a baby, others might not notice. My Mum says I am lucky to not be so big already like she was, because the quicker you grow and your skin stretches, the more likely you are to get stretch marks!! Also I'm quite small framed (under 50kg) so my midwife said she doesn't expect me to "get big" til at least 20 weeks. I haven't gained a single kilo since falling pregnant and I don't know how coz I've been eating like there's no tomorrow! Not sure if that's the same as you, but I'm sure you'll be showing soon!! I can't wait til I can show off my bump

    Hey Sterla,

    Don't stress!!

I really only started showing over the last 3-4 weeks and I'm now 32weeks!! This is my first bubby and my Dr said that most women stay quite small with their first and he said to make the most of it, coz in subsequent pregnancies, it'll probably all hang out much earlier!!

I've put up with people telling me I'm tiny and even asking if I'm sure the baby is alright for a lot of my pregnancy so I was getting quite concerned myself, but as long as your Dr/OB/Gyno is happy with your measurements, then relax with that!!

    Good luck with it all!!

How embarassing... this is my first bubba and I already have a fairly noticable bump... at 20 weeks...

I think it differs for every woman. I have put on about 7kg I think, but I feel great and my Obs isn't concerned - that is the main thing!

As an aside... clearly I do not look pregnant enough for commuters on peak hour Melbourne trains to offer me a seat... how annoying
