    Weight gain

I'm sure people have asked this before but I couldn't find any posts so I thought I'd bring it up again.

I have been refusing to weigh myself all pregnancy as I didn't want to see the numbers go up, however I caved this afternoon and was wondering if anyone was brave enough to compare their gain to mine...

Pre-preg I weighed around 64-65kg, depending on the day. A couple of years ago I weighed closer to 60kg but it seemed to have slowly crept up even though my exercise and eating habits didn't seem to have changed too much. That being said, I was always within the 'healthy weight range'. Anyway, today I weighed myself and I'm 71kg. I've never been anywhere near that in my life. It makes me feel huge, however, that being said, I don't feel like I have any extra 'fat' on my body. My stomach feels fairly tight and I don't feel like my legs are any bigger or anything....The only real thing that seems bigger to me (besides my bump) is my BB's, they've gone up 2 sizes I still fit into a lot of pre-preg t-shirts and some pants with looser waists (not my jeans lol)... so what I'm wondering is if 6-7kg by 23 weeks is 'normal' or too much or what? I know it ranges a lot depending on the person but your experiences would be great to hear about.

    sounds perfectly fine, hun

double check with your gp or midwife if it's stressing you out, though ... but it sounds perfectly fine - particularly given the BB upscale.

Thanks for the advice guys. It's not stressing me out, I just wanted to know if it was 'normal' or not

That sounds like a very normal weight gain
