hi, might be a bit late if you've already got over it, but i had a horrible cough during winter, it got to the point i couldnt sleep and i was scared it would send me into early labour. i did some research on natural therapies and came up with this, luckily i had some already in the house, i tried it that night and it soothed my cough enough for me to be able to sleep and the next day my cough was much much better, 2 more nights of taking it and my cough was completely gone! i have to warn you, it tastes gross, but it truly truly worked for me and if i get a cough again (even when not pregnant) i will def be using this!

apple cider vinegar (you need the good one, you can get it from supermarkets) 1-2 teaspoons
    hot water
honey to sweeten (wont take the taste of the vingear away totally but makes it bearable)

if your cough is still bothering you, give it a try! hope you feel better!

Homeopathic remedies (a form of natural medicine) are far more gentle than pharmaceuticals and perfectly safe to take during pregnancy. I would head to your nearest health food store and see if they have a Naturopath there that you can speak to. The mineral tissue salts Ferrum Phos, Kali Mur and Kali Phos are great for coughs too (ask at your local health food store).

    Goodluck.

Panadeine is safe in pregnancy. Codeine is a cough supressant. 4-6 hourly

My partner swears by Honey Butter menthols in the yellow not orange packet!

Thanks all, cough is getting better. I tried Lulu's remedy and it has certainly taken the edge off! Melbrodhi - I will remember that one for next time, thanks
