=) Spock, because I share the same first name as Spock's mums name, so I thought it appropriate that my child be Spock.

    congrats M!

My son's nickname was "Little Chyan" pronounced "Choong" lol! We had a client bring a cat in to the clinic and it's name was "Lemon Chyan". We thought the name looked pretty so we asked about it. She told us in her culture "chyan" is pronounced more like "choong" and when used after a name it meant that the person (or animal haha) was a very good/close friend. We thought it was really cute for the baby and it stuck.

We knew before conception that our daughter was a girl, so her nickname was always "Apple Blossom".

This bub was a big surprise to us and gave my hubby quite a scare, so it's been nicknamed "Baby Boo" lol! I have no idea if it's a boy or girl even though hubby has known since 12 weeks and we are now at 23 weeks.

DD1 was Jellybean because at our first Ob app, she said thats how bib bub was.
DD2 started off as Jellybean and then became bump
We has the NT scan this morning for bellybabe and the woman doing it complained about the wriggly baby about 8 times.. so i think wriggler may stick.

Shoopy. We were discussing totally ridiculous names and DF said "Why don't we just call the baby Shoopy-Doop?". Shoopy just kinda stuck.

DS #2 was Patcho (named by DS#1, no idea why)
My angel baby was Bubble (cos all I left was bubbles)
None of the names stuck, thank goodness!

DS was Moo- dont know why
Pg2 was tiger, DS named it. (now an angel)
pg3 - Current is Sonic again DS named it. (due tomorrow) Problem is now everyone is used to Sonic and I think bub will be nicknamed it for life. Yet my boss said name it Soniq- for a boy and Sonique for a girl.

    Liebling was... Liebling.

And just to break with tradition, Stormageddon is going to be... wait for it... Stormageddon. Wowzers, I'm original.

I tended to also refer to the whole pregnancy belly and foetus together as "the bumpling", because I waited for 8 months before it became a bump and then "bumpling" had stuck.

DD was Squirt. This little one is called Peanut - courtesy of a few girls at work so we could talk about the baby and how i was feeling without everyone catching on and the name has stuck

DH's pet hate is when people refer to the baby as "it" (e.g. "is it kicking')

No, Liebling has a real-life name too, I just rarely use it on-line. But you're not alone in not knowing that! I have people I allow on my facebook freaking out when they see I have a son whose name is not Liebling. I still do call him Liebling IRL though, just hyphenated with his real name. Like Fred-Liebling. Only nicer than Fred.
