Want a laugh Ren? I had someone at the train station say to me "oh by the looks of it you're having a boy?" and i just said "guess again" so she goes, "oh a girl! oh i thought so!"

Um, yep, ok She then went on to tell me why she could tell im having a girl. What the...? It was funny though, i dont think she realised how DUMB she sounded!

I've been pretty good at escaping all the sex guesses...Although we don't know either but I think it would begin to get a little annoying. I don't think anyones tried to guess just from looking at me!

I was convinced I was having a boy and everyone I spoke to said they thought I was having a boy too EXCEPT for two people who did the pseudo belly/carrying science thing and told me I was having a girl. Anyhow, they were a bit fruitloopy IMO so I ignored them. AND yep, the fruitloops were right and I was wrong! So much for a mother's instinct!

I completely understand! I get rather aggressive & grumpy during my pregnancies (apparently that's a sign of having a boy!) so people "guessing" at what we're having really irritates me to say the least. The next most annoying thing is everyone is an expert on how big you should be. But the number one for me is "The Belly Touchers" - people who can't resist bowling on in & having a rub/feel of your bump. It's almost like they expect a genie to pop out & grant them 3 wishes!

sorry for the rant - grumpy day today. Had all the belly comments yesterday along with the boy/girl predictions. Soooo over being preggers - want baby out now

Hang in there - I think you're doing well to just smile & nod at these comments. It's a lot more than I can manage right now, LOL.

Oh Ren... it's so frustrating isn't it.

We were out for dinner on Friday night with a big group of DP's work clients/collegues and the waiter told me he could tell i was having a 'Girl' because of the way my belly was. Then of course everyone wanted me to stand up so they could all have a guess/gawk!!!

And whats even worse is when people guess right and then proceed to tell you 'how they knew'! Its a 50/50 chance peoples!!!

Leasha - how funny! Some people

Oh joy,i have this to look forward to aswell

Renstar & everyone else, some people are just so smart are'nt they!!!
It's a 50-50 chance of getting it right you morons.

Right now i'm so fed up with the "Far out you're huge/massive for only 12 weeks" or "You must be having twins". There's only 1 in there people.I had this constantly now for about 3 weeks since i told work. I have customers making these comments, they obviously think because i'm pegnant it's ok Oh & the other comment i get now is "Oh the 2nd baby must've been hiding behind the baby you saw at the scan"

    Sorry,rant over.

People are so funny, i think they just want to be involved. My husband and I found out and haven't told a soul and it is really funny listening to people's reasons as to what sex the baby is, i have to hold my chuckle in!!
beau_9: i'm 21 weeks and we're having a boy and his heart beat was 159 so i don't think the bmp determine the gender.
Laughing it off is the best way i think although it does get a little gratting!!!

I hate when people compare you to their pregnancies.. "I was alot bigger when I was at that stage" My MIL is always comparing me to her pregnancy, which really annoys me and Im constantly telling her that not one person or pregnancy is the same! That goes for symptoms as well, just because I didnt get morning sickness doesnt mean my baby isnt healthy wtf? One lady actually said to me, "oh I heard if you get morning sickness your baby is healthy" what and mine isnt?? grrr lol

    end rant...
