I would be buying some cheap wire free bras for now, my breasts went up multiple cups throughout my pregnancies and went up AGAIN once my milk came in.
Hello! So I'm a little confused. I'm 8 weeks pregnant and my breasts and ribs are sore which is exacerbated by some of my underwire bras. The thing is, while sore and a little fuller my breasts are no larger- I'm a small 10C. I'm looking to get some wireless/maternity bras but a D cup seems to big. Should I stick with C cups even though in 8 or so months when the milk comes in my breasts might grow?or should I have the roomier larger cup now? Thank you!

I would hold out as long as you can on buying bras and then get professionally fitted.
I bought my Pregnancy BF underwire bras online..Frayer maternity and very comfortable. I went from a 10c to 10DD-E.
When you milk first comes in you may find you may not be able to wear a bra at all and wear something like a BF singlet that has like a shelf bra. When it settles down you should be able to go to wearing a BF bra. It was around 8-10days after giving birth that I started to wear a BF bra.
I would also recommend buying a few cheapies for now, and buy new ones as you need them. I went from a 12B to currently wearing 14C, when i fell pregnant they grew, my milk came in, they got even bigger, once BF was established they went back down.
Thank you so much everyone, this is very helpful.
I was a 10B before DS... within the first tri i had the same problem very sore boobs and i also went up a little bit so i bought wirefree but normal bras in a 10c. when my milk first came in i went up to a 10D and i bought one in that size but at home i lived in bfing crop bras and the triangle ones (from kmart). Found them easier at home. Then once i settled down after a few weeks i went back to a 10c however you can only get expensive bras in that size for bfing from specialised places i had to settle for a 12c. I couldn't justify spending that amount of money for only a few short months. so i lived alot in the crops.
From when my son was about 12months old i have gone back to being a 10A!! and i'm still feeding and i'm that size... which totally sucks to get bras now! i'm in kids crop tops! sad....
i have splurged and bought a bra from Intimo in a 10B so far for this pregnancy cuz i think in overall time i spent the most in that size (from about 5month -12months old).hope that is some help.
I've just bought a soft cup (non maternity) Calvin Klein in 10c and 10d. I figured I'd use both at some point in the next 12 months lol. I must admit I'm very fussy with my bras. I'm not a cheap or basic bra girl and have always loved wearing nice lingerie. CK fits me best so I was so excited to see the line stocks some soft cups. The other day when I went into DJs for the first time to look at maternity bras I asked the sales woman- who looked about 19- where they were and my issue- sore boobs but no bigger. She showed me the maternity section and actually picked up the biggest and ugliest bra there... I almost burst into tears!
There are some nice maternity bras out therethey cost a bit but you can get them
Hot Milk & intimo are some.
Check out cake lingerie LL. It's online but some stores carry them.
Don't buy them till you need them. I went from a 10dd to a 10i. You have a choice of about 2 bras at that size, neither of which fit and both are over $100.
Ooh thanks for the tips ladies! Off to peruse online...
Elle McPherson Intimates so some really classy ones - yay! Not too plain, not over-embellished.![]()
I got some crop top type of bras which where kind of cross over at the front so were actually maternity bras that look like a sports bra. They were pretty cheap and were from Kmart! Due to the style there was plenty of stretch so size didn't matter too much. I also found that Kmart had nice proper maternity bras that have pretty straps which is really nice when wearing summer clothes and your bra strap is showing (not that that has anything to do with your question)! The point is, check out Kmart![]()
Yeah I did the same, just bought cheapies so I could have the relief of not having under wire, until it had stabilised for awhile. I just got 3 new Hot Milk bras, up to a 14F >.< Fingers crossed they don' get any bigger.
