I had absolutly no idea when the 'should' be head down from, I can remember my ob saying last time that they will start looking at spinning baby etc from 'x' weeks, I just cannot remember what week number he said , I knew it was still early days (this time I mean) I just really wanted an idea so I could try put at least one thing out of my head, for now .
Hi Daintree
My obs said just this wed gone that anytime from 34 wks bubs should turn to head down. This is my 1st though, not sure if it makes a difference.
I think every baby is different. I have no idea when they go head down but with my number 2 the head was not engaged at 9am when I went to hospital in labour. He was born at 2pm so anything is possible.
I went for a scan yesterday and was happy and suprised to see that baby was head down, bum up .
The ultrasound guy scanned for about 20 minutes and left the room for about 5 minutes, I just sat quietly and waited for him. So he comes back and tells me he wants to look at a couple more things, I lay down he looks at baby, she has her head up under my left rib and she is bum down! I didn't feel a thing, so obviously she has plenty of room to be an acrobat still .
Oh well at least I know there is plenty of room and time to settle into her chosen position .
