I got mine from Ripe for $50 on sale and a pair from Pumpkin PAtch - check the online store as they always have great sale items.
Hi ladies,
It might seem like it's a bit early for me to be needing maternity clothes but already i can't button my jeans, I guess cause i'm small my belly has just decided to pop.
I have been looking for a pair of maternity jeans as I don't want to buy a larger size normal pair jeans as they'll be too big in the bum and legs.
I went to Chaddy on the weekend, found a lovely pair of under the belly fitting maternity jeans, dark blue skinny leg without fade just how i like them and then I saw the price tag$350!!!!
Oh my gosh, the girl in the store tried to use her best sales tactics on me but noooo way can I spend that much on a pair of jeans!
Where in Melb have you girls bought your maternity jeans, that fit well, look nice and are comfy for a reasonable price, pref no more than $100 i was hoping.
And any places with other maternity wear for a good price?
I've looked at target and kmart. Nowhere seems to cater much for preggie ladies except for high end botiques which i can't afford
Your help would be great as I am pinning my jeans right now.
Thanks girls xox

Thanks Nai
And congrats on the weightloss![]()
Mine were 129 from EGG maternity
I got mine online from Queenbee, I bought them on sale at 50% off and they were a bargain as I lived in them and wore them post pregnancy while my body took time to get back.
Check on Ebay once you know your size as Gap ones are comfy as well as Citizens of Humanity ones. The ones I got were Mamma J.
Pumpkin Patch. Both pregnancies. They were on sale both times. Comfy and they lasted well.
JeansWest do a range - $65 for one pair & $99 for two pairs of jeans. They come in different colours & cuts. My pair have lasted me nearly a year now and i've no intention of stopping wearing them any time soon (despite having DD3 3 months ago)!!
Back in 2006 i bought mine from pumpkin patch too. i also bought a long denim skirt there that i wore to death.
I bought mine online, but noticed the other day Jeans West now do maternity jeans.. 2 pairs for $100.
I have a pair of Ripe ones that were $200
I also have a pair of JeansWest ones that were $80 (at the time, cheaper now)
And I have a pair of Target ones that were $30
The Target ones are by far the comfiest. The Ripe ones looks the nicest, but not on.
Thanks ladies,
I need to check all these places out![]()
Oooo I just checked out the jeanswest website, they look like nice jeans, might even score two pairs, great price.
Thanks for the tips ladies.
Went to pumpkin patch at chaddy they had one pair of nice blue skinnies but not in my size, might check my local store![]()
Ahh forgot about jeans west I noticed them when it was too late as I was already 38wks pregnant, they looked great! Babyluv if you are going to Chaddy I am assuming you are out that way. There are two outlet stores in Oakleigh and Ormond. If you google Maternity Cltohes Oakleigh they come up. One is called Mamma Bella Clearance Store and the other Motherhood Maternity Warehouse.
Thanks Heather,
I'll google them now![]()
pumpkin patch for me too - two pairs did me through my PG & i've put them away because i will (hopefully) need them again & they should still be fine![]()
Honestly, I love JayJays jeans when I'm pregnant!! If you can handle wearing your jeans a little lower (just under the belly, rather than around the bottom of it) they are amazing. Most of their jeans have plenty of stretch and I'm noticed that they're actually cut a bit wider in the waist than (for example) JeansWest/Just Jeans (which is great for me because even back at pre-preg weight my waist is a little thicker than pre-baby, I still can't fit into JeansWest size 10's even though I'm a 9 in JayJays), so if your hips are a little wider than usual but your legs are still skinny, they accommodate perfectly. And you can pick them up for $30-$50 a pair so even if they don't last more than a few months, you're not too far out of pocket. HTHIf you're worried about flashing skin because they ride so low, you can fix yourself up with a $10 basic singlet from Supre under your shirts, they're really long so will cover that extra inch or two no problems
