Where did you buy your maternity jeans from?

    Hi ladies,

It might seem like it's a bit early for me to be needing maternity clothes but already i can't button my jeans, I guess cause i'm small my belly has just decided to pop.
I have been looking for a pair of maternity jeans as I don't want to buy a larger size normal pair jeans as they'll be too big in the bum and legs.
I went to Chaddy on the weekend, found a lovely pair of under the belly fitting maternity jeans, dark blue skinny leg without fade just how i like them and then I saw the price tag $350!!!!
Oh my gosh, the girl in the store tried to use her best sales tactics on me but noooo way can I spend that much on a pair of jeans!
Where in Melb have you girls bought your maternity jeans, that fit well, look nice and are comfy for a reasonable price, pref no more than $100 i was hoping.
And any places with other maternity wear for a good price?
I've looked at target and kmart. Nowhere seems to cater much for preggie ladies except for high end botiques which i can't afford
Your help would be great as I am pinning my jeans right now.

    Thanks girls xox

I got mine online from Queenbee, I bought them on sale at 50% off and they were a bargain as I lived in them and wore them post pregnancy while my body took time to get back.
Check on Ebay once you know your size as Gap ones are comfy as well as Citizens of Humanity ones. The ones I got were Mamma J.

JeansWest do a range - $65 for one pair & $99 for two pairs of jeans. They come in different colours & cuts. My pair have lasted me nearly a year now and i've no intention of stopping wearing them any time soon (despite having DD3 3 months ago)!!

I have a pair of Ripe ones that were $200
I also have a pair of JeansWest ones that were $80 (at the time, cheaper now)
And I have a pair of Target ones that were $30
The Target ones are by far the comfiest. The Ripe ones looks the nicest, but not on.

Ahh forgot about jeans west I noticed them when it was too late as I was already 38wks pregnant, they looked great! Babyluv if you are going to Chaddy I am assuming you are out that way. There are two outlet stores in Oakleigh and Ormond. If you google Maternity Cltohes Oakleigh they come up. One is called Mamma Bella Clearance Store and the other Motherhood Maternity Warehouse.

Honestly, I love JayJays jeans when I'm pregnant!! If you can handle wearing your jeans a little lower (just under the belly, rather than around the bottom of it) they are amazing. Most of their jeans have plenty of stretch and I'm noticed that they're actually cut a bit wider in the waist than (for example) JeansWest/Just Jeans (which is great for me because even back at pre-preg weight my waist is a little thicker than pre-baby, I still can't fit into JeansWest size 10's even though I'm a 9 in JayJays), so if your hips are a little wider than usual but your legs are still skinny, they accommodate perfectly. And you can pick them up for $30-$50 a pair so even if they don't last more than a few months, you're not too far out of pocket. HTH If you're worried about flashing skin because they ride so low, you can fix yourself up with a $10 basic singlet from Supre under your shirts, they're really long so will cover that extra inch or two no problems
