on saturday it was soooo hot, i needed something other than my maternity pants so went down to the shops. First stop pumpkin patch - $80 for a dress that looked like crap. So I left it.

Went into Kmart - they had 40% off any two dresses so I got two dresses and a top for work for $94.

Its so hard - they are all so expensive and i just got things just to see me through, because I really had to.

I think its such a waste to spend $$ on something for just a few months - so I am quite happy to stretch out some of my other clothes and get NEW things to wear for a long time afterward!

just to add - if there are any designers out there here is your niche to make a mint - Maternith CLOTHES and BRAS that fit each other! You know, tops that you dont have to pull up over your fuller fitting bra, straps n the dresses that aren't spaghetti straps etc....

my god we can land on the moon but we cant have affordable fashionable, comfortable clothes for our pregnant ladies!

I got fishermans pants, a strapless black dress and a couple of tops from Maternity-Me online for $25 a piece. They always have sale items for $15 - $25.

I got my jeans and another top from Pumpkin Patch on sale. Black pants for work I got from a local maternity shop. They were $90 and I wore them every day until I started mat leave

Also got a few cheapo $10 normal baby doll style tops from Cotton On and still able to wear them now, good for hiding post baby belly

I got a few things off ebay.
New stuff I got from Big W.
I also got stuff from Jay Jays, & Fashion Fair as the fashion these days isn't too bad for pg women.
I'n not a very big person though so that kinda helps.

You can also look in 2nd hand shop for pre-loved mat clothes...maybe google the second hand shops in your area. I know some 2nd hand shop also specialises in Mat clothes...as for me, i went to Kmart when they had the 60% off the 2nd garment and bought heaps of tops, mostly singlets adn a couple short sleeve shirts. All I need now is a couple pairs of 3/4 pants or shorts and I will be wearing skirts most summer.

I bought a lot of clothes from kmart. I liked their V neck crossover tops. Good for breastfeeding after too. Once I found my denim skirt I was happy. I also stretched out a few of my other tops and bought some from jeans west. I got them too big though, I got a large and am normally a s-m. the medium would have been better for me as there would have been some definition. I also bought some clothes from Pumpkin patch. CHeck out the online outlet store, I had aquick look and there are some nice tops for about $15.

    Good luck
