You won't regret going on a special babymoon - 3 years after the birth of our first baby, we haven't had more than single date together without the kids - a weekend away is still out of the question. So I think if you can swing it, definitely do it. Spend the money on a weekend away - in my experience, you'll manage to find bits and pieces of spare cash to get the baby things you need - but having a couple of days together before your baby comes along is really precious and you'll be so glad you did it.
We went away over Christmas, so I would have just started my second tri I think. It was nice...when I wasn't overcome by morning sickness...had to make a few stops on roadsides! Lol
Next weekend i may be going to Melbourne with DF, he has a job to do down there and doesn't want to leave me at home alone when I'm this close to popping...I don't want to be left home alone either! Just have to see if I can change my next antenatal appointment so I am able to go with him..I don't know what would be worse, being home alone and having something happen, or being in Melbourne and something happening...yikes!
