    x-rays

Is there a safe way to have an x-ray?

I desperately need to visit a dentist, I've had a back tooth break away and whats left is causing me heaps of pain and I cant eat on that side. I know it needs pulling, and possibly others around it need fillings, but to do either x-rays need to be taken to assess them.

So yah, can you have a x-ray while pregnant? Cant they put those blankets things over you ... or does that not prevent all the risks associated?

    Thanks in advance

    Ouch on the broken tooth!

I'm pretty sure those blankets block out all the nasty rays, especially since they wont be concentrated around your bump, but as long as you make sure your dentist knows your pregnant they should be able to do something. Call them and ask?

    Good luck!!

i had to have a chest xray when i was in hospital, and i wasnt very keen, but they re-assured me that with the lead coat/blanket around my stomach, there's no chance of bubba being hit.

and that was about 4 weeks ago, and bubba's doing fine and scans are all good
