    Your most unusual pregnancy craving?

What's yours? I've had so many cravings, but they're generally pretty acceptable ones. My hugest 'normal' craving through this pregnancy has been blue Powerade. Cannot get enough of the stuff, even the 1 litre bottles don't do it for me anymore, I'm now onto buying the 8 litre powder

My unusual craving? Fabric softener!!! Omg! I just want to chug it! That, the toilet cleaner, chlorine, soap. I actually lick my bar of soap Just a little bit. I also have this huge oral fixation with chewing things, mainly clean clothes, or a facewasher. My mouth is literally watering thinking about it! Omg! I'm a freak I suspect it's pica, I've always had low iron and I take a supplement alongside my preggo vitamins. Mmmm, might need to go find a tshirt to chew on now...

    So what's yours?

My worst pregnancy carving was the smell of petrol.. i used to smell it from a mile away, and when dh used to fill up, yep there i was sniffing it up lol!!
Not the healthiest craving but for some reason i loved the smell and still do..
The other one was chewing on skewers.. im not normal

    Mango.

Not so unusual you say? Well considering I have always hated them, couldn't stand the smell of them even because I thought they smelt like a pair of dirty old socks - here is me in each pregnancy beside a heap of them in the Coles fruit and veggie section - breathing in deep. For ages. Couldn't get enough of it.

Thank god I dont have to do that any more lol

not really unusual I guess but this time round towards teh end I couldn't get enough of frozen coke. But it had to be real coke in the freezer & then I would smash it all up. I could do a 2 ltr bottle in matter of hours. very very unhealthy but its what my body wanted LOL

Lol I also remembered two others, but I think they're tame compared to fabric softener and petrol

Limes, just a plain lime. Mmmm! And chocolate and capers. Or capers mixed with chocolate ice cream!

With Moo I craved tomato, ham & cheese sanwiches. They had to be store bought at a particular bakery & made on multigrain bread. It's unusual because I've always despised tomatos but not anymore . Same with orange juice!

    Enjoy your fabric softener!

Hmmmm, I've never craved anything non-food but went nutzo over some olives and olive tapenade we picked up in Margaret River. Ok, most of the time I enjoy the odd olive or two, but I was eating them by the handful! Have also been craving cabbage, broccoli, celery, snow peas - essentially any green veggies I can get my hands on.

    I haven't had any cravings

It actually seems to be a conversation killer... everyone expects me to have at least something

I do love hearing about everyone else's cravings though - and maybe someday I'll develop my own!!!

Don't worry Harriet - I didn't really have them with DD either. This time is a bit different already, which has been a bit of a surprise for me - but there's nothing wrong with not having any

With DD1 I couldn't get enough special sauce in the Big Mac. Although one day they did overdo the sauce and I felt a bit icky and after always preferring a Big Mac when we went to McDonalds, I don't really like them that much anymore.

Omelettes - tuna, cheese and chives but it HAS to be tuna in olive oil and only the Serena or Safcol brands.. Nothing else will do!
