Omelettes - tuna, cheese and chives but it HAS to be tuna in olive oil and only the Serena or Safcol brands.. Nothing else will do!

    My weirdest cravings were:

Chilli - I ate it every day, couldn't get enough of the stuff, the hotter the better. DH used to work in a pizza shop and they could NEVER make a pizza hot enough for me while I was pregnant.

Watermelon - I'd cut it up into chunks and eat a plate full but every time I ate it I'd vomit! It never stopped me eating it though.

Maccas chocolate shakes - which I lived on because they helped my heartburn. I used to make DH drive me to Maccas, which was an hour away just for a chocolate shake!

Wine - I was never a wine drinker before I was pregnant but I craved it badly when I was pregnant with my 1st baby but never drank it, as hard as it was not to. I also craved it with my 3rd but didn't know I was pregnant for the 1st 6 mths, so I drank a bottle a night, once I found out I was pregnant I stopped but the cravings were so strong.

Cake - When I was pregnant with my 3rd I used to go to Safeway every morning and buy the 'cake of the day'. I'd bring it home and have a slice, by the end of the day I would have eaten the whole cake :$ Then I'd be on the toilet all night but it was worth it!

Arggh, I am craving soft boiled egg. So bad I could almost cry because I know I can't have it.

Sigh. So how do you distract yourself from cravings that you *know* you shouldn't indulge?

I wasn't too strict on myself, I was probably a bit naughty really. I still had the occasional poached egg, tiny amounts of brie cheese (only if I had just opened it and taken it out), coffee/coke, processed meats.

Oranges. Couldn't get enough of oranges. I was 5w pregnant, walked through Safeway and bought 3kg bag. Lasted 2 days. I'd eat them whole... but they had to be chopped, not peeled. Don't know why. I think I bought 3kgs every 2 days until about 20w. Crazy!

Particularly when I don't eat them usually! Apparently something in oranges helps with iron uptake and blood volume? Not sure entirely.

I swore I had no cravings at all until we looked back at our shopping in my second trimester....apparently eating 3kgs granny smith apples a week IS a little unusual!!!

i normally like vegemite. might have it once every now and then.
when i was pregnant,i had to have it every day, and sooooo thick on my toast. i actually couldnt put enough on.maybe 1/2 cm thick. lol.
would drink at least 2 litres of iced tea every day at the start of pregnancy.
lime slurpee was the best for morning sickness.
and there was the odd occasion we just HAD to go down to local krispy kreme store to buy a dozen donuts. one time, DF started selecting them all, so i started crying because i wanted to pick the flavours. hehe.
