Have you tried stemetil (sp?) I can't take Maxalon either, I have a weird reaction, severe restlessness and insomnia, and the rate I was vomiting I couldn't afford ondansetron.

Stemetil worked a treat for me and it's MUCH cheaper hopefully it may work for you if you haven't tried it already?
