    Can I join in...?

Hi I'd like to pop in and say hello. Like someone else said, I was very comfortable in my LTTC forum....this one is soooo busy (which is inspiring) and I'm not sure how I'll keep up with everyone, but I'll try.

My history is in my signature, but my first BT was last Thursday and it showed hCG of 86 and progesterone of 240. My last experience was hCG in the low 60s and it rose albeit too slowly, and my proges. was in the same bracket as someone in their 3rd trimester! This time it's still high, and I'm really feeling the fatigue.

Due to the hCG level, I asked my GP to give me another BT on Saturday so I get results late this arvo. This is for peace of mind for me and DH. I try to keep reminding myself, 'there's no reason why this cannot go the distance now'. . . but it's we're still a little anxious.

I've decided instead of not dwelling on what might happen, to enjoy what is happening, and have bought a couple of mags. and borrowed a couple of books from the library.

Not sure if it's psychosematic (sp?) but my sweet tooth's is rapidly disappearing and I'm chowing down on fruit and drinking lots of water.

Anyway enough about me.....for those of you not asleep or actually still reading this:

Smithy - you sound incredibly organised!! Love your work...that'd be me all over!

Lise and Perse - HELLO!! so nice to see names I recognise! Hopefully I'll get to stick around for a while.

Boc - my goodness...another organiser!! sooo impressed with your list of dates

Murph - congratulations...I'm not contemplating birth yet...so many hurdles to get over first, but it's nice to know that even when pushed to your limit .... you can get a positive amazing outcome, well done, and I hope you recover from your experience and it becomes a more distant memory.

KellyD - congratulations to you also...I love the name Tara..for personal reasons

Bella - what an awful experience with your doc!!! That's outrageous, but good for you for refusing to be seen by him again. I hope your next few weeks are more relaxing and your bubba's continue to get ready to meet their mamma when you're all good and ready.

Greenslw - loving the image of pulling up those boobs and getting out and about! My issue is that my boobs make it around the corner 5 seconds before me as it is....I dread to think how big they're gonna get in the forthcoming months!!

I only went back a couple of pages....so good luck to anyone with impending dates...and congratulations to anyone who's dreams have just been answered with the birth of their wee one (or two!)

Hi airline and !!!! Crossing my fingers, toes and all my bits for you that you get great results today!

I actually remember you, I occasionally lurk in the 2WW thread to see who is hopefully coming our way. I also remember you from the "Our Furbabies" thread. Good to see a fellow fur-mama in here. Oh how I hope this is the one for you!

Great job on the personals by the way! Look forward to hearing from you later on with a result.

Hi Airline and Glad to see a fellow LTTTC poster in here!!

will be thinking of you today waiting for your BT results and praying for a good outcome!!

I think the no sweet foods is a good sign, my body has done the same too, although my body has decided everything bar fruit and bread is off limits for the time being...!

Hope you can manage to have a good day still, even though it is a Monday!

    Cheers, Lise

Hi Airline and welcome to the flip side . I have my fingers crossed that you have a good rise in HCG today and that you get to stay here for the next 8 months going crazy like everyone else (trust me it will happen).

It is so good to see more graduates from the LTTTC group coming across and taking up the places of us girls who have made it to motherhood. Lets pray that there are so many 2010 babies that BOC won't be able to keep up to date with the countdown list.

thank you for the welcome girls....I'm gonna do the usual and ask for opinions and experience plse.

my first BT hCG was 86....48 hours later I had one and it was 170. Just got result and I was happy but GP said although the figure doubled roughly, we'll get another done (no complaints from me), and check progesterone while we're at it, but he said it would've been nice for it to be in the 1000s.

I got the print out from the BT folk...
    week 4 lower=40 median=350 upper=2000
    week 5 l=400 m=1800 u=10000

I see the envelope is pretty wide ....but I thought I was doing ok...now I'm not sure.
Anyway any advice appreciated, and more results tomorrow.

    Goldi - see you're a pommie too

To be honest Goldie, it's more been a change of attitude I think, combined with knowing exactly what to expect and feeling more in control. A lot of people do acupuncture and I did it for months before and during and a little time after my first IVF. Unlike a lot of folk I didn't find it relaxing ...I just would get bored! so I stopped, but I do attribute my cycle regulating prior to IVF to be down to acupuncture.

I'm definately more of a 'realist' although DH calls me a 'pessamist', and I tried to change that with cycles 2 and 3. By cycle 3 we knew what we wanted to do ie. start asap, so went on pill to bring on 2nd bleed, and grow embie to blasty for transfer this time. I rested a lot more after EPU and particularly ET. I tried to visualise more and I made sure we went away for a few days during 2ww .. which is when we got our first BT result. The sense of calm has pretty much remained with me...I would just like to see the no.s go up this arvo and we'll both be more content.

I certainly attribute my saneness to this wonderful website and the wonderful women who grace these pages. They've been there for me in my darkest times. Good luck for your next move

Hi Airline. Thanks for this. I have also been thinking of acupuncture.. just looking around for one now, will try anything, I keep my self healthy and excercise everyday, and I rested the whole 2ww.. Good emby's to blast etr. DH said ''its just not ment to be this time". We are off to see the OB who did my EC tomorrow, hes with the same FC,the OB we had last time has a long wait list, he is surposed to be the best, but I felt very rushed with him, and wasnt sure what to expect with our 1st time Ivf...

So, we shall see what tomorrow brings. Good luck too on your no's, may they go up & up. Im back to the LTTC for now, keep in touch
