Hi Saph,

I hope you don't mind I'm pasting parts of an earlier post I made. We had an early scan because we'd done IVF so were able to see the heart rate a bit sooner. I'm not sure if this is something you can do?

It looks like you've had very similar numbers to those that I had - and I was the same as you, trawling the web for any positive story I could find!

FWIW I gave birth to a 3.9kg (so not little) little man after all of that kerfuffle. Happy and healthy, if a bit of a handful

I wish you luck in your journey,
Tish

We did a stim cycle in January, and 14 days after the transfer my HCG was 45. They said they liked to see at least 100 to "call it" (I remember thinking "how can i be half pregnant??"), and wanted to do a repeat test to see if they were doubling properly. At 18 days post transfer my levels were 150, so still not high enough - repeat test at 24 days showed 900. All this time they were talking about D&C and our next cycle, which was hugely scary. They still weren't happy with how the levels were going up and did ANOTHER repeate test at 31 days which was 4500. A week later we saw a heart beat on the 7 week scan and that put the matter to rest!! Right now I'm 30 weeks - everything has been very smooth.

During that time I was basically looking for ANY positive story I could find, and even read about ladies who at 2 months preg could POAS and get a negative result because their HCG was low, and went on to have healthy babies.

In any case, even if the next test doesn't come back as high as "they" expect things could still be ok
