well all was okay. dad lost power but has generators and apart from mum's garden being shredded, looks like they got through it fine. those cyclone building codes work! seems like the building codes along with great warning and planning from the govt has gotten a 'best result' from this storm
saph hope you hear soon.
still not allowed near ash, but hopefully tomorrow his spots will be all gone/drying out so i can smother him with mummy love (i did sneak a small cuddle this morn because he absolutely doutley wanted a mummy hug and was happy then!).

Family are all ok, no damage to houses but they are without power and water, and phone conections are still down for one of the families. We are flying my mother in law back to perth tomorrow morning. The flights were selling out very quickly.
Hope everyone else is having a good one. Campbell has his second day of kindy tomorrow, hope he is still brave.

Hi barney! how are those grandsons of yours going??? lucky nanna! congrats and how is charley - apart from cheeky lol.
well ash is heaps better and is being smothered with mummy love... not that he's real keen for that lol... he's got things to do mummy! he just 'helped' daddy sweep the floor, which you can imagine was a huge help.
We joined the local toy library here... it rocks! we've hired some toys, a car and a sort of cubby-house/activity centre thing for ash for 2 weeks. we was ssssooo excited when mum and i brought the toys home. the one here is very well patronised, which means it's huge and it's so cute seeing all the kids there selecting their toys lol talk about excitement!
still keeping ash quiet in terms of away from playgroups etc for another week til he's fully better (he slept from 7pm to 8.30am today!!!!! that never happens). then we'll get back into making a new life for oursevles here.
MadB - how are you going these days with your new arrival? hope all is well.
saph -for flying the MIL back to perth lol hope he has a good day at kindy tomorrow! and congrats on your rak too!

Grub - Campbell had an absoulte ball at kindy, but was most concerned that he didnt get to play outside. Boys will be boys. Thanks also for asking about my back. I have had a bad flare up again this week, but prob related to going back to work.
MIL go here on friday night and all is good so far. Not sure when she is going home. (When we can get the money to send her back.) She is going to get a $1000 from disaster relief, wonder if she will offer to pay us back. I dont expect her to, we offered to bring her here, but really think the relief should be for those people who have lost everything, not just those who lost power for a few days. especially since she was here.
Grub glad Ash is on the mend.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Better get off and do some work.

I've been reading lots lately, but there is never enough time to read AND post!
Sympathies to all invloved in all the crazy weather events. It's so random and it must be scary when it's happening and devastating when it's you who is affected.
Happy Birthday to Melbel's little lad. One year old - time flies :-)
My DS2 is walking now - eek, he's 13 months tomorrow! And DS1 started 3 year old kinder today (he's three in March). They are leaving those baby years behind...boohoo.
And today is my 7th wedding anniversary, although as DH keeps reminding me today, we have been together for almost 13 years - more than a third of our lives!!!
Congrats on the RAK's girls - it's so awesome to see how much love and support this ecclectic bunch of lovely ladies gives to each other.

Life is pretty tiring for me at the moment. But wanted to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all our birthday's recently... Xavier, Connor, Lenny's little boy and I think Miss Charlie had a birthday as well. So many big boys and girls around now..

Sorry if I've missed anything else, I've been reading but I have very severe baby brain now...
I have now passed 24 weeks and have to very big active boys on my hands now. My new signature photo was taken on Saturday at 24 weeks and I'm now as big as I was just before Tara was born so I'm really struggling to do basic things at the moment. Plus I have one very active toddler who wants to explore everything and is not content to sit and play anymore, she wants to walk and run everywhere... It is however nice to know that with every passing day my boys chances of survival if they come early is getting better and better... 24 week ultrasound on Thursday and then I have my Ob appt next week along with my first meeting with my new Lactation consultant sho will hopefully help me when the boys are born to get b/fing up and running. Scary to think that as from next weeks ob appt I'll then be on fortnightly visit's, that seems to make everything seem so close, but by the way things are going I have a gut feeling we won't last until my planned c/s. I'm thinking they will be here around the 35 week mark (easter) so I'm already making plans at my parents place so that Tara has a cot and some things of her own there as she will spend a lot of time with nanna & grandad if the boys do come early. Good thing that she loves her grandparents and they spoil her rotten so she won't feel left out... Oh, and I also got Tara twin baby dolls the other day as well (albeit girls) as we want her to have a present when the boys are born so she will have her own twin babies now just like mummy.

but I reckon that 3 yr old of yours would be pretty entertaining. DH and I spent the whole weekend chuckling about ash's 14month-old antics... he's not even talking properly yet lol. Happy Anniversary as well! tell him its unpardonable to remind you of your age lol.are you doing anything special???
Oh kelly, love, i just feel for you. You are doing such an amazing job, i'm in awe. I'm exhausted with ash and his running around so i can only imagine how tough it must be atm. but glad you have family nearby to help with tara once your little treasures get here. and woowwweee I hadn't even thought about the logisitics of BF twins. but hey, you've done it all before and not that long ago so you are already yards ahead than if it was your first!

Well our feeling better baby has had a brain fart. He woek up at 11.30 last night and cried off and on for 2 hours! we fed, changed, drugged, hugged, made warm, made cool, hugged all to no avail. He'd go to sleep for 10 or 30 mins then wake crying again. Not really sure what it was all about but as a result he was feral and clingy this morn. Nan left on sunday and daddy went back to work yesterday, so not sure if he's feeling a bit insecure. I just hope he hasn't picked up another bug on top of hand, foot and mouth disease!
off to update our details with centrelink. A major baby brain incident post birth with Ash saw me type in a completely made up income (i know, how dumb, i was tired okay and those number buttons are small) so it put us over the threshold. And in a move of monumental slackness, I still haven't fixed it. in my defence the centrelink lady we saw was very rude and confusing to deal with. But jsut saw a family assistance lady here nad she was so wonderful. So finger out, as a little bit of extra money would really help us atm.

Oh no about the sleeping with Ash, I think it is those blasted molar teeth. Tara has terrible nights with them... And yay for getting stuff sorted for centrelink, I hate dealing with them (I worked at the Family Assistance Office before I had Tara) so now I only deal with our local Medicare Office which is also a Family Assistance Office as they are always much nicer. Although I already have an insite into the dealing behind the scenes so try to get as much right straight up so I don't have to deal with them... Although I do need to contact them to make sure they have the correct Medicare number on file so I get the immunisation allowance after Tara has her 18mth needles..
Anyway as for names, Yep we have picked them out... I was so hard but I sat DH down and we narrowed them down as boys names for us are so hard. The names we have chosen are not names that we had to have but I wanted to get it sorted early on so they will grow on us... We aren't telling any of our family or friends but if you can all keep a secret I'll let you know what we have chosen.. That means no FB mentions either....
So our guy on the left, referred to as Twin A or my middle child will be: Liam James
which means our righty or baby of the family will be: Cale Patrick
We wanted to stick with Irish/Gaelic names as Tara's name is Irish (so is mine) and there surname is also Irish. So a bit of a tradition, plus they are short names so when I am screaming at the top of my lungs for all of them it shouldn't be too much of a mouthful..
Anyway, I've given you my favourite girls name that would have been used for one of these if they were to be a girl..

Yep we are all safe here. Along way from the fires living in suburbia. lol
As for names I like Issac for a boy and Audrey for a girl and you can have these as we will not need either lol. Oh I also like Grace.
Grub and Kelly try and rest and just know I am going out in sympathy with you. The logistics of getting two kids organised and out the door in the mornings has me up before 6.
