Smithy oh hun that is just awful, Linc has the opposite and is screaming too. But that's the antibiotics. When did you last see your GP maybe it's time so glad things are better this morning.

    Thanks for your thoughts Lenny

Grub I agrea re before they cry and at this age it's not going to "spoil" them. I've been doing that with Linc I think that's why the sling works for him, I'm right there to comfort before he looses it. Just frustraighting when you get them back to sleep then they have a pain and they're wide awake again.

    Happy 4 months Adam

Well I was silly last night and ate some spicy sasages. Linc has wind ++++++ again. Also he's really fighting sleep at the moment, this was before the wind, he likes to be awake. But gets over tired. Mum says I was like that so I've been forcing the SLEEP issue. Oh and he slept for 3 hours! two nights in a row, Not holding my breath but very excited.

Back to the GP tomorrow, I hope his UTI is on the mend, besides the wind he seams alot better, more alert and happier to feed. OMG he drained my boobs three times last night. How early can babies have their 6 week growth? He's already rolling over and holding his head up I wonder if he's running a little early.

Smithy - how's things? Still better I hope.

If she's still having trouble, I'd seriously consider changing formula back - did it start with the thickened stuff? I know you're having a hard time with lack of sleep, but is there anyone that can help you out? Hard poos are really not good, poor little thing.
A deep, warm bath might help. Also I've heard wiping their anus with a cold wipe might help. Or just plain water. Sugar I've heard is an old wives' tale though I know lots of people recommend it.
    Did you get a sling?

Green - wow, rolling already? That's amazing Glad to hear he's doing a little bit better.

    So true BG!

Hey Smithy, I just got a hot tip from someone I know who had the same problems - Brauers teething and colic relief. Worth a try

smithy - i haven't wanted to really comment about the constipation and formula issue as i'm not FF BUT, i have read a couple of times where you've said about making the formula more watery. now, as i said, i'm not FF so i'm not sure, but is watering it down a good idea? i'm pretty sure some of the reason that the formula companies were copping so much flack overseas was because people were unable to afford formula once their milk dried up, so were watering it down to make it go further... i would be worried about DD getting as much nutrient as she needs if you water it down

i know you switched to the thickened formula to try and stretch out her feeds and get her sleeping longer - but if it's going to give her so much grief, i would be going back to the other formula and copping the 2 hourly feeding! we went through 2 + months of DD only dirtying once every week or 10 days, and she would SCREAM in pain when it happened - so i understand why you're trying everything you can to get C past this - just make sure that watering down the formula is not going to be detrimental to her.

Oh my goodness formula sounds scary. hope I can keep bf My gut is saying little Linc is lactos intolarant though BUGGA.

The rolling freaked me out, I can't leave him on the change table which make washing hands interesting. Although I have wedged him in there a couple of times. shhhh He's pretty strong holding his head up for ages. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, and I agrea the longer they aren't mobile the better.

ATM sling on baby sleeping I think this time it's the antibiotics though. Oh who knows I'm getting a little peed off with not knowing what is upsetting his belly. back to GP for answers I hope.

I bit the bullet and put bubs in the pram, shhhh still asleep. maybe I can now too.
