Adam a little cherub, but I've given the poor little boy my cold. I tried so hard not to give it to him, but I guess it was inevitable. Luckily it's not too bad, he's just a bit snotty. I set up the baby monitor for the first time because I got it my head that he could stop breathing. anyway, the little talking sounds coming form up there is just gorgeous. He sound slike he is proacticing his vowel sounds. AAAAAEEEEEEE, EEEEEEEE, OOOOOOOOO.

I'm taking my poor little dog to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow! She will maybe have the op tomorrow depending on what he assesses.

just jumping on the new thread. The move date has been brought forward and we have a house to go to ...yay! I started wondering if it wasnt your DFs house on KI Green, cos i didn't know he had one, then I got cranky at him for leaving you to work on the house while you are struggling. My real estate agent says the owner just wants to do some painting etc and i thought how funny it would be if it was his house we are renting. It's a big 4 bedroom, 5 carport! After living here in one bedroom, it's a bit extreme but it was slim pickings for renting with dogs. Gees, dogs are better than people. Must dash (albeit slowly, or the wee one will drop to the floor)

long story, but dot points are that i broke my arm when i was a kid, tearing the cartiledge between the two bones at the time. surgery hasn't corrected it, so my wrist dislocates itself if pressure is put the wrong way (which can be something as big as me falling on it, or putting weight on it as i stand up, or as small as carrying E and her weight shifting, cuddling DH in bed and him moving my hand the wrong way) - anyhoot, i know it is a weak point, but i try to not keep it strapped all the time as it will weaken it further. i'm probably in need of more surgery on it to try and stabilise it again. this time, i did something stupid that popped my wrist and jarred my shoulder and possibly torn muscle through my shoulder/shoulderblade region (bloody red head temper!) - because that side of my body is really uncomfy, i was overcompensating and using the other side for everything and it has created pain in my right hand side as well. E being as big as she is now, carrying her weight on the same side all the time has made things nasty for me. she is also still being rather clingy with the teething gig and wonder weeking at the same time. it's been full on!

new mummy's - if you haven't already, see if you can get hold of a copy of the wonder weeks book - it is a fantastic resource - it explains so much of what goes on during those really fussy periods. it doesn't by any means FIX the fussy periods, but it helps so much to understand WHY they are doing it - and how to help them through it with appropriate activities. i am someone that gets very easily frustrated (hence the dodgy wrist incident this past week) but i am not only able to put that frustration aside when E is wonder weeking, i'm able to help her through it. understanding what is going on with her is a key driver for my own sanity lol

fourth tooth is on the brink. i almost went so far as to say it was through earlier - but it still feesl a wee bit spongy over the top of it - so i might make it official later lol. i now have my very own little vampire girl. all she wants for Easter is her two front teeth lol

Bg sounds like you are having a rotten time of it right now. I empathise with the arm thing... i had a bad break when i was a child and now have a arm full of damaged nerves and scar tissue attached to the bone.. ouchy! but nowhere near as nasty as what you are experiencing.

thanks for the wonder week advice. i'll keep an eye out. I think we are having one right now mind you! brh.

Murph - wow things seem to be moving very quickly! you must be so excited - bigger house! does that mean that jazzy isn't in the wardrobe anymore lol.

neptune - good luck with the dog's visit tomorrow. poor little thing. And how cute is Adam's chatting! lol. Ash did a similar thing this morn, he was sort of laughing (he isn't quite giggling just oooohhhhing a lot). They are so precious atm

green - that's good he acutally listened. i reckon dh is better at listening thesedays. and hope it all goes smooth with the MIL. thanks so much for the encouragement love.

Thanks for all your advice/support re fussy feeding. Rang the ABA and spoke to our health nurse - consensus is reflux. ugh. poor little sod. so have to try and just keep doing what i'm doing and hope it clears up soon. if not i'll go to the docs. He's nearly 3 months so i'll leave it til at least then. It's off and on and that's what has been confusing me.

He has decided today that if we go 1 second past when he says it's bed time he will absolutely crack the biggest tanty - screaming to hoarness and nearly making himself sick! All Dh did was lay Ash on the change table to dress him after his bath (for which he was all smiles) and it was the end of the world! lol. You should have seen the quivering lips once i settled him down a bit. Felt bad for Dh as he would only settle for me. on the up side, i got him calm and popped him to bed and he has been asleep ever since

Has anyone got a long, thin bub & if so any tips 4 getting clothes or particular brands? ash is in 00 already even without the cloth nap on! but they fall off the shoulders and fit on the length.

Grub, we went through the long, thin baby a few times. With some of our size transitions... I'd sometimes put something on Sam, pick him up and have his shorts fall straight off! In winter it's really hard as you need long sleeves and long legs, and it's just impossible. I've got through most of Summer with Sam wearing both 0 and 1 as the length when wearing t-shirts and shorts isn't so critical. For a while he still had a pair of 00 shorts that still fit. There was a time when he was wearing 00 shorts and a size one t-shrt to get his shorts to stay up and have his t-shirt not expose his belly. He's grown a bit now and we can get most size 1 shorts to stay on (but not always up!). He wears a lot of overalls just to stop things falling off or down. When it came to winter clothing I would try to find jeans or pants with cuffs so that I could get some extra length out of them and would often have to put him in a top/jumper that was quite baggy. Sizes can very a lot between different stores, too. Kmart clothes are always on the small side (great for the start of a size transition), especially in the under 0 sizes. Dymples which you get at big w always tend to be HUGE and so I try to avoid them until he's quite solidly in a particular size. More of an issue once you get to starting to look at size 1 clothing, but from target the size 1 clothing from the baby section is smaller than the size 1 clothing you can get from the kids section. If you can't get overalls, go for stuff with elastic waists as they tend to stay up a bit quicker than something that only has a button or part elastic waist.

Anyway, crap day at work yesterday so I'm doing all I can to avoid getting ready to go this morning, so I should go... and will try to get back later, but not likely to happen today. Once DH has picked me up he needs to drop me and Sam at home and take our car out to get new tyres. Hopefully Sam will consent to having two naps today and I can put him to sleep when we get home and all will be well.

Hey Grub I've found that if you buy anything "bonds" from Best & Less or any of the Target Baby stuff it is smaller. Tara is moving up to size 0 now in most clothes and I went to Target to get her some all in ones and they show the length up to 76cm, where the Dymples brand from Big W has size 0 up to 104cm (WT). So basically anything I have from Target for her in a 0 she can wear or if from Big W it's 00.

Murph: about the new big house. I bet you guys will end up camping out in just one room (ie: Family Room) anyway. I can just imagine you at night going into Jazzy's room half asleep and bouncing off the wall of the hallway as you haven't had to negotiate those before...

BG: So sorry to hear you are in pain, at least you DH around to help you out with E.

Hello to everyone else, not much time this morning I'm trying to get the washing done before little miss wakes up.

Now I don't want to sound like I'm bragging but Tara has now decided that going to bed at 8.30pm is the ideal time and waking up at around 7am for a nappy change and bring in to the big bed and then going back to sleep until 9.30am-10.00am is now the norm. When she wakes for a nappy change she is not hungry and even when she wakes later in the morning I still get about 15mins to get her breakfast ready. She has now increased her solid feeds to twice a day as well. Breakfast and lunch and is still having the same amount of bottles so she is taking to solid food like a duck to water, and man o man the nappies..... yuck..... we are now getting on average 2 dirty nappies a day (the other day we had 3) so I definately know we have no constipation issues here. She is loving anything put in her chubby gob, sweet and savoury, so looks like (fingers crossed) we don't have a fussy eater on our hands - not yet anyway.

Anyway girls, better get moving I'm off to Target to buy some size 0 and 1 all in ones for Tara (on special for $5) as I don't have any all in ones with feet in the bigger sizes and as they will fit her nad the weather is starting to change thought I had better stock up. Thanks for the reminder Grub (re: clothes sizes).
