Welcome back smithy glad the move went well and you're house is peaceful.

Neptune 7 months went so quick i remember you birth anouncement

Grub and Saph my sympothies Linc's been sick for a week now, I've got the heater and humidifier cranking but not sure if it helps much, he's still pretty happy during the day but chesty at night

ATM DH and I had a huge fight last night, I think we're both so over tired it's getting to us and this morning he didn't even say goodbye I didn't even hear him leave and woke to Linc screaming at 5.30am in a dark house. Linc has slept a little better from his horror 1 hourly wake ups on Friday night but still very unsettled but I don't blame him with a blocked nose. Last night I got up at 10pm resettled him three times and then started to cry as DH came in took Linc and proceded to yell at me because he was wet! I checked like 5 mins prior then he got on his high horse about him needing a feed. he used to sleep 6pm - 4am before a feed so 7pm-10pm doesn't mean he NEEDS A FEED! anyway DH threw a fit woke link up heaps and it took me 2 hours to resettle him, then he woke up at 3am and instead of resettling him (my preference) DH got him up I don't know what to do about his angry sugar honey ice tea, I don't do agro (life is too short) and it's getting to me that he can't hold his cool esp over DS. what to do what to do.

I go back to work next week I'm so scared how do you ladies back at work do it? sick bubs, no sleep and work?

oh oh green, you are not alone lovely. Big hugs for you.
DH and I have been a bit snappy at each other lately as well. Just out of tiredness I think but it is still not nice.
I found when DS was really unsettled, one of us had to take the lead and set a pattern/routine for him so he knew what was going to happen (ie doing the same things over and over in terms of settling, getting to sleep, feeding etc) and once that was established the other person was brought up to date on what the system was.
But boo hoo to DH about yelling at you cos bub was wet! does he think you would knowingly let your baby cry or be wet? or that you hadn't thought of that? men!
I hope you can sort it out. You never know maybe he might come home today with an apology or at least willing to talk to you about it. Yes, you are both tired but him yelling at you is not going to give him more sleep!
hope you have a better day than night love. And by the way, i found DS became really unsettled about 4 months old, i think it's a growth thing. ox

To be honest Green, I really don't know how I managed sometimes. I guess you just do because you have to, just like all the rest of parenting. All the best for next week.

Ah, baby colds suck! Hope they're well again soon.

Hope the FS appointment goes well Kelly.

    Hi everyone!

Smithy you need a ride on OMG what a work out.

Grub so you're headed to NT too, the army barrocks up there are very distracting hope your mummy visit is going great

Saph it's funny how all children are diff. Linc hasn't got rolls or a fat belly but he's very long and I think that's why, with all the fuss around his milk I was shocked. But I was always off the charts as a baby too

Well we had a minor miricle today after trying Linc on solids again he slept for 2.5hours he hasn't done that day or night for two weeks. I'm at work tonight so fingers crossed he sleeps good for his daddy. I was at the end of my rope this morning but quietly confident, I think due to reflux he doesn't want to drink any more he's still having 7 bottle a day but no extra mls. He really enjoyed the rice cerial (more like milk) smiled and wanted more. He's been fussy with his bottle and screaming at it alot so into the dark room and it seams to work alot better must be over stimulated.

My mind is wondering back to work and I hope you don't mind but I need to vent some insecure thoughts. *****rant alert*****

My assistant took over my job for my Maternity leave and we aranged to meet up a month before I returned so I'd know what was going on, she has been "busy" and this hasn't happened, the manager above me is a "control freak" and has said "she wouldn't alow me to know what's going on until I come back!" not happy at all, she also has said what a "wonderful job" my assistant has done and how "the team is doing so well" I saw red, like I've done nothing like all the fights to bring in new things over the past year were nothing! grrrrr So now I'm left wondering what the F*** is going on, my staff all seam really keen to have me back and when I popped in with Linc the other day they were so happy to see me although my assistant didn't really make eye contact. I smell a rat and it's annoying me. I think after a cuppa and a few niceties I'm going to call her on it, life is way too short for games and I'd rather be at home with my bub than games at work. especially when I could do two night shifts and make the same $$ (don't worry I've thought about it more than a couple of times) just feels like that would be a back step and I'd loose my car which we need as DH has a ute with a bolt in the front but I'm not keen on that.

    Ok vent/rant over.

I'll have to post the pic of Linc with cerial all over his face, he stuck his tonge half way out just licking his lips for ages, it was so so so cute.

hi ladies - haven't been posting in here much - seem to run out of time between work and mobile bubba girl, but thought i'd make a bit more effort today - have been reading though!

anyway - my poppet turned one yesterday!! i can't believe we've had her for a whole year already (well a year and a day!). we had an amazing combined birthday for her and I (i was 30 a few weeks ago and didn't want to have a party, so DH turned DD's into a combined one) - sooooooooo tired now! up til 2am friday night setting up, then up at 7 yesterday to finish getting things like balloons up outside. then we had NINE houseguests (and another half dozen that didn't leave til 11 last night) - the 18 and 16 year olds gave DD jelly last night (not a drama if it was early in the day, but not late at night) - she was on a sugar high and wouldn't sleep until after midnight (and then was unsettled) - will get her t have a decent day sleep soon so we can clean up the last bits and pieces - and then we're having a cake smash photo shoot this afternoon. for those who i have on FB, i'll post some pics a little later

in other news, we are now getting sentences ("where is she" "there she is" "no, i don't want to") and E is WALKING - we went from furniture surfing to walking in a day. she took steps 6 weeks ago, but had no confidence so gave up. nine days short of her first birthday she decided walking was the go and now walks everywhere - except if other people are watching lol.

must away - need to clean up
