MadB, hope the party was good! Did you have it at your house or were you very sensible and had it elsewhere?! It was a gorgeous day for a party, well at least it was here so I'm sure you had beautiful sunshine too!

Well I've still got a sick little boy, he's had a temp the last few days, still incredibly snotty and having trouble feeding as a result as he can't breath and feed at the same time! Went to the gp today so we're in quarantine for the rest of the week, no play group or mummy coffees for me :( I did find some time to totally rearrange my house this afternoon while Finn was sleeping, it looks lovely and DH is happy that I have created the new spaces I thought we could only achieve with very expensive extensions
just by moving furniture!!

Absolutely no time til Jazzy explodes at me for being on the computer and there is only so long I can stall her with really fun things that doesn't involve her not doing what I'm doing. she has become a total mimick and has to do everything the same. completely gorgeous but frustrating as hell.

CK, I think I remember jumping for joy one week when Jasmine had a weight gain of 70g, then I realised it had been two weeks between weighing. Saph thankyou for making me feel that it was normal, with your DS having the same 20-50g weight. I could only imagine what 300g must be like but I think as long as they keep putting on weight and stay on their own trajectory on the charts (Jazz was 3rd percentile for weight, then after surgery at 12 months went to 0 per cent and stayed there). She is and was a completely happy, healthy, bright as a button little bub, so they are all so different and NEVER stick to the rules!

Well I was gonna tell you Biarches Grub and (damn, can't remember that other slack Newcastle cow, BOC??:p) that you are Biarches for raining on my parade re the train trip but oh my godddddd, you are so right!!! I am all booked but it's just crazy, a 3 and a half hour car trip, or 45 minute flight becomes a 1 and half hour bus trip plus 3 and a half hours on the train, then we go to our appointment in Sydney, only to do it all again coming home!!! So yeah, not at all romantic, we have decided to just drive. If it was just train, then okay, but bus - you are kidding!

Okay glass french doors in rented houses and stroppy unsupervised toddlers is a recipe for well ...losing your bond! Love yas.

Oh, by the way, at 17 months....drumroll...jazzy is standing and walking (still only sometimes) but it's still amazing. I know it's late but did she ever do anything by the book?:clap::clap:

oh murph! it's so silly ain't it. Driving in sydney is truly not as bad as you think, particularly if you let DH do it! lol. Serioulsy tho, we used to drive to hornsby station, park there for the day and then catch the train into the city or wherever. So that may be a better option for you if your appointment is right in the city area or a really busy area.

well Ash has been so full on this week but such a lovely child, mostly. We even went out for lunch and he sat at the table and was happy and laughing and i got to eat my meal in peace!!!

Lenny, hope your household is gastro-free! have you partied yet??? My DS has been 10.8kg for months now (he's 15 months) but still seems to be getting bigger if that's possible lol.

A big :hello: hi-diddly-hi to the rest of you lovely ladies, hope you're enjoying your Fri night!

Don't know if any of you have felt like this since having your little cherubs but lately I have just been REALLY longing to be :bellygrowing: again, really aching for the kicks and bump and the excitement of knowing there's a little being on the way. Can't afford another cycle just yet, and the health insurance funding doesn't kick in for another 10mths so not much else I can do other than hope & :pray: for some freakish miracle. Doesn't help that I know about 15 people due in the next 6 months either! Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy for them, just wish I was joining them!

I'm just loving the age DS is at right now too. He's just so switched on at the moment. He picks up the brush & tries to brush his own hair, when I'm changing him he hands me wipes one by one and even occasionally tries to wipe himself, and the other day he was on the top lounge & his nappy accidentally came off so he brought it down to me on the bottom lounge, dropped it in my lap and then laid on the floor so I could put it back on him! He's also adding more words, "Pa", "Gran", "Ello" and "tsthis" (What's this?") and he LOOOVES dancing & singing, does it constantly, not many words but several clearly identifiable tunes (with actions), we get "gloomp gloomp gloomp" and "la de da de da" from the frog song, "wipers on the bus go swish swish swish", "if you're happy & you know it" and "twinkle twinkle" and it's rather cute when he entertains people in shop queues, complete with self-applause :lol:

Anyway enough of my rambling, DH & DS are snuggled together & crashed out in front of the footy on telly so I might ignore the 5 loads of washing sitting on the pool table waiting to be folded and sneak off for a few zzzz before they come & take over the bed :shhh:

oh boc yes! i know i'm preg now. but basically since DS was born i was desperate for another one. Looking back now, I realise it must be hormones or instinct or something cos it was very powerful and I was in some sort of rush or panic to use those eggies. It just worked out that our timing suited my need ... but now i'm soo preg and Ashton is just sooo lovely (don't you love these little toddler years!) I do wish I had of waited a bit and just be able to enjoy him and the freedom that comes with having one cheeky one :)

that's not to say i'm not nearly peeing my pants with excitement at having another bub and I realise how absolutely fortunate and lucky we are! i must warn you all tho, even going back for 2nd babies all those fears and hurts from when you were trying for number 1 come back again.

I'm always worrying and having little panics that "somethign bad'' is going to happen... even now. Thankfully this bub is very active so that keeps me in check most of the time. But I'd say that fear is even worse this time round cos I really felt it all happened too easily so therefore my logic says something bad will happen. I know you all understand that ramble lol.

BOC i know how you feel, even though the decision has been made for us I some times wonder what if. But then with Xavier growing, getting past the baby stage I think it is just a reaction to that and all the babies aound us.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. we are cleaning painting and getting ready to start our extensions. BBLLAAHH the house is a mess. New carpet going in on Thurs.

Oh man I am going batty, Xavier has had Roseola Virus. It is a very mild virus with a rash but very contageous. By the time children get to 3/4 they have been in contact with it and are immune. Well becuase of this daycare would not have Xavier all this week. So I have not been to work this week. But the frustrating thing is he is not sick at all, just has a rash. So anyway you would think that with being stuck at home all week my house would be spotless, well not true. Well the carpets and the couch smell nice because I just sprayed them but my book is looking very appealing. Sorry for the ramble, just a bit bored. Maybe I will go start packing for Bali. we dont go to june. lol

although i cleaned out a cupboard, and bought a new broom/mop thing and some baskets to organise my pantry yesterday.. i think nesting is starting... it'd be in full swing if it wasn't so bleeting hot here!!!!

Hope Xavier is better soon Saph, nothing worse than being stuck at home! Finn is sick too and also very contagious so we're at home also. DH has been home the last two days and is itching to go back to work to get away from us :rofl:

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all well. Finn is STILL sick - started as teething two weeks ago and is now on antibiotics for a respiratory infection. And he's still teething. I can see he's in pain and although the antibiotics seem to be kicking in slowly unless I dose him up on Panadol and Nurofen he's not happy. And he's waking HEAPS at night - for the last two weeks I haven't had more than a two hour stretch at once and lately it's been more like 30 mins...

Better go, DH is with him now but he wants mummy cuddles.

OMG what is it with me and sick kids. Campbell has come home from school to be vomiting everywhere. At least DH picked him up from school so the first vomit was in his car and not mine. hehehe

well lise thanks for asking. Pantry is looking good... so is the laundry :) hahaha

took Ash to a localy playcentre here and he had a ball! of course lol. they had a 'cage-em-in' area for the toddlers but of course he wanted to go down and play with the big kids... in this huge fort thing that had lots of crawling tunnels!!! i'm just too preg to even comtemplate that lol. :)

dh is working late tonight so might go get a video out... reocmmendations encouraged :)

oh and stupid centrelike said I haven't provided them with enough details to be assessed for rent assistance! I have given them the lease and filled out two rent forms! so i rang up and the guy looked through it all and told me he didn't know what the smeg was going on as I've done everything required!!! I was peed off cos i got quite a curt letter about it all! pft. And i hadn't even applled for RA yet, just FTB! so hope it's sorted soon.

BOC we had gastro too - it's yuck. DS1 is tt of course. Poor munchkin, it's his first poo accident ever. He was a bit surprised/horrified. I tried to be all cool and calm and reassure him, but it was horrendous!

Nope, still the same here. I thought the poo was bad but nothing compared to the spew-nami that poor DH copped the full brunt of! Wish I'd had my camera, the expression on his face was priceless! :rofl:

lol pppooorrrrrr DH boc! but if it's anything like my DH's face when ashton pooed on him (explosive poo i might add) during our first morning home from the hospy then it would have bee just fabulous! lol. I think my DH nearly cried then hahaha.

Grub I have to complete opposites, Campbell is at the top of the height chart and is the tallest kid in his class. Xavier is only around the 25th percentile for his height. It is funny when I put Campbells old shorts on him, they come down to his ankles. Havent really got to use many of campbells clothes as they are completely different sizes even though they are both summer babies.

I never realised how tall ash was til today... at the playcentre we met a mum with another 15/16 month old and Ashton stood wwwaaayyy over the top of the other boy. It was so obvious he's very long... he has been at the 90 to 100th percentile for height for quiet a few months now but it was interesting to really see it!

We have the same thing, I was asked today "how old is he? 2??" Ummm no he just turned 1 a few weeks ago! And when he was around 8 months I was asked if he was slow cause he wasn't walking, they thought he was about 18mths!

Today ashton climbed to the top of a play equipment thingy (preggy brain lol) all by himself. it was four round metal rungs up to the big slide and they were a fair way apart and he went up about 6 times by himself and put himself down the slide!!! laughing the whole time.

I was so proud! he truly ain't a baby anymore! :(

gotta run. my nanna is arriving this arvo, first time she's meeting Ashton! oxox

Last eye tooth coming through for Tara, so yay no more teething until the 2yr molars hit... I have been noticing though that she is changing in her attachment to me lately, I think she knows something big is gonna happen soon..

By this time next week I should be back to give you all the news of the twins arrival and then I'll be back asking all the questions about what to do with babies...

Me blah, head full of work and relationship crap at 12.30am........... Work is plodding still don't know if i'm doing the right job, (wonder if I ever will) my boss decided to assign some help to help me revamp my program. (she is nuts (the helper) really agro and not my cup of tea. but I"ll hold in there. DF is going back to work in the countrey and won't be home during the week.... :( not really happy but he hasn't worked in a year and he needs it for himself, he can't do mr Dad and neither can I lol

Still having "want another baby" ideas but not shore if it's the right time..

2 MORE SLEEPS and then the fun begins, but I will be so glad once this is over with. THe last few weeks have been very hard on me physically and mentally...

Green, so good to hear from you! Sorry you're having troubles at work. I still haven't gone back which is causing its own problems with DH. He's obviously very happy for me to be home with Finn but money is a little tight and he's getting stressed. He's an economist so its his job to worry about money to an extent but it's driving me nuts and I don't know that I'll be able to stay home as long as I'd like :(

Anyway, hope everyone had a lovely mother's day!! Mine started well, I had a little sleep in and had pressies brought to me in bed, but then DH and Finn got gastro... I don't know who was worse to look after :rofl:

We are home and OMG all my 3 children are in bed asleep, so I'm trying to get some washing done - boys and there ability to pee and poop through everything - and to upload my birth pic's on Facebook.

We have some really graphic pic's of the birth that I didn't put on FB but shal we say that we got a good look inside my tummy... Hopefully I will get some time to jump on and update you with how things are going but so far so good and Tara is showing no signs of being jealous so we are hoping that continues.

that's great news kelly! saw the pics! the boys look great and not tiny tiny as i expected! huge congrats!

we had dh away for another week this week and DS has been a horror to say the least. so glad dh will be home now til bubs arrive! Also having some pre labour symptoms! am 35 weeks so would really rather bub waited at least another fortnight lol. :)
