Am I first to post in new thread?

Azzrenae I agrea on the don't worry about it bit. I know it will all work out, just the fine tuning that will happen in April 2010. OMG that sounds like ages. But I'm sure it'll fly. Cool news about your purchase, DP wants a second hand capsule but I think we'll see the red cross first.

Oh my Kaydee 4x4 dames wow you must like alot of names I only have a first and middle for a boy and a first and a middle for a girl however DP likes the idea of two middle names. well see. Don't want the poor bubs to be traumatised in later years.

DSS is home and it's so nice to have company, last night I spent the whole time not sleeping due to odd noises. I'm so pathetic. lived alone for ages but now I'm used to a family

Greenslw, we struggled with names. Being a teacher there are so many names that remind me of a child I know of... It took us a while to decide on names but we did find the girls names easier than the boys names. DH likes more traditional names than I do but we compromised in the end. Yay for 13 weeks tomorrow!

Azzrenae, I wouldn't worry too much about your size especially carrying twins. My fundus height was listed as full term at our appt last Wednesday. My stomach really is a compact, solid mass. It's the measurements they take at growth scans that I'm interested in... it's amazing that they can give you an idea of the weight of the babies before they're even here. Our last scan at 32 wks showed both babies as just under 2kg each which was exciting. Next scan is end of next week so we're hoping for good weights by then When's your next scan? Might help to put your mind at ease. Exciting news that you have started shopping - bargains too!! When you say you are finding it hard to get comfy, do you mean when sleeping? I find it hard to sit for a length of time (like now at the computer, I'm getting fidgety ) but the stretching pains - front and back - go when I lie on my left side on the floor. Try heat packs, I would be lost without mine. If all else fails, I soak in the bath.

Geez, i hope i'm not going to be a "bleeder" during my pregnancy - it will cause enough worry to make me look 10years older!
Bleeding started again yesterday after lunch, more than last time, and also more clots
Called my lovely naturopath, and she said she would make up some herbs for me (i interupted her weekend, so thats how gr8 she is). Good news is, i have no usual signs of miscarriage - no pain, no cramping or spasms, and no fever. Also called my ivf nurse - from their view, it's just a 'wait and see' situation, so didn't have any BT's.
The herbs i have are to support and tone the uterus, and to stop any bleeding. Obviously, if there is a problem, they won't stop a miscarriage.
So, this morning, the bleeding has nearly stopped, just a little spotting now. Had a good night sleep, no pain - can someone just knock me out for 9 months, and then wake me up when this baby arrives??
Not sure how i'm feeling today (emotionally) i think i'm starting to distance myself from the chance of this pregnancy succeeding, starting to put the armour back around the heart, to protect it from hurting

Hope everyone else is having a better weekend!

think i need to sprinkle some of this around..

Theresep, hope your bleeding settles soon and the herbs help do the trick. Try and relax today. The days drag by when you worry. Sometimes it's hard to stay positive when things seem to be working against us but hopefully this is the last of the bleeding and you'll cruise through the rest of this pregnancy. My fingers and toes are crossed for you.

Theresep - I'm thinking of you. I hope the bleeding stops or that it's all for normal reasons. I know quite a few friends that experienced this and it seems to be common. As for worrying about it, i would be a mess too. I think that we are all so used to things going wrong. Fingers crossed for you anyway. xo

Greenslw - i have the pimples and ingrown hair thing going on too. My doc has said that i can take maxolon for MS if this keeps up but he would like to try and avoid if possible, so i am trying to avoid resorting to that. He said that it's no majical cure anyway?

Kaydee - Thanks, i tried the ginger but suprise, suprise, it makes me vomit! Lol. The blood noses are strange, never ever had them before. I'm finding this whole pregnancy thing quite odd.

Hope everyone is having a lazy Sunday xo

Wavegirl, I'm glad I'm not alone with the ingrown hairs, my bakini line looks like I have chicken pox. Oh well but my zits are clearing up on my face but not on my neck. Weird hormones.

Theresep oh you have the best nat path. Glad you have a good IVF nurse.

Kaydee my mums a primary school teacher and funny that there is a LONG list of boys names I can NEVER EVER use. Not so many girls. I must admit we've gone for more old fashioned names and included some of our parent/granparents middle and frist names when they aren't to scary. My beloved grandma was Gurtude. Not happening Oma I love you but not doing that to my baby if it's a girl.

ATM i'm being the homework monitor, watching DSS like a hawke, it's his personal project right up and I've mad a stack of corrections which he's working on. His grades were so bad last semester I'm determined to get them up. Hopefully he is too.

p.s. wow murph our list is getting huge. So many beautiful pg women

    Hi lovelies,
please let me know if I missed any of your updates. It's getting to be a healthy long list.

Theresep, I hope that seeing your name, last but not least on the list gives you even more hope. Good luck with this anxious time and the bleeding.

Greenslw, good to see things are looking up for you and you are feeling a bit more confident. Sorry I haven't PM'd you yet, I have been a bit run down (just headachy and tired from night work), so having nana naps again too. I know the feeling of the isolation and realisation you have no friends around you, but like KellyD, it has taken probably a year or two to really accept and love the life I have with the sacrifices we have made. I bet you at least have t.v for company. I have Belly Belly I guess you feel you don't have the support of the one who should be supporting you most, and that adds to that feeling of having no one close. You do though. This forum has real live people who care about you, no matter that we don't even know what you look like and we will all follow you through the whole time of your pregnancy. who else but us crazy women in waiting understand the excitement of whether to go two wheels or three I think it's an amazing resource of friendship and support. There's no way to pretty up the ugly subject of financial stress, just work with each other and see each other's fears I guess. YOur years of truck driving sound like my years of DH working in nightclub security. Hateful horrible years and I don't know how we survived! It was all about the money and getting through uni but just a total nightmare. we still can't look at a nightclub strip without being truly thankful those years are behind us and that was 5 years ago! If only we'd discovered nightfilling at Woollies years ago! No drunk and drugged out punters, no crazy life of full time study and full time work. We just didn't put enough thought into our options and persevered. YOu know how it is. I hope you give your options lots of thought.

KellyD, I'm sure your DH won't resent you if he has to commute into Melbourne for work. I hope it won't come to that but for the lifestyle it affords you to have in Ballarat (brrr, cold just thinking of that place) and the cheaper living, it may just be one of those pay offs over all. I hope he gets a bit more security with his job though and he can work closer to home.

Kaydee, congrats on your latest milestone. So close now but yet so far away I suppose. Are you with a private system? It's just that witht he mention of all the scans you have had and will still have, mine stopped at the 19 week growth scan and there are apparently none more scheduled throuugh the whole pg unless there are complications (throught he public system). It feels really strange to be out here just doing it on my own, after all that initial IVF intervention and now all I have really is the GP appointments and the antenatal clinic at my local hospital, oh and of course the signs from Jasmine which are most important.

I'd better get off or I'll be kicked off. That damn Daintree pest is hogging the link again....god someone buy her a t.v!!!

You are all so lovely and supportive - thx for your kind wishes. Today has been ok, just a bit of spotting starting this afternoon, and a feeling like i usually get when AF is on her way. Have had a stern word to my body , telling it to break the usual habits of AF etc, it now has the most important role of it's life - that is, to support this little embryo, and help it grow! Didn't hear anything in response LOL !

Murph, thankyou for adding me to your list, it felt very special to see my name up there. If all goes well, i will be due in March. Will find out my proper due date when i have my 6 week scan

Therese - adding my sticky vibes for you!!
Kaydee you are doing SO well. I will be happy to make it to 35 weeks. I think that's the mental hurdle I have in my head. My twin sisters came at only 30 weeks, and they were so tiny. But at 30 years old now, absolutely fine!
And Murph - wow, our list! How wonderful that there are so many of us.

Hi everyone else - hope you're all well.

I hit third trimester on Tuesday - exciting! Have ob appt tomorrow, so am going to check in my size. Everyone is bigger than me, and I am starting to get paranoid.....

Greenslw, we've ended up with family names for the boy's middle names (if needed) but sadly my Nan's middle name of Gertrude and Mum's middle name of Mildred didn't get a look in either... Funny how names make come backs though, one list I looked on did have Mildred in it's top 100 because people were calling their little girl's Millie. Each to their own...

Murph, we are private this time around and the ob has ordered more scans only because it's twins. They monitor the growth from 26 weeks on to make sure one is not growing bigger than the other. Apparently depending on their placement in the uterus, one twin can be in a more nourishing spot than the other so they do more scans and measurements. We had our 12 wk and 18 wk then 26, 32 and now 36. Lots of chances to see the little ones bopping about. With DD, we were public patients and just had the 12 and 18 wk scans. Once you feel those movements though, you know everything is ok and it keeps you going til the end.

Thanks for the updated EDD list Murph!

Jen, congrats on 3rd trimester! Don't stress about your size... We went on a hospital tour today and my tummy was smaller when compared to some of the other mums carrying single bubs. We're all different and carry our babies differently. Our first PG, I was much bigger than what I was this time round (except by now, she was delivered and I had stopped growing!)

Hi to everyone else. Hope you've had a great weekend.

    Hi Everyone

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend.

Murph: Wow how big is our list getting. Scary to see my name move up though....

Theresep: Hope that the spotting is nothing sinister and that you get to your scan with no more worries.

Greenslw: Hope you are feeling a bit better and that your hormaones have goven you a break for the past couple of days.

Kaydee: You are so good having all your names picked out. We where really struggling with boys names (before we found out the sex) and have about 12 girls names on a list to try and choose from. We have also decided to use a family name as a second name, my mum & grandmother have the same name "Rose" so now just narrowing down her first name although I do have my favourites, just need to convince DH.

AFM: Nothing much to report here, had some more stretching pains on the weekend and still getting kicks and squirming movements. I'm thinking it won't be long until she starts to run out of room though. All booked in for our baby classes, we have chosen to do them over 2 weekends in August instead of 1 night a week for 8 weeks which is just too long, plus don't really like driving at night. 4D scan booked for tomorrow at 12.15pm, so am looking forward to getting a good look at baby and then no more until she arrives.

Sending big belly rubs to all our other girls on our long growing list.

    Hi lovely ladies,

Looking over the EDD I am so excited to be on it, thanks for updating Murph, my EDD is 24.02.09, and can you please add expecting #1 & #2, I have already picked names, am being optimistic and asking God for pink and blue (but won't be disappointed with whatever we get). DH is Greek, the first born son is normally named after the grandfather (DH's father), so if it is a boy it will be Stelios, for a girl we have picked Aria, if it is two of the same we will have to come up with some more names lol.

I have sort of been lying low in this thread since my first post, I must admit I was feeling a bit out of sorts about some of the comments that have been made on BB about ending up with one or two bubs, I sort of felt they were directed at me as they appeared immediately after my first post in the PALTTTC thread announcing twins, and I spent a few nights lying awake thinking about this. As strange as it sounds I was starting to feel almost guilty, which is crazy, and DH has convinced me that I should just feel so thankful and lucky that we have been so blessed. And I felt a bit sad that I had gone out of my way to support, encourage and congratulate others on their BFP, but didn't get the same courtesy in return. I don't mean this to be confrontational but just needed to get this off my chest, as it was really weighing on my mind, and I have been almost too shy to come back in here. In saying that there are so many of you who have offered nothing but support and I am really thankful for that.

KellyD, gosh 26 weeks already, I love the name Rose, and it fits perfectly as a second name to so many others, good luck picking from your 12 names.

Saph, glad to hear you are well but sorry about the MS, I am feeling a bit the same, pretty much 24 hrs nausea but no vomiting yet, I must admit I am hanging out for the 12 week mark hoping that the MS will die down then, I have tried MS tablets with ginger 3 x per day, ginger beer, I am wearing the acupressure wrist bands for nausea, trying to eat frequently, but the endless upset tummy is a real pain. Have fun with your new course.

Kaydee, wow 35 weeks, that is a great achievement, not long to go now. My SIL delivered triplets last week at 35 weeks, and they are perfect and strong and a great size, breathing on their own etc. She did have some problems with high BP though, and they had to perform the C section earlier, I hope you are taking care.

Jenc, congrats on third trimester, GL with your OB appointment today, look forward to hearing how it goes.

Smithy my love, so sorry to hear about the MS but I am with you on just feeling so happy to be here. Go baby Charlee, and yay for double digits!

Hi Murph, glad to see you are tracking along nicely, hope Jazzy is well, are you feeling any more kicks or is she being kind to you? And I hope DH gets his chance to feel the action soon.

Theresep, welcome, sorry to hear you have been having some bleeding, I can imagine how scary that can be, but as everyone has said it is quite common, do you have plenty of progesterone support? Is your 6 week scan this week? All the best, I hope it puts you mind at ease. Sending you lots and lots of positive vibes.

Greenslw, congrats on 13 weeks, I hope you are feeling nice and relaxed and you haven't had any more spotting. It must be such a relief to get to this stage, it seems so far away for me. When my SIL's was married the first time, she had 450 at her wedding, it must be a Greek thing. Not long until you tell your news, very exciting.

Wavegirl, looks there will be a few Feb bubs I am a few days behind you, sorry to hear you are having MS, I know the feeling. Wonderful news that bubs is well and hope time flies until your 12 week scan, I am counting down the days too.

Grub, my brother is in defence also, him and my SIL and niece and nephew are in Darwin, my brother is training to fly the new Tiger helicopters. I know it is a while to go, but I would love to PM you my SIL's details, she is lovely, when you get to Darwin she could meet up with you and introduce you around also and it might be nice to know a friendly face. Let me know if you want her details, are you on Facebook? Perhaps you could touch base there?

Azzrenae, thinking of you and GL with your weekly scans. Great news re getting bargain capsules, that is a great idea. Hoping time flies until your next milestone of 25 weeks.

Kahlan, the biggest congrats on the birth of Lyla, what a beautiful name, glad to hear your birth went well!

LNB, congratulations to you too, Nate is a gorgeous name. So glad you had a great birth experience, makes me excited for my own. Wishing you all the best for the next stage.

MissMagpie, so sorry to hear of the difficulties you have been having, I can't imagine, what a shock that must have been, and double hard with the pressure on finances. I hope you can work something out, I know how hard it must be to contemplate going back to work right away. My DH have been out of work for the past 6 months, and there looks to be minimal opportunities for the future, so I might be doing the same too. Thinking of you, I hope you are getting through this ok.

MHB, 4 weeks full time work at 33 weeks, I hope you will be ok with that, I guess it is good to get it over with but make sure you take care of yourself. I really admire you for sticking with your studies whilst being UTD, it will all be worth it in the end.

TwoMums, congrats to you and Kim on your 19 week scan, and to your little boy, sounds lovely, glad to hear all is going well.

Hi to everyone else, sorry for the super long post, just trying to catch up. xx

BDT: Your post made me feel so sad for you with the "Negative Comments" about your pregnancy. After all that you have been though, you need support to help you now through the trying time that pregnancy can be and I for one am so happy to see you here and with your two much longed for bundles of love. I have my fingers crossed for you that you have one of both on board - although based on the track record recently you could have two blue bundles - although I know that whatever you get, they will be much loved and cherished.
