Hi everyone, thanks for welcoming me back, I seriously didn't want to make a big deal about it, just wanted to get it off my chest, and the comments weren't made in this particular thread, you have all been totally lovely and I didn't want to make any of you feel bad. In fact the comments weren't made 'directly' to me at all, I could just see that my announcement had triggered something, hence me feeling it was directly a result of me posting about having twins. I don't mean to discount the feelings of others or the pain they may experience and their right to post about it, just wanted to acknowledge that those posts subsequently effected me. So I will shut up about it now and enjoy myself from here on in .

Welcome sammiejam, Bec and Babydreams, so glad you can join us.
    Hi to everyone else, xx

Thanks for the welcomes girls - obviously I am being very cautious still and have to now wait for the 7 week scan to make sure everything is viable. I first got a blood test last Tuesday but it was very low (and only 9 days post) but had one yesterday and it was around the 450 mark too, so hopefully everything will be OK.

It is true it is all about waiting! The 2WW and then now once you get positive, have to wait until 7 weeks, then I guess the 13 week mark. Can send you insane and I have only just begun!

Hi Sammiejam, just a quick one re your hcg levels, have a look at The BetaBase, you can look at your dpo and compare to the averages for both singletons and twins, this might give you a better idea, wishing you all the best and congrats again xx

Welcome sammiejam, becc and babydreams! Congratulations and here's to happy and healthy pregs.

Grub - good luck with your scan!! Will you be telling us what flavour you have on board?

Kaydee & Grub - you are so right. I will just hold my head up and walk away. Kaydee - how are you travelling??? I keep looking to you for some sort of indication about how it's all going to pan out closer to the end!!

Saph - hope you're MS eases up. I remember those days all too graphically well unfortunately. The only thing that kept me going was thinking it was all for a good reason!

Azz, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

And a big hello to all you other lovely ladies.

AFM - hit third trimester today - yay!

    Hi Everyone

A Big Welcome to 31becc, Babydreams & Sammiejam. It is so nice to see lots of newbies joining our every expanding mummt to be club. I hope you all have a H & H next 8 months and trust me the TWW is the easy part compared to all the waiting you now do for your milestone dates to arrive. As one of the other girls has said before, the worry now starts that we will have for the rest of our lives about our precious children to be.

Sammiejam: I think the HCG levels can be pretty much all over the place. I had 2 day 3 embryo's transferred and at my BFP my HCG was 350 (I started getting + POAS 6 days post transfer) so thought both had stuck. At 7 week scan it was confirmed that we had just 1 on board, but to me it was a pretty sticky one and touch wood I have had no troubles or complications this pregnancy at all.

To all my other girls, I'm thinking of you all and grub can't wait to find out if you are blue or pink.

AFM: Had 4d scan done today..... WOW it was so amazing..... Went for about 45 minutes and have a DVD of the whole thing and lots of 3D photo's printed as well. They confirmed 100% that it is definately a pink bundle as well, which is good seeing all the pink things I have already purchased. You could see so much detail of her face, she already has chubby cheeks and a little button nose. Although she loves having her hands up around her face either in fists or all stretched out showing off her long fingers. It was so funny though as she was sort of bent in half with her legs stretched up over her head, so she is obviously very flexible. DH loved it, just to get a chance to see his little girl. I think there is reality now that she is a little person. If I can work out how, I'll try and post some of the pictures for you all to see.

kelly d thanks for sharing that post! i'm sitting here grinning like an idiot.
how special for you both and super exciting!!!!

and jen, my wordy yes, I'll be screaming it at you lot! lol.

BDT - i'm relieved that it wasn't something here that upset. but like you say, lets leave it all there ox

and yes newbies (lol) the fun has only begun. I counted down to first BT for BFP, then second test, then 7week scan, then 12 week scan, now it's the 20 week scan lol. By friday i'll be counting down til my 3rd trimeste, then my 34th week when i finish work. DH is going away oct/nov, so will be countng down for when he gets home,,, and then the few weeks for bubs to arrive... at least i'll be able to teach "it'' how to count lol.

afm i'm just feeling so exhausted all the time that it's getting really difficult. i dread waking up cos i'll be tired and by mid arvo i'm a zombie at work. it's killing me and is as bad as the 1st trimester tiredness. i don't even have the energy to exercise

hey, anyone taking any extra precautions with this swine flu thing??? I'm avoiding the shopping centres and only go from work to home. DH is out doing the shopping now. but that's it. It's school hols here so i'd rather stay away anyway. I have a mask (couresty of a friend) but not using it at all.

    It's pretty scary stuff.

anyhoo. DH just got home with the food.... must go eat

Oh Theresep I am so sorry. I had a MC at 5 weeks last time, it sis so heart breaking. Please keep in touch.

Grub I'm in the same tired place. Swine flu, well my company has a policy because we house young mums and pregnant women (high risk). But mainly lots of washing hands and keeping at a good distance from anyone looking sick. Not much else we can do. Bit scary.

Kaydee I totally think safety in numbers, my exec is a big lady I'll hide behind her.

BabyDreamtime and other twins mums can I ask a question? I want to know do you look more pg in the beginning with twins? One of my friends looks so pg at only 3 months. Doesn't know one or two yet.

31Becc all the waiting is nuts. But I'm sure it's worth it.

KellyD how exciting I want one. But I"m wondering if you can fuzz out the pink/blue bit. I really want a surprise (secretly hoping for pink). I might have to ask my OB. What a wonderful momento.

I survived a mega meeting with VIP's thank goodness, my boss the emotional one is sick and was NO help so I ran the show and did a great job, even if I do say so myself. There was onlly suposed to be 14 people but 22 arrived. I slightly paniced and managed to squeeze them in. And it was pretty cool to pull off. I was awake at 4.25am and didn't sleep so now I'm slightly light headed and ditsy.

hi ladies ive been lurking but not posting as i cant really keep up with the thread at the moment!

first of all welcome to all the newbies!

kaydee - i had protein in my wee last appointment too and they took it to pathology and all was fine, apparently its ok to have a small amount.

BDT - i LOVE it when i see IVF'ers fall preg with twins, such irony that some couples have so much trouble TTC then come away with double trouble! im so happy for you!

AFM - i had my biophysical profile done today on the bub and i cannot believe the size of him! he already weighs... wait for it.... 2.5 kilos!!! and measures 34 weeks 1 day and just scraped in under the max threshold for sizing before they talk inductions for 38 weeks or start to get worried. they said he still has approx 2 kilos to put oni in the last 7 weeks! according to the sizing i concieved while i had my period! i dont think so! Now i know why i cant breathe anymore! they said its just genetics, he is in a good position but very squished, im so surprised as i dont look very pregnant compared to the other women ive seen who are only 25 weeks or so, im not complaining though. So all is well with us and will get bloods done at 36 weeks ( MY 36 weeks )for liver function and so on and they said if all is well they will let me go the full 40 weeks. although i have a feeling he may come sooner rather than later. i cant wait til he drops down im so uncomfortable!

hi all.... had our 20 week scan today.. and the big news is...

    IT'S A BOY!!!!

so no real surprise there as i had guessed that. but i do like being right

there was a small issue with the umbilical artery, or lack thereof. there should be 2 and he only has 1. it's not major but i have to go back for more scans at 32wks to ensure growth is happening properly. We have no other indicators to be worried about and the doc certainly didn't seem overly concered.

spent the arvo buying baby boy outftis... heeheheheheheheh

sorry no persies. pretty tired and still ahve to do dinner.

being a queenslander i never thought i'd be a blues supporter lol.sorry to not contribute any pink!!! oxoxox
