Hi Lani nd welcome to our group. You are so far along that you have now jumped the queue from some of our other girls in here. Wewlcome and I will enjoy sharing the second half of your pregnancy with you.

Theresep: So sorry about your loss, a lot of the girls in here have also suffered the same as you (including me with 2 previous m/c) and we all know how you are feeling. Hopefully you will have some time to absorb all that has happened and if you are able to take the positive out of it that you can get pregnant and hopefully you will be back here in October with some more good news.

Murph: The 4D scans are not part of the usual scan process. Not all places do them as yet, so check with the current place that you get your ultrasounds done and hopefully they do them for you. All I needed to provided was a referral from my OB and pay the cost of the scan up front ($190 at my ultrasound clinic), you don't get any rebate back from Medicare as the scan is not classified as "diagnostic" it is just something extra offered for parents wanting something a bit extra. They recommend the best time to have the scans is between 26-32 weeks but supposedly getting done closer to 26 weeks is better while there is still a bit of room in there and the baby is not all squashed up. They also rely on the amniotic fluid around the baby to get the pictures (no full bladder required...yay) so if the baby doesn't have much room and the amniotic fluid has started to drop you don't get as good pictures. I am so happy that we got the scan done and DH & I sat up last night and watched the DVD to see our little girl again, it was great as you miss so much when you are getting the scan done that it is nice to be able to view it again in your own time.

Greenslw: In regards to the 4D scan and the blue/pink bits. I asked the sonographer to check the sex for me and she did this in normal 2d ultrasound not in the 3d version and to be honest I have no idea what she was looking at. She did ask in the beginning if we already knew the sex but it seems that they focus the scan mainly on the face area anyway to make sure that you don't see something if you don't want to.

Smithy: Poor you and your m/s. Hopefully as baby Charlee gets bigger the m/s will start to die down for you and you can feel more normal.

    Hi to everyone else.

Getting 28 week bloods done tomorrow. I know a week early but this will ensure the results are back before my ob appt next week. I am just having my Gestational Diabetes test via blood test (thank god, I didn't really want to go through the sweet drink stuff) and I think if the blood result come back high then I will have to do the full test. Seems like ages since I've been needle stuck.... Strange when you think how many times we have blood taken during this whole process.

Kelly, I thought the same thing about having bloods taken today. I sat and watched as the nurse wrote details on the vials of blood thinking how this time last year it was such a common occurance to be checking name, DOB and id details at the clinic. Something you don't miss that's for sure.

Welcome Lani. Best wishes for the remainder of your pregnancy.

Murph, you're getting the "not showing" comments... I'm getting the opposite. Today at the shops a little boy looked at me and said in a really loud voice "Look at that Mummy. Her tummy is so fat and big!" You can't help but laugh - Kids just say whatever comes into their minds! It won't be long and you'll pop out. It took me a while with DD to "pop". Love your little girl's middle name.

Hi to all. Hope you're growing well.

AFM, re-test of urine today showed only traces of protein so nurse was much happier with that. Still had to have BTs done to rule out pre-eclampsia. Other than that, getting huge. People tend to look at my stomach first then raise their eyes up to meet mine.. Looking forward to growth scans on Friday to check on their sizes.

Hi Ladies just a quick up date for me Twins look fine but they are abit worried still about the fluid levels so have to see a specialist on friday to see what my options are we might not have to do anything but they think it is twin to twin transfusion syndrome which can be dangerous for identical twins 1 option is to drain a bit of fluid from the big babies sac as he has quite alot and hope that it may correct it self but can't really say till Friday but I will keep you in the loop.

Welcome new mummies Sammiejam, Babydreams, 31becc and Laniwantsababy hope I got you all.

Theresep so sorry to here your news my DH and I were talking about you a couple of days and now I have to tell him your sad news. Thats great your getting back on the horse so to speak please keep popping in letting us know how you go.

oooooh smithy I can only imagine what that would feel like (sucky) hope it goes away soon.

Babydreams, wow you have an interesting conversation to have with your boss. No I have a meeting with big boss next Thursday, But still thinking of telling boss first. Don't want her to feel like I'm going above her. even if she's scary.

Kaydee glad all was well. I'm sure your face is important too. Goodluck Friday

    Welcome Laniwantababy

Murph all night disco and you can't even have a champagne! must be nice to know Jazzy's ok without a scan though.

Becc I think it's just the middle that is full of waiting. by your third trimester it's 3 then two weeks, can't wait. But I"m glad for not BT weekly.

Smithy, those drinks really helped when I had gastro couldn't stand water. hope it's helping you.

KellyD thanks for the info I"m calling for sure. Also good to know you can forgo the sweet drink. I'm learing so much.

Well update, my assistant KNOWS!!! Could have something to do with the pickle and olive lunch I had yesterday (guess I have cravings) she asked in an inocent voice "are you pregnant" not expecting the huge smile on my face. So it's out a bit, I need to see my boss soon. I do trust her but this just makes me relise it's time.

    Have a great day all.

    GrubCongratulations on

KellyD wow only 10 weeks that does sound quick, Glad your tests went off ok. Still don't like the sound of the sweet stuff though.

Oh MHB not long to go, I have those lingering feers too, sending you lots of healthy possitive vibes. p.s. my mum's name is Lydia I love that name

Becc well done on your milestone

Babydreams thanks for your goodluck I know I"ll need it. Maybe Tuesday.

JenC glad all is fine with glocose. Goodluck for wednesday.

BabyDreaming I think matching ticker would be nice, I'm a very visual person. I put on 600g in 5 weeks but that's ok, just keep an eye on it. Hard to be healthy when you've got ms. I'm almost in tripple digits. OMG. Oh well not the time to panic. It was my friends second bubs so maybe that's it.

Laniwantsababy, I do feel better but alot of pressure to tell my boss before my assistants gussing gives it away. She's a natural mother and would have had 10 if not for women's issues (she has three though)

ATM: off to work, Bummer, I really will slow down next term only one extra day. Trying to curb my carbs as ms is leaving me which is hard but I'm going to take the challange as I don't want to be much heavier than I am. Helped DSS with his homework till 11pm last night, I hope the teacher doesn't realise it's me doing the work (well the tidying up) He really needed another point of view got a D for something he really should have passed last term and his confidence is low.

    Good afternoon girls,

Sorry I havent posted in awhile, have just been lurking and reading up on everyones progress

A BIG hello and WELCOME to 31Bec, Babydreams, Sammiejam and Laniwants a baby! Great to see so many new faces in here. Hope you enjoy the thread

Theresep - Im so sorry to hear of your loss You have such a positive attitude. Hope to see you back in here soon. Take care.

Jen - Congrats on reaching your 3rd trimester!!!! Your on the home straight now

CONGRATS to Grub and Twomums on your BLUE bundles. Im caught in the middle now between both your blue bundles and Murph and Kelly's pink bundles!!!

Kelly - How EXCITING hearing about your 4D scan, it must of been amazing seeing your little girls face. Thats not good that you fainted during you GD test. I had to have one earlier on in my pregnancy and they too had trouble getting blood. Hope the results come back favourably.

Murph - LOVE your description of Jazzy's "all night disco" hehe Not good that she's keeping you awake at night. Im struggling already with having to get up to go to the loo and getting comfy let alone a "disco" inside, lol

Kaydee - glad your re-test was all fine.

BDT and Smithy - hope your MS have settled down for you. Its not a very nice feeling. I only vomited once luckily but I felt nauseous alot which isnt very pleasant. Take care

Azzrenae - thinking of you and hope all goes well today.

Greenslw - you do really need to slow down! Take care.

    to everyone else

AFM, I have FINALLY started feeling some movement, not much and not all the time but definately SOMETHING I just hope bubs doesnt decide to keep me awake at night! Im struggling in the mornings getting up for work as it is, lol I hit the Target Toy sale yesterday too and have some pressies for bubs for Christmas. My future SIL and MIL went shopping too as did my mum so am sure bubs is going to be VERY spoilt!

    Have a great weekend all.

    Take care,

    Tania

Just time for a quickie, I've just been reading all your posts...wow so many. It's great!

Congrats Grub on your little boy. I really felt the bonding begin instantly when we knew what we were having. I know people like the surprise element too but this way it's like you are half way there getting to know your little guy from now til you meet him. fantastic for you.

MissMagpie, I have news for you and it's all pink! Lol. I accidentally put your details in the EDD that you were having a girl and now I think it's an omen. I removed it but thought you would like the slip up. I know you are wanting a boy so hope it goes your way, but I think it's time for a bit more of a feminine touch.

Oh...just quickly, my gorgeous nappies arrived in the mail today...so cute tots bots bamboozle fitted nappies. Soooo soft and lovely. They're not the bees knees at keeping everything in and still need covers but I just love natural fibres and don't mind a few soggy bums around the home. We'll use other types like pea pods and others as well but I love the old style terry towel and these are an updated version.

    Back later. xoxox

BEC31: I can't wait for my scan either but my clinic has me down for 8 1/2 weeks!! I just want to see that heartbeat. May call and see if they've had any cancellations and try to get in during week 7.

Hi to everyone else, have to go and make dinner as DH cooked last night and it's my turn tonight. Wishing you all a great weekend.

Thank you for all the welcome wishes. It made me feel great.

Smithy have you tried Acupuncture for the MS? I have been told it works great. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Murph- Let's hope Jazzy gets her all night disco's out now and so she doesn't have any when she arrives into the world.

Bec- The waiting does get better. I was always so anxious during the 2ww, and then the 12weeks seemed like forever. Hope it goes quickly for you.

azzrenae- Hope all is ok with the twinnies and everything goes good at the appt tomorrow, for you.

Greenslw- I also told a girl very early cause I wasn't feeling well and she was questioning me and she said you aren't pregnant are you, and the look on my face must have said it all too. It makes you feel better when someone knows.

Kaydee- Hope all goes well with your BT for good news.

KellyD- Good luck with your bloods too. I hope I only have the Blood Sugar via blood test I am not looking forward to that drink I had it before I started IVF and it was horrible.

theresep- Sorry for your sad news, my thoughts are with you.

Sorry if I have missed anyone.

    to all

    Hi everyone,
Lani, a big welcome from me too, I remember seeing your posts before, glad you have joined us in here and congrats on being 19 weeks already. Seems so far away for me, and so many milestones to get over.

Greenslw, yay, your news is out, have fun telling everyone. I must admit everyone at my work knew from the get go, they had seen me go through so many IVF cycles, I couldn't help but share, and it was nice to have the support. You also asked about showing with twins, I am 9 weeks and no sign of a baby belly (though there is plenty of 'pizza belly' there ). There is a slide show for twin gestation on another site I have found, and at the 12 week mark, there is little to no baby bump. Is this your friends first baby? I think second time around you show much quicker as the muscles have been stretched.

Azzrenae, wishing you all the best for Friday, I hope it corrects itself and you don't need any intervention. Thinking of you.

Kaydee, good news re little traces of protein, take care of yourself and fingers crossed all is fine re your BTs. GL for Friday!

KellyD, your 4D scans sounds wonderful, I am really keen to do this evenutally myself. GL to you too for your BTs this week.

Smithy, poor sweet thing, bring on 12 weeks and hope your MS settles down. I am constantly nauseous but not vomiting. I have heard acupunture is good to, but I have totally maxed out my HCF rebate for acupunture this year already, and just can't afford the $ at the moment.

Bec, thinking about swin flu too, I am travelling to Darwin and Canberra in August, and must admit I am thinking of using a mask on the plane, I would rather be safe than sorry and don't care if I look like a bit of a dag. GL with your coming 6.5 week scan, how exciting.

Murph, Jazzy Lu is gorgeous . I too am keen to get to the stage where I can where tighter clothes and it is obvious I am pregnant, my belly definately has a bit of a pouch, but it is all fat, I can feel my abs underneath still flat. So I am kind of in limbo, I am so excited, I just want it to be obvious if that makes sense. Ahh, a while to wait yet.

Saph, I missed you in my last post, I am guilty of really long posts, and have set a limit on how many pages I am allowed to go back lol. Glad to hear you are well, and look forward to hearing you news as you get to your 12 week scan, I'm right behind you sister!

Grub, sorry to hear you are so tired, I must admit I am really hoping that the 2nd trimester is so much better, I hope you feel better soon.

Babydreams, hi to you and welcome again.

Theresep, so sorry to hear you news, wishing you all the best and hope for success for you for your next cycle.

Jen, congrats on third trimester. I guess no matter what size you are you need a thick skin when pregnant, funny how everyone feels free to comment. I got told by a work friend yesterday that she would really see the weight gain in my face I have put on all of 2kgs since I started stims 9 weeks ago.

Hi to everyone I have missed, I am limiting myself on the length of my posts.

I am tracking along ok, still struggling with the MS, I must admit it is pretty bad, and as I am not vomiting, there is no real relief, I am so happy to be UTD but this is making it hard to feel good. The only time I don't feel sick is when I am eating, as soon as I stop, it comes back, now I am worried about weight gain lol. I had always found I added a kg or two when doing a stim cycle, then would get rid of it in the break cycle, but obviously this time there was no break , it is still there .

I am slowly weaning myself of the prednisone now, and hope to be off completly by 12 weeks. My OB has said he wants me to stay on daily injections of Clexane until 34 weeks at least, which I am happy about, better to be safe, but my belly is looking a little battered and bruised. I have done no exercise at all but am thinking about going with a friend to the public pool to swim. Might need to get myself a spray tan and a tankini, though she has reminded me it is 'COUNCIL BABY, nobody cares .

Love and best wishes to you all xx

PS. this is totally random and a little silly, but I am thinking of changing my ticker so the colours match my avy, any thoughts lol?

    Hi ladies

Theresp - I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I hope we'll see you in here again soon.

Welcome Lani. You sound very blissfully content

Kaydee - how did your test go? Fingers crossed for you there's no pre-ecl.

Murph - Jazzy sounds very cute indeed. Not so much for you I suppose - kind of what to be asleep generally at 2am. But it's still so miraculous isn't it.

KellyD -scan sounds amazing! I'm glad you could experience something so special.

Hi to all you other lovelies too.

I got my glucose and blood results back and all good. Glucose tolerance is fine, antibodies are fine, and iron is ever so slightly low, but nothing to worry about. Yay!

I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but the glucose drink was really not that bad! It wasn't orange flavoured - it was just like lemonade that's gone a bit flat. It wasn't even that much sweeter than normal lemonade (maybe I just have a sweet tooth.!!)

Have 28 wk growth and well-being scan next Wed, and can't wait. I just love seeing them squirm around up there on the screen. We always get suckered in to buying the 4D video. Can't help myself *blush*.
