Well physio today was lets say interesting. The good news is I dont have round ligament pain. Bad news it is worse it is actually pubic girdle pain (pubis symphysis). She proded and pocked around on my pubis bone and I nearly umped off the bed. She said my pain was to servere for round ligament pain. I was given a whole list of things not to do (yeah no house work for me) and tomorrow I am off to be fitted with a lovely brace. If this doesn't get better i may not be able to have a natural birth. I a trying to avoid a CS. We can not afford for DH to stay home with me for six weeks. He is self employed with 10 employees. If he doesnt work thats 11 people who dont get paid. well hopefully no one else suffers this pain.
I've hit 50 days and counting. Hopefully they will be a fast 50 days.
Murph: So sorry about your Nan, at least you know that Jazzy will have a special guardian angel looking over her.
Jen: Good luck tomorrow and if your boys do have to come on Saturday it will be a very special Fathers Day for your DH.
Greenslw: on the scan results. I wouldn't worry about the couple of days diffence in your due date as based on a quick scan my Dr did a couple of weeks ago bubs was measuring just over a week bigger than our dates. I think they are happy with a variance of 2 weeks either way.
Miss M: Wow what a biggen you must be carrying or maybe you just have one that likes to stretch out and is making some extra room now for when the real growth spurt happens.
Saph: So sorry to hear about your condition. I'm having a c/s and my DH is only able to get 2 weeks off work. We have decided that seeing I will be in hossy for about 5 days, he is going to take 2 weeks off when I come home. My IL will be here the week I'm in hossy and the following week and then my parents (who will be in Perth house sitting for my sister - but that's another story) will then be home when my IL's leave so they will drop by every couple of days or so to help. But I'm hoping by the time DH goes back to work that I will be much more mobile. Although I don't have a toddler like you to also look after.
Everyone else I hope you are all doing well and am waiting patiently to hear how things have gone with Mels & MHB.
Is anyone else in here NOT receiving any update emails? None at all? I'm just checking in here daily just in case cause I'm getting nothing, despite signing in every time I view.
Hope you are all going well.
KellyD: Congrats on 50 days! I bet you it's a lot easier to imagine the finish line now!
Saph: Sorry to hear about your condition. Here's hoping it doesn't get too bad and you get your natural birth.
Grenslw: Don't worry about it, my FS tried to tell me at my 7 week scan that I was only 6wks, but mine was very clinical and documented IVF and there's no way the dates could be mistaken. I just go with the fact that my Cookie is "petite" (although my already-visible belly certainly isnt!) Good luck with the chat. Hope they settle down. you don't need the stress. Maybe threaten them if they keep it up they'll cause you to go into a preggy "meltdown". That's enough to strike fear into anyone
Jen: Oh yes! What a terriffic Fathers Day gift for DH! I wish you a quick & smooth delivery (well as much as birth can be!)
Hi to everyone else!
So has anyone heard anything from the two Ms? Hoping no news is good news.
AFM: Nothing much to report. 9 weeks today, YAY!!! Had a shocking night, awake all night with really bad hayfever & allergies, feel like I'm drowning it's driving me nuts! And it's only the 3rd day of spring! On the up though, still not much MS so I think I've probably skipped it. Sorry Smithy, I think you copped my lot too by mistake! Did some more shopping yesterday (oops) and got the cutest tee from Big W, it says "Shopping for Two" which is hilarious seeing as even before I was pg I was shopping for 3 or 4 or 5
Also I think we've settled on our names. We decided DH would choose the boy's name and I have had my heart set on a girls' name for a long time now Mahli Rose for a girl (which we think it is) or Jaggar Brock for a boy. (Sorry if I'm stealing your thunder Mahli09 )
Anyway hope you're all having a good Thursday and will catch up with you again soon!
BOC, those are beautiful names, and big congratulations on 9 weeks Yay! Have you checked all the right boxes in your user profile so that you receive notification? I ended up unticking mine as I was subscribed to so many threads and getting email notification, which I had to look at on BB, I was getting no work done at all
KellyD, congrats on 50 days, woo hoo, not long to go now, that will fly by. Glad you will have plenty of help from your relatives once bubs arrives.
Saph, so sorry to hear it is worse than you thought, I hope the brace will do the trick. I am hoping to avoid a CS too. Hope you are taking care.
Greenslw, sorry about your work troubles, you so should not have to put up with attitude like that. I agree, sometimes it is the girls that can be the hardest to work with. So glad your scan went well.
MissMapgie, yay for no GD, but bugger for high blood pressure. And don't worry about your size, everyone keeps telling me that we are all different, it is the baby's health that is important.
Jenc, GL with your growth scan on Friday, I hope all is well, you have done such a great job to get them this far, and at 34 weeks they will be fine. Hope T2's growth has improved. Thinking of you.
Hi again to everyone.
I am going great, I feel like I have finally hit the 2nd trimester, more energy, litterally no ms, I have even started doing some exercise and am convincing myself I might just be able to make it to pregnancy yoga on Sat morning at 8.00 am.
I do have a question, am sorry if its TMI , but I have been having some vaginal discharge, have been wearing panty liners and changing a couple of times a day, but I am a little bit worried it is too much, and it is sort of creamy yellow. Is this normal? I am worried about getting thrush, with the hot weather coming up and it always being damp down there.
Other than that I am eagerly awaiting my scan on Tue to check gender, really excited, just can't wait to start buying pink or blue.
Love to all xx

I've been lurking a bit just seeing what everyone else is going through, so first - a huge good luck to everyone who is imminent! I'm just trying to work out who everyone is, so hopefully I'll get into personals as I go along and don't offend anyone...
I'm very nervously coming in here as I'm still early on and, to be honest, a bit paranoid it's all going to go wrong... I've no personal experience of that, just that it has happened to a few people I know.
But... I just read BOC's post and had to respond because I think your baby is mine's twin! I'm nine weeks today as well! I haven't really suffered any m/s either, just once (at night!) and a general quesyness is all.
I've got a second scan tomorrow just to make sure it's all going okay, but I'll probably keep a bit of a low profile until the 12 week mark (only three weeks to go )
Firstly, Redidris - hello and welcome Drop in anytime you feel like it. It is stressful during the first trimester. There are lots of us in here happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck with your scan tomorrow.
BIG welcome also to lilmiss and Bridget
Murph - sorry to hear about your nana Hope to see you back in here soon. Take care.
BDT - Im a little worried about the size as a g/f told me the size should be around the same as the weeks you are and considering Im nearly 29 weeks and am measuring 35cms so it seems to be MUCH larger. As for discharge, Ive been wearing a panty liner during my whole pg as things seem to be "different" down there IYKWIM! So I think its quite normal. you dont get thrush.
Saph - sorry to hear your in so much pain and now need to wear a brace. Take care.
BOC - congrats on 9 weeks! And wow you've already settled on names, well done! My DP and I need to get our butts into gear as we havent as yet!!!
Greenslw - How exciting that you heard the bubs heartbeat, its truly amazing. What a bugger about your work. You'd think grown women would know better! Yes here's hoping to our placenta rising! Oh and Aquarians are GREAT too, hehehe Both Kelly and I are one
Kelly - 50 days and counting...woo hoo!
Jen - thinking of you. Hope all goes well tomorrow and bubs are ok.
to everyone else.
AFM, have been taking my blood pressure tablets and am they are working. I dont want to get pre-clampsia. Have heard you can end up in hospital, not good. My future SIL and BIL have been stressing me out which isnt doing my stress levels any favours I seem to be so short fused lately
hi miss tania, i'm throwing soome in there for you also avoiding pre clampsia as well. is there anything you can do to avoid it? apart from the tabs?? and what is it with people this week??? i've had one of my staffers at work be quite rude to me and am really just over it. bbrrhhh hope your in laws start to behave!
And try not to worry what other people say re size of bubba. can you ask your ob? you do hear all the time that women are told their baby is 'huge' only to have a normal-sized bubba. try not to stress too much about it... there isn't a lot you can do about it anyway plus i'm sure your baby is just the right size for your body and you look gorgeous ox
hi redidris! wow, i think you've done well to stalk us quietly til now! lol. I couldn't help myself... i was on about 5weeks. But we all completely and utterly understand your fears. I don't think there isn't a lady here who hasn't been a ball of stress during the first trimester. But rest assured lady, there's other things to stress about in the 2nd tri and beyond lol.
BDT - oh that's most excellent about feeling better! and go the pilates! i do sat morn class a 8.30am but gotta leave home by 7.50am. i feel tired at first but really really enjoy the class and being with the other preggy ladies. and the discharge - that's pretty normal me thinks but if it smells awful then mention it to the doc. that's my gauge anyway. but there's bloody lots of it... oh gee what a lovely summer we are all going to have!
hi boc - hope those allergies settle grettle and names, already! you are on fire lady. can you do our name too plse lol. we have had a flirt with names but haven't actually had a serious think yet... and dh goes away in a month so we'd better pull our finger out. I have a terrible feeling our little boy will be known as Baby Grub for his first 6mths. lol. Oh and i lurve the little slogan shirt you got! buying baby stuff is truly addictive! it's become my new hobby ... and today is pay day..... hmmmm
kelly - 50 days!!! woot woot!!! i'm pretty sure they'll fly by for you lady.do take extra good care of yourself tho... and enjoy your last remants of peace and quiet heehee.
oh saph - taht's no good about the brace and uncertaintity. hope you aren't in too much pain. ox
greenslw - squeak! i likey i mentioned to miss tania the trouble i'm having at work too. where do people get off??? bbrrhh you are paid to do a job and do it professionally... this isn't the schoolyard or your loungeroom people - pull your head in! hey, do you want me to talk to your swearing friend! and who swears and makes things even harder for a prego lady bbrrrhhh.... that's it ... give me her number lol. ox hope it goes well and your cool head prevails.
jen - HELLO!!!! is it happening today/?????? ooohhh i'm super excited !!!! take care of you love.
thinking of you Murph. Hope you are taking care of yourself as i'm sure you are running around taking care of everyone else oxxo
any news from Mels??? did i miss something or she going nuts still waiting???
MHB - how are you going chickydee????
WTH - Hi sweet! what is happening with you these days???
neptune - how did hubby go with the house? hope it's all going well. oxox
HI Azz - what is happening with you at the moment? keeping well and healthy I hope love.
2Mums - i think you said you'd been moving house??? (could be wrong have bad baby brain) all settled now??
Sammiejam - i hope things are okay for you love. big hugs and love being ''vibed'' to you right now. oxox
Hi to Bella and Smithy as well.
I know i've missed a few people, please forgive me ladies. think of you all and am always wondering how everyone is trundling so stay in touch. Even if it's just a purely ME post
Hi ladies, just a quick post from me. My internet is down and so I'm trying to achieve this from my blackberry!
Sending love to MHB and hope her delivery went well on Monday.
AFM, I'm stiiiiilllll waiting! I had another "sweep" yesterday (awful thing) and praying it sets me off soon. Otherwise I'll be induced next Tuesday - which I'm really trying to avoid. Well back to the walking, chilli and raspberry leaf tea...!
Love to all
Mels xx
I haven't even said hello or welcomed Bridget or Lilmisshavachat (where are my manners) and now we have Rediris on board Congratulations on your pregnancies and I hope you find heaps of support, advice and even a bit of fun as the nerves settle and you begin to believe this really is happening!!
Thanks for all your well wishes but I was silly to mention the Nana thing. In the end I wasn't close to my Nana, she had systematically disowned all of her grandchildren (bar one) over the past 16 years, which started precisely when my older brother had his first baby. I don't have a clue where our Nana went but we all had to grieve losing her from our lives and hearts back then and it really was so heartbreaking. We tried to understand, sent letters and photos, wedding invitations, (all were returned unopened) We were the closest family, her house was the original one my Dad and his sisters were raised in in Melbourne, so all those lovely 50's memories of toys and books and just the cosy loving family home, big yard, chooks and lots of fun. Absolutely don't have a clue to this day what happened in that old girl's head but stubborn til the end, she never met a single one of her grandchildren's children, and in the later years she even cut one of her daughters off and had all her possessions delivered to her house without a word. the other daughter is a psychopath so I don't know what kind of hold she may have had on her. I would never believe it could happen to such a close and loving family. what I was dealing with when she died, and none of you need reply, is the fact that my Dad never went into bat for any of us, never changed his relationship with his Mum and stayed the doting son til the end, despite the fact that he wasnt' to talk about any of us who she had disowned. There is a hell of a long story and we all have them but I guess I didnt' want you to waste lovely thoughts on this bitter old battle axe and Kelly, I have to say, as kind as your words were, well I guess you get the picture, I really don't think she will be the guardian angel, but it did give me a giggle. Sorry, inappropriate I know.
Jenc - how is the verdict today? I was hoping you could hold off but then got a bit excited for the whole father's day thing too so whatever happens, I just hope you are feeling prepared and okay with the decision. Sending you lots and lots of all the best thoughts and ahhh, we will miss having you to talk to and tell us about your thrills and spills. I think you would have won the award for most spectacular falls..I was particularly fond of the "turtle" with the backpack!!!
Mels and MHB, you sure have got us in suspenders! I hope all is well with you both and can't wait to hear from you.
Neptune, so glad to hear that things started to improve and your clean-up went ahead. I saw someone give you some tough love advice and I have to say I cringed and was really happy that you were able to support him through something so difficult. Good luck with your continuing challenges and I hope you celebrate the little steps like this
Just mentioning a few persies today, I've been crook for the last little while,my back is cactus and indigestion an absolute biatch, causing my back problems from having to do the sitting up sleep thing. this is the first week I have felt grumpy and irritable to the point where yep, it happens to us all, arghhh, I am feeling over it! to end on a good note though, I had the nicest possible comment re my small size. "Oh my god, your body must have been made for making babies, you're so small, that's awesome". Yay...I'll take that thankyou! I've still only managed to put on 4 kilos the whole pg but I'm sure Jazzy is being the perfect parasite as I'm not dieting or eating extra healthy or even exercising and I'm losing weight of my thighs...woohoo! Now I'll give birth to a ten pounder!
Oh Saph for you and hope you are feeling a bit more comfort and can avoid the c/s
Saph Gentle no house work is great but that sounded so painful, I hope things do settle for you.
Kelly yayay for only <50days wow so close now.
BOC I like the idea of pg meltdown although things did get worse and now there's two chats. I'm calm I'm calm uhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm pg is really making me a much less stressed person. I had IVF too and I agrea about the dates thing but I'm going with the flow.Love your names too very nice.
BabyDreamtime discharge is normal in pg and can be as much as you are saying or just a little talk to your OB if you're worried,
Welcome Redidris glad you're lurking goodluck with scan and 1 week wait.
MissMagpie hope you're short fuze is being used only for good it's ok to be snappy after all we're going through alot.
Grub thanks for the support, I now know the swearing lady has been put in an awkward possition by another woman who has been stiring all kinds of pots. and 'pull your finger out' will be on my list of remarks Monday. After all we are professionals!
Mels hope you don't have to wait too long
Hi Murph have you been enjoying your TV? or did you woose out? thinking of you
ATM my students are waiting for me chop chop. talk soon luv yas
a big hi to you all ,ill be back later to say a proper hello
oh and JEN im sooooo thinking of you today hun wondering how you went today?if i remember you had a scan today chicky?
Well hi all, sorry now personals. Thans for all the well wishes, I haven't really had much time to wear the belt yet as I have been very sick with sinusitis and ended up in hospital because it aggrivated my morning sickness and I got to dehidrated. But had scan before I left hospital this morning and baby is fine. Off back to bed to watch a movie.
oh you're all so lovely thinking of me. Thank you. I feel quite overwhelmed with emotion today so am finding myself getting all teary when people are so kind.
the good news is that the boys are still in! My scan results showed further discordance (now nearly 25% between them) and an increased umbilical resistance index for my little one, but the blood flow is still positive. It only becomes an emergency situation if the blood flow is intermittently absent or negative.
So I have avoided any emergency deliveries. I am now officially booked in to deliver my boys on Wednesday - 09/09/09!! how funny!! my ob got quite excited about it being at 9am, although I haven't actually been told a time yet, so I'm not sure if it could be quite that organised.
I'll have another scan on Monday and hopefully it will show the same situation and I won't have to rush in on Monday for a section. I'm pretty confident we'll hold out til Wed. Our boys will be 34+1 then, and I am pretty happy with that Our big one is about 2.1kg and our little one about 1.6kg, so he's a fair bit smaller. They'll both go into the nicu, and probably in different sections until the little one catches up a bit.
Murph, I'm sorry about your nana. Don't feel you need to apologise for mentioning it. It sounds to me like you've had to lose her twice. I think that's a really difficult thing to deal with, so I'm glad we're here for you if you need us.
Saph, you poor thing. I really hope you're ok. You're having a rough trot at the moment. Must have been scary to end up in hospy. Hoping everything gets much better very soon. Hugs.
Neptune, glad things are on the move. Have been feeling for you. Hope it continues honey.
Mels!!!!!!!! Good luck!! hope the sweep works. I've heard they're not the most pleasant things... Big love!!
Greenslw - yeah tell her what's what! You can do it. People can be hideous can't they. Hope it all gets better. We spend so much time at work, that when it's awful it just impacts the rest of your time.
Grub, you make me laugh! I have a friend who was nameless for weeks!! Her mum knew she had picked a name, but she just couldn't think of it when my friend was born. And she refused to call her anything else until it 'came back to her'. Apparently she was called 'baby' for 5 weeks. And guess what the name was??? EMMA! Hilarious.
Hi redidres!! Welcome!! We all know what the first tri is like. You'll find lots of love and support here.
BDT - at about your stage I had similar discharge. It's usually all normal - so much going on in there! But, yes, if you're worried mention it to your dr.
BOC - very cool names! It makes it more real when you name them doesn't it. We settled on Hamish and Lachlan pretty early on, but now I even know which one is which!! I know it sounds funny, but I can tell by how active they are, and what movement patterns they're in. They really are so different. Hamish is my 'pow pow pow' energiser cheeky one. And little Lachie is my small baby. He's much more cruisy and languid.
Kelly - you're on the countdown now - exciting!!! Hope you're feeling ok. I am really feeling like a gigantic whale at the moment and am grateful for the bedrest
Tania - thinking of you. Yeah, don't listen to people when they go on about size. Everyone is SO different. Hope your BP settles.
I had my baby shower this afternoon in the hospital grounds under some lovely fig trees. It was just such a lovely couple of hours. I felt a bit like an idiot sitting there in my wheelchair, but it was so so nice to see my friends, and I got the most amazing and generous pressies. You know, girlfriends are a special and treasured thing aren't they. I feel very lucky to have so many beautiful people in my life
Hi Smithy! Bella and Azz I'll catch up with you in the twin thread. Hi to everyone else!! Phew, I'm running out of puff. Take care everyone.
JenC - Wow, 9/9/09, that's cool! How exciting, I will be thinking of you on Wednesday. Glad you enjoyed your baby shower, and yes I don't know where I would be without my girlfriends.
Saph - you poor thing, I hope you are okay, take care.
Mels - Good luck over the next few days, and if nothing happens naturally, then WOOOHOOO for Tuesday, and I can't wait for your news.
Murph - Families are rarely straightforward, I am sorry about your Nan, makes it a bit more of a challenge to grieve when the understanding is not there.
Hey to everyone else, I am very tired and can't sit still for long because of a little foot in my ribs and back pain.
AFM: The clean up is happening, but at the moment it is worse than ever. Can't watch TV or really sit anywhere or do anything because of all the stuff everywhere, but he is moving stuff! I am finding it hard to see a way out in time for the baby, but I feel better knowing he is trying, and I think he does too because we are getting along really well. He has the enxt few days off, so fingers crossed I get a nursery by the time I go on maternity leave this Thursday.
YAYAY! Maternity leave. Now that I am here at 34.5 weeks, I realised I should have left at 33. I am not coping at work with the fluid retention an general discomfort, so REALLY happy to be finishing this week.
I had my baby shower yesterday - we had a high tea at the Hyatt and it was lovely. I had a couple of sips of very nice champagne!
Not very comfy at the moment. I am finding sitting/driving very difficult because there is a foot in my right ribs, but if I lean back into the couch just a little bit, I think the baby/uterus is blocking off the venous return because I feel sick and giddy. So I am finding I have to move around a fair bit. Maybe he will move down a bit soon and it will settle.
I hope everyone is doing well - by the sounds of the posts everyone who was sufferring MS seems to be doing better which is good!
Only a few personals as I am at work at not too much time to do all!
Murph01 My due date is the 13/01/10 and we are not finding out the sex (I keep meaning to let you know for the update that you do!)
Greenslw I sooo know what you mean about work grating on you - my boss has been a massive biatch and I have left work twice in tears in the past two weeks - my DH wants me to finish up at 34 weeks just to get away from her earlier
BDT I had the gross discharge thing too and mine turned into thrush - I got the 7 day canestan pessaries from the chemist and it cleared it up - they recomended not using the applicator though and your safe in the second trimester to use it - hope that helps a bit!
Boc I love your names and we are still in love with Mahli to or Max for a boy but I also like Kennedie for a girl now - so hard to choose. We like Mahli though beacuse it means a Meadow in March and we got married in March overlooking a meadow!! (we found that out after choosing the name!)
AFM - I am 21 weeks and 5 days!! I have downloaded the coolest app for my iphone about pregnancy - totally reccomend it! I have been feeling the baby kicking alot and DH felt it this morning too which was great to see his face! I think the baby had hiccups on Friday night too which made me laugh because I always have them!! I have had my 20 week us and all things look great now I need to book my GTT which I am soooo not looking forward to because I have to do the full test with the gross drink - yuk!
Anyway I better do some actual work! Take care everyone!!
