oh you're all so lovely thinking of me. Thank you. I feel quite overwhelmed with emotion today so am finding myself getting all teary when people are so kind.
the good news is that the boys are still in! My scan results showed further discordance (now nearly 25% between them) and an increased umbilical resistance index for my little one, but the blood flow is still positive. It only becomes an emergency situation if the blood flow is intermittently absent or negative.
So I have avoided any emergency deliveries. I am now officially booked in to deliver my boys on Wednesday - 09/09/09!! how funny!! my ob got quite excited about it being at 9am, although I haven't actually been told a time yet, so I'm not sure if it could be quite that organised.
I'll have another scan on Monday and hopefully it will show the same situation and I won't have to rush in on Monday for a section. I'm pretty confident we'll hold out til Wed. Our boys will be 34+1 then, and I am pretty happy with thatOur big one is about 2.1kg and our little one about 1.6kg, so he's a fair bit smaller. They'll both go into the nicu, and probably in different sections until the little one catches up a bit.
Murph, I'm sorry about your nana. Don't feel you need to apologise for mentioning it. It sounds to me like you've had to lose her twice. I think that's a really difficult thing to deal with, so I'm glad we're here for you if you need us.
Saph, you poor thing. I really hope you're ok. You're having a rough trot at the moment. Must have been scary to end up in hospy. Hoping everything gets much better very soon. Hugs.
Neptune, glad things are on the move. Have been feeling for you. Hope it continues honey.
Mels!!!!!!!! Good luck!! hope the sweep works. I've heard they're not the most pleasant things... Big love!!
Greenslw - yeah tell her what's what! You can do it. People can be hideous can't they. Hope it all gets better. We spend so much time at work, that when it's awful it just impacts the rest of your time.
Grub, you make me laugh! I have a friend who was nameless for weeks!! Her mum knew she had picked a name, but she just couldn't think of it when my friend was born. And she refused to call her anything else until it 'came back to her'. Apparently she was called 'baby' for 5 weeks. And guess what the name was??? EMMA! Hilarious.
Hi redidres!! Welcome!! We all know what the first tri is like. You'll find lots of love and support here.
BDT - at about your stage I had similar discharge. It's usually all normal - so much going on in there! But, yes, if you're worried mention it to your dr.
BOC - very cool names! It makes it more real when you name them doesn't it. We settled on Hamish and Lachlan pretty early on, but now I even know which one is which!! I know it sounds funny, but I can tell by how active they are, and what movement patterns they're in. They really are so different. Hamish is my 'pow pow pow' energiser cheeky one. And little Lachie is my small baby. He's much more cruisy and languid.
Kelly - you're on the countdown now - exciting!!! Hope you're feeling ok. I am really feeling like a gigantic whale at the moment and am grateful for the bedrest
Tania - thinking of you. Yeah, don't listen to people when they go on about size. Everyone is SO different. Hope your BP settles.
I had my baby shower this afternoon in the hospital grounds under some lovely fig trees. It was just such a lovely couple of hours. I felt a bit like an idiot sitting there in my wheelchair, but it was so so nice to see my friends, and I got the most amazing and generous pressies. You know, girlfriends are a special and treasured thing aren't they. I feel very lucky to have so many beautiful people in my life
Hi Smithy! Bella and Azz I'll catch up with you in the twin thread. Hi to everyone else!! Phew, I'm running out of puff. Take care everyone.
Jenxx

and I have left work twice in tears in the past two weeks - my DH wants me to finish up at 34 weeks just to get away from her earlier

. I'm with you, I HATE people who come to work sick and spread it. I had a boss that used to do it all the time and I have always had a low immune system. I would get really sick too and she would give me a hard time about taking time off and say I was faking it to prove a point. How exciting about a new car! What are you looking at? I'm so glad before we TTC I insisted our last car bought was a Mitsubishi Outlander (I had a Corolla) cause now I don't have to worry about boot space or anything. Hope you feel better soon chick.

to everyone else I've missed. Hope you're all
so I went to Target and got a couple of gorgeous maxi dresses that can be dressed up with nice shoes and jewellery. They're a little loose too so should last me through summer YAY!
I demand you get better so you can enjoy this time! oh you poor thing, i hope you get some recess from feeling so unwell. hugs for you love.
I hope your boss pulls her head in too. is it cos you're leaving she's being a cow or is she just a joy to work wth all the time? glad your DH felt the bubs, it's soo much fun when they touch your belly... they sooo want to be part of it all i kinda feel bad my DH can't feel what i feel iykwim. lol.
