    finally a bfp

Hi Ladies, thought I can join this this thread now, as we have our confirmed bfp!

    4 weeks 4 days today!

I am super paranoid that it wont stick around - its taken us so long to get here. Anyone else like that?

Hi Krikkit. Since I seem to be the only one up at 4a.m (damn indigestion), let me be the first to congratulate you!! Congratulations on your BFP and I think at one time we all feel like you are feeling now and I guess that's because we know that nothing is ever certain, especially after what it has taken to get here. Take heart though, it's rough and the first weeks are very scary while we wait for the little buggers to stick, but it does happen and all of us in here are living proof. What you are going through is perfectly normal but it gets better

Saph, you sure are doing it tough. I hope there is some relief in store for you soon.

Smithy, are you sure you want to go with Charlie for your baby's name? My Charlie (butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, she's so cute-spoodle) relapsed into her old anxious ways and on Mum's first night with us, she gathered all Mum's belongings, high heel shoes, stockings and expensive Oroton sunnies as well as breaking into the food cupboard. Oh gawwwd!!! Too much excitement for one little dog...too much expense, I now feel I have to replace the damn sunnies!

KellyD, you are leaps and bounds ahead of me although at one stage I thought I nearly caught you. Jazzy still has heaps of room to move and yep I'm now feeling those kind of unpleasant moves you warned me about. Lately she has been moving the furniture every night and I wake up very lop sided and odd looking! At last check last week I was told she was breech, so we have to wait for her to get into position or else try some interventions (chinese medicine style).

Hands up who has now gone and measured their bellies after Kelly did it?? well I just did...not quite the impressive girth to height ratio as yours though Kel I'm 100 round the belly and 171cm tall (blonde and like walks along the beach..remember Grub, if you're still wanting to date me!) It's a cute mental picture of you though Kelly, your DH must be stoked...so damn preggas!

Hey Azz, hope you got some good news yesterday and hope you are traveling well.

Hi to everyone else and keep those tummies rising.xoxo

i did too lol. I'm 170cm tall and my belly is 111cm lol. so kelly d you have it all over me as well. lol murph, i'd forgotten bout that. i'm a dag, no doubt about it maybe a walk along one of the beaches at cape trib... glass of wine? ooohh no a beer at ellis beach pub watching the sunset... sorry your dh, she's mine! oh bugger, what will we do with the kids? lol.

kriskitt i posted in your ''how long does it take'' and am so glad you've popped in. like murph said, the worry of the first 12 (really 8 tho) weeks is horrid. the best advice i have is to enjoy what you have and live for today. try not to get bogged down in worry and stress as it won't do you or bub any good. Plus you can't control the outcome so may as well be happy for the next few weeks rather than stressy! And like someone mentioned just before - the first trimester worry is only the start of the various concerns you are going to have... it never ends!

Only one more sleep SMithy!!!! can't wait to log on tomorrow and and hear! that'll be hilarious if it is a 'bagina' lol.

hi saph - i'm really sorry but i did giggle at your dog poo story. I have a really sensitive tummy (preg or not) and can't touch dog vomit or even hear anyone else be sick (sympathy spewing is nasty!). so i completely understand where you are coming from. And you are under my orders as well to take care of yourslf and your back! does swimming or anything like that help?

my back is killing me atm - sciatica (sp) still playing up. but went for a swim this morn so will see how it goes. think i'll have to do a daily swim to help control the pain. doesn't help i''m mostly desk bound at work bbrrrhhh

    Hi girls oxoxoxox

Yup. 165cm tall, and 104cm around my belly. Feels enormous and very stretched, but everyone is so different aren't they?

Hi everyone. Once again, have been reading and lurking but not posting much.

Welcome to Krikkit and Bridget. It is really nerve-wracking that first trimester, combine with the pregnancy hormones, it can be one heck of a ride. All the best to you both.

Congrats to the fantastic births (MHB and Mels)...have we heard from JenC????

Grub - I sympathise with the being over it and the back pain. I have had back pain since about week 20, I'm sort of used to it now and have so many other things to complain about that I don't even mention it anymore! Swimming does help though, I just find it hard to physically get to the pool!

Murph - naughty doggy! Got too excited by the sounds of it. Charlie has expensive taste!

Smithy - Good luck with the scan!!!!! How exciting.

Saph - You poor thing, hope you get some relief soon.

Greenslw - Drama about the bed! Glad tou got your old one re-instated to get you through.

Hey to everyone and anyone that I have missed.

AFM: Well, no obvious progress on the nursery front. I feel okay only because he is working hard, I just hope he knows what he is doing. Because he has emptied one room out to re-pack it with shelving, the rest of the house is now worse than ever with junk everywhere (he assures me it is all going back in, but when???). This morning, I can hardly open the fridge to get milk out of the door. I have offered to help, but he says that he is fine. I keep reminding him that the baby really could come any day and we need to have he cot set up etc. Frustrating. I am just doing little bits that I can, which is not much, because there is no room, and it is all heavy stuff. I could wash all the baby's things, but there is nowhere to pack them away, so still in garbage bags for now. I am just praying that he doesn't come early.

I am on maternity leave now. YAY!!!!! Again, feel pretty useless, but really need to rest now. Have got terrible swelling in my hands and think I have carpal tunnel syndrome in the right, so that is very uncomfortable. I will see the midwives on Wednesday and see what they say.

    to all

    lovely ladies!

    Hope everyone is well!

Neptune: hun, I really feel for you right now and hoping you get a good outcome from this.

Krikkit! Hang in there hun, try and enjoy every day you have together with your little one. A positive attitude will really help, as will keeping yourself insanely busy so the time flies LOL. Wishing you a H & H 8 months! We've all been where you are so feel free to rant and rave and vent all you like! That's what we're here for.

Murph & Grub: Don't let us interrupt, would the two of you like a room??? You guys crack me up! Oh and i say forget the beer and wine, go the pina coladas on the beach!

Smithy: Hilarious! Can't argue with kiddiwinks, they always get it right. Good luck with enetering Doodey or Bagina-ville! Thinking of you today hun!

AFM: can't remember my last post (damn baby brain) so sorry if I repeat a few things. Scan last Thurs, all good, got some cute pics although we could still only see the top half of Cookie, apparently I have a retroverted uterus which makes it harder to see??? My Mum came with me and I have never seen her get excited about anything but man she was nearly jumping out of her chair! Anyway we're still exactly on track, no change of dates (nope that's right I stick to schedule, how me!) So due date is 08/04/10. Murph, Could you please update our Little Cookie's date on the list? And it's an orange surprise all the way for us :-) Thanks hun.

So Christening and Wedding went well, and I can't remember who mentioned about the pg-friendly food, but thankyou, I'm glad you did. I made sure I ate well beforehand and it was lucky cause there wasn't a lot of options. Lots of reheated and left out foods, wasn't game enough to risk it. But I tell ya, if one more person asked me "how many" I was having I was gonna cry! I am really HUUUUGE already, and with the 32 degree heat I was a little fluidy & swollen on top of that. Trying to work out how to upload my belly pic. I too thought for curiosity's sake I would measure my belly (thanks Kel LOL)... I'm 156cm tall and my belly is 108cm ... at 10 weeks OMG! Admittedly I was a little bigger to begin with, a size 12/14 but this is just plain freaky LOL.

And finally in good news, DH has been AMAZING of late! He's been really nice, not nagging or arguing, rubbing my feet, patting my belly and giving me lots of cuddles, which is sooo not like him, and when I ask "what was that for?" he says "because this is what I should be doing. I'm looking after you" awwww I tell ya I melted. Man if I'd known he was gonna be this nice I would have gotten knocked up years ago

Anyway enough droning on for me. Thinking of you all and hoping you are all baking away nicely. Looking forward to the next "POP!" Who's it gonna be???
