Murph - thinking of you and hope all went well yesterday. xx
Lise - unfortunately I dont have an answer for you as I only ever had 1 embie to transfer, sorry. Good luck with your house search! Hope you find something soon. Im having the baby next Wednesday the 4th
Mel - the swine flu injection is a HUGE dilemma. Since Im so close to having my baby, I didnt bother but I too had doubts about it anyway. I didnt want anything "foreign" in my body that could do harm to my baby. I think maybe do some more research and try to ask other pregnant women to see what they have done.
Mitf - hello and welcome. Congrats on your BFP!!!! Lots of us never had any early symptoms so try not to worry. I know its easier said than done! I hope the 1st trimester flies by for you
Greenslw - try not to over do it. Listen to what your body is saying!!! As for your manager...grrrr! My boss said the same thing to one of the girls in my office too and she thought well if I was RICH then of course Id stay home with the baby but unfortunately we arent that lucky and with the financial committments we all have we dont have that "luxury" of being stay at home mums! I wish I could stay at home for 12 months even longer with my baby but unfortunately cant afford it. Some people are just so IGNORANT!!!
Grub - glad work did something nice for you and the voucher for a spa treatment sounds FANTASTIC, enjoy it
Kelly - thanks for the well wishes and tip about bf. My boobs are so HUGE as it is so I am really worried as to how Im going to go once my milk comes in. Have heard breast care is VERY important especially when they are a bit larger Hope all is going well and you are enjoying every moment with your princess Tara. xx
to poppyfairy, smithy, BOC, Seph and everyone else
AFM, have just been chilling out the last few days. Had a g/f come over yesterday for lunch which was really nice. It was so weird saying goodbye to her and her saying when I see you next, you'll be a MUM! Even my mum was all emotional on Wednesday when she was leaving as I wont be seeing her until next Wednesday after the baby is born. I just still cant get my head around it even can my DP. I dont think it will REALLY hit me until I am at hospital in a gown waiting to be wheeled away to theatre! DP and I will do last minute things this weekend, then on Monday we are both booked in at the hairdressers then Tuesday which is Melbourne Cup day will try to sit back and relax before the big day on Wednesday!!! Am booked in to get my legs waxed and have a full pedicure tomorrow so looking forward to that. My feet are absolutely DISGUSTING!!! We are having major trouble finding a boys name we like and we only have 5 more days, its stressing us both out!
Have a great weekend and belly rubs to all
Take care,
Tania

Thanks for the advice re one or two embies sticking ladies, I guess i'd better tone my expectations down so if it's one we're not disappointed. I have to admit I was getting my hopes up, but still, after all we've been through i'm more than thankful for one baby
Miss Magpie - OMG, it's getting so close!! You sound super prepared with bookings for pedicures, the hairdresser etc. So lovely to indulge yourself so you're feeling gorgeous next week.
I'll be reading with interest for everyone's views on the swine flu vaccination. I forgot to ask my GP when I saw her if I should have it, but I think i'll have to do some reading first.
Hope everyone has a LOVELY weekend. I have my brother and his wife down so i'm going to be a tourist this weekend, which I think will involve some DFO shopping. Might have to leave DH at home so he doesn't see all the bags...!
Wow this weather.... it's so nice being sunny and hot but god my hands and feet aren't loving it so glad i won't be pregnant all summer!
Murph - hope everything went smoothly Thursday and you are enjoying finally having your bundle in your arms.
Miss Mag - best of luck for next week - i think you have the right idea spending the next few days with a little pampering! Can't wait to hear!
Hello to everyone - sorry i'm on my way out the door to get some shopping before it gets to hot and i can't walk!!!
AFM - no changes here just waiting waiting!!! Did lots of housework yesterday and my feet are paying for it today! It was DH b'day yesterday so had some people around last night - he has now gone to work today and i'm left to clean up joy! Scan Wednesday and appt Fri so looking forward to that this week.
Take care everyone and drink plenty of water!
MissMagpie, I agrea, although I do think I'd want to go back "very part time" if I won lotto. I do love my job. But probably after 6 months not 3.Oh my Wednesday is so close. Goodluck and enjoy the little bit of pampering.
Bella wow you're still cleaning you are supa woman, hope your scan goes great wed
Persephone wow 4 day weekend, now I'm gelous.
BOC it's scary when you are normally a "highly intelegent" (even if I do say so myself) woman and now you can't remember when you washed your hair last!
Bonvoyage Baby Dreamtime, I hope you have a great time
Lise: I'm studying and doing two jobs (yep I'm nuts) just feel like I need to fit it all in now. I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. but it's my way or the highway. Uni is alot more of a commitment than TAFE but if it's your dream I'm sure there is a way
Mellbel: depends on what you do I guess re swine flu vax, If I was still in the hosp I would but it's a NO for me.
Murph I hope it all went well
Hi to everyone else hope your weekend is going great.
DF is away for the weekend and DSS and I are being slack, pizza for tea last night and pan cakes tonight! feeling like it is now really the weekend.
Work was steamy today, no aircon in a north facing building my poor students I let them out at 3pm. I hope next week it's cooler as I'm taping my lectures for assessment at tafe it all goes ok. I know I can do it but it's all pressure you know.
My belly is huge, now bigger than my boobs. I love it but it seams to be growing daily. I had to pull my fav hippi skirt up to my boobs to fit over my belly. glad I'm at home and not out in public.
Next week is much more cruzy for me. Thank goodness, monday off tuesday tafe and Melb Cup lunch Thursday OB appointment Friday lazy day at work! much happier with my diary this week.
green your funny about your hippy skirt
atm all my clothes sit up there near my boobies otherwise i find it to uncomfy my girls are calling me HARRY HIGH PANTS how embaressing
greenslw - that sounds like a pretty good week! and i'm only an occasionaly harry high pants (lol smithy). i prefer the roll-down under my belly.
good on you for cleaning bella! i can't do much these days... but enough to keep the house tidy however the effort requires a good 2 - 3 hr sleep! lol.
lise - i had such a nasty flu this year that they thought i had swine flu at about 20 weeks and was put on tamiflu. they never tested me tho so not sure i actually had it or not. I've chosen not to go the vaccine cos i'm so close to giving birth and we are out of the big peak season for now. after the bub is born i might get it, however, I just don't feel comfortable getting it while preg. I'm sure its safe and all but just not for me. hope that helps.
OMG MISS TANIA!!!! when you say it like that! lol. enjoy your last few days as just you and DH. i'm so excited for you.
anyone heard from murphy??? oooh she;s a mummy now, that's so exciting.
hi seph, lenny, poppyfairy, bdt, smithy, melbel and all the lovelies
afm - mum is here and i'm geting spoilt - slow cooked lamb shanks with veg! yummo! lol. went and got a quilt set, mobile, sheets etc all matching today, it's going to look super cute! so had a lovely day. going to finish it off with a movie it's nice to have company but i am still missing DH so much! oooh better go. i'm checking in when i can.
Grub, that is my problem with the Swine Flu vaccine. Noone is actually being tested to confirm they actually have swine flu and not just seasonal flu! Since the symptoms for Swine flu are almost exactly the same as seasonal flu and noone is actually being tested, how can we definitely say what number of people actually have or have had Swine Flu? So it is hard to say if it is a pandemic or not. So I am not going to rush out and get what seems to be a dodgy vaccine when I am not completely sure I need it!! Especially when pregnant!!! I read somewhere that there is a chance that the average person has naturally developed immunity to Swine Flu through everyday contact and getting a vaccine would be unnecessary. I just hope that my contact with hundreds of kids when teaching (and their parents on parents evening) in the early days of Swine Flu has given me some immunity already. We are entering the winter flu season so the government were pushing the vaccine for pregnant women but seem to have calmed down now. Weird?? Alot of National Health Service staff came out and said they were refusing to have it when they were told they had to as they didn't trust it. So it seems in Australia and in the UK health professionals are not keen.
Grub - your shopping sounds exciting. I can't wait for that part! I hope your mum is still spoiling you rotten. Enjoy it while you can.
Mellbel - I too have wondered about the swine flu vaccine, although I must say I am not that keen and leaning away from it.
Lise - what day is your scan? Good Luck. I look forward to finding out if it's one or two little bundles.
Miss Magpie - wow not long to go now. you must be super excited.
Smithy - I also had a little sticky at your nursery photo's. It looks beautiful. I need to have a spring clean in our end room so I can get started.
AFM - I had a follow-up BT this morning, so the clinic could check my levels. My HCG is up to 8,689! Still don't really have any major symptoms besides feeling a little tired and occasional tender boobs.
Still getting to know everyone, so sorry to anyone I have missed.... A big hello and I hope you are all well.
Mitf xo

Wanted to put my two bobs worth in on the whole swine flu vac. I asked my gp and he was against it. My feeling was that if the vac is not safe for my 3 year old ( as they are only giving it to children over 10) how is it safe to expose it to my unborn child. No way, will discuss it with ob next week but
I am anti vac.
AFM doing about the same some good days some not so great. Now adding three times a day pannadol to the drug list to keep pain to a minimum. Discussing delivery next week at ob and asking for a few days of work, my boss is being a pain. Gotta go Campbell has just woken up.
Smith took a peak at the nursery photos it is so exciting when everything is all set up. We have finished our nursery it is all blue and with an ocean theme. As this is boy number two and we didnt need to buy a lot DH went a bit nuts and bought all the matching stuff for the kids line calypso design. It is so cute but we already have shoved all the christmas and birthday presents in the cot. gotta store them somewhere. lol
yay saph i bet it looks beautiful sweety well done i just love the ocean so great choice hunny .
were getting there hun woohoo
ive actually been saying to dh the last couple of days i really think were having a baby this time and "he says yes babe lol" but im still in shock i think lol.
Saph: How exciting! You'll have to post some pics of your nursery! I too am doing an Under the Sea theme and have also bought most of the Kidsline Calypso range and some stickers for the walls but have absolutely no idea where to start! Give me inspiration!!! Please!!!
LMHAC: ! Hope you do get time to pop on in & hope all is well with you!
mitf: YAY for awesome levels! Hope you're feeling good!
Grub: Gotta love Mums! I love it when mine comes to visit, my house is never cleaner LOL How you hanging in there?
Greenslw: I'm with you! Hoist em up! And it's great to see someone that can have a good relationship with their DSS and some time alone together to talk without interruption from others I'm jealous!
Persephone: How you doing hun?
A big :bellyrub: to everyone else I missed, hope you're all doing well.
AFM: Having a bit of a shocking time at the moment. The sciatica has been giving me trouble and I'm not sleeping well. Then in the last few days some family dramas popped up, a lot of S*%t going on and to be honest I'm pretty much on the verge of cracking. And the last thing I need right now is stress and drama. But I have some great friends, one in particular who has just been my rock and keeps me distracted long enough to stop crying for a few hours. Anyway I've decided that my way of "dealing" with it is to lock the doors, switch off the phone and just go into lockdown for a few days and they can all go jump. I'm through with being everyone's punching bag. For once in my life I am putting me and my baby first.
Anyway enough of a rant from me, I will stop right there (sorry ). On a better note, counting down 2 weeks & 1 day til my next scan, and I really can't wait! Hey, can anyone tell me, at this early stage, how often is bub supposed to be kicking? It seems to have quietened down in there a whole lot the last few days, I thought either it's moved into another position or maybe it was from the stress I've had? Either way I don't want to ring my OB and seem panicky if there's no reason to worry.
Have a great day guys, hope some of you get good wins this afternoon. I am SO not a gambler so it's just another non-event for me, don't even know who's running!
boc - i find my bubba has busy days and quiet days. i also find if i'm super busy, i don't notice his movements as much. if you are worried, try having glass of juice or a reall cold drink, or coke or such and lay down for 20-30 mins. you should feel some movement then. sorry to hear your back is playing up... have you got youself a man-pillow??? the are really good, that and getting on all floors and just sort of moving your bum from side to side helps
saph - i think that's lovely our dh is so into the decorating side o things. the upside of my dh going away is i can get in and decorate. he's a bit of a stick in the mud like that and can't understand why i want matching stuff etc. we have gone barnyard themed, which can be used for a 2nd child if we are lucky enough in a few years' time.
hi smithy - feeling any better these days?
lilmisshavachat - looking forward to hearing from you soon.
mitf - those numbers look really good sweetie! you must have been relieved.
poppyfairy - that is a very good point re swine flu numbers! and i really liked what you said saph - if it ain't safe for a 3yr old, why would it be safe for my bubba via me?
how are you greenslw? lise? miss tania? seph? bdt? bella? lenny? melbel? and the girl's i've missed mentioning (sorry lovelies).
AFM - mum has gone now but yep i was spoilt. loved having dinner cooked every night and there's nothing like mum's cooking she also bough bluey his barnyard-themed cot set etc. I'm just buying a few extra matching pieces, should look good
also put her to work doing cleaning lol and went to lunch and such. it was so nice actually! i am now awaiting the arrival of my sister thursday week. so just over a week alone again but i am booking in for a breastfeeding classs at our hospy and have pilates on sat and doc appointment etc. also have a good book just started and need to sort out chrissy pressies. so it'll all go pretty quick.
its 37C here atm i'm hiding insde with fans and the a/c (and the fur baby). but did go for a swim this morning - divine! feels sssoooo goooodddd. Also got the tripod out and tried to do some arty farty black and white naked preggy pics. a couple turned out okay, and it killed an hour of my time!
