I have to ask though, if you do go into labour early, are there provisions for DH to come home early?

Sorry but cant keep up with all that is happening.

Will just do a quick update of me. Really still struggling. Physio is not really helping, They have now put me on a anti depressant (which I nearly had a heart attack over), Apparently pain management clinics use it all the time as it relaxes muscles. So far it is not helping the pain but I have been sleeping better. Last night had to get a up to DS and I was swaying because I was asleep on my feet. Tonight I am upping the dose so had told DH he is in charge of night duty. Also now permanently on attibiotics for sinusitis. Along with all my hay fever meds this is helping. I am taking so many pills I almost need a timing pill box. On the up side am talking about delivery at next appointment, she is planning on doing and approx birth weight at 36 weeks and getting him out at 37 this I am excited about.

We have finally got rid of everyone elses stuff and will be painting and then setting up the nursery this weekend. We have brought the whole calypso range of nursery stuff. it is the ocean theme it is gorgeous.

Hope everyone is doing well. Neptune thinking of you. My DH cousin was induced on wed with gel and sent home she didn't have bub until sunday. I am being induced this time, buit for me this will be a relief as I am being induce because of how big Campbell was. This bub seems to be big already.

Smithy have they given you anything to stop you spewing. I take a maxolon every morning half an hour before I get up, without it I spew every day.

hun thanks for careing :hug: BUT MAXALON FOR ME :rofl: have tried them so many times been in hossy dont know how many times with maxalon through a drip doesnt help never has this is just how i always get when pregnant ;) i dont just get sick like i wanna spew.... i wanna pass out spew all day not matter what i do i get the worst headaches, in all my years of being pregnant i would never say ive just suffered from m/s i would say i feel like im dyeing some days and thats not a joke :D but thanks hun ive just learnt this is just me nothing can help me pmsl.....

O.K the hospital packing....We went with a Private Hospital so they provided all of the clothes Tara needed for her hospital stay, including bunny rugs and spew rags. They also provided us with the first 3 days of disposable nappies as well (or if you are using cloth they provide those as well) so all we needed for her during the stay was extra nappies for the extra days in hospital (I worked on 8 nappies per day) and clothes to bring her home in.

As for me, I had a clean nighty for each night in hospital and a change of everyday clothes as well as by day 3 you will really be sick of sitting around in your nighty and want to feel more normal. Obviously you will also need the fun things as well, I took in heaps of Maternity Pads but found that my loss wasn't as much as I thought it would be but they say with a c/s the loss is less. I didn't even use 1 packet of 10 before going down to Super size and now I can use ordinary pads. I now am using the extra maternity pads as a padding for my wound while it heals completely.

I don't know if this helps, but I packed more than I needed and ended up bringing a lot of stuff home clean and unused. I'll will be waiting with baited breath for the 29th to arrive to here the good news about Jazzy's arrival.

MMM, I would guesss that Neptune is now spending some precious bonding time with the new man in her life. Can't wait to hear the news.

Murph that rain sounds brilliant. When we lived in Charters Towers I loved running about with bins and buckets catching as much as we could when it did rain! I still appreciate rain even though I now live in the rainiest country in the world! I was thinking about our tree changes and I loved that show Grand Designs too but my big favourite was River Cottage. Apart from the killing animals that is the life we want! We now sort of live in the area so we are getting close!!

BTW the car had to go as we couldn't afford it and we are trying really hard to do the eco thing as well. I have a whole ton of family and friends on their way out to see us over the next few weeks so that should perk me up. I read back a bit on these threads and noticed that you too have had a hard trot emotionally with your tree change. I just know that these changes we have made will be for the best in the end but the simple life is not easy at first is it!!!

Grub - That really sucks about your DH's course being extended. Unbelievable!!! Do you guys get paternity leave in Oz? He should take a whole month or so off when he is back and bubs is born. Really stick it to them!!! At least you know that more often than not babies come late so that could be some consolation as you will definitely know he will be there to support you in those miserable last days.

Saph - hope things get moving for you soon re gel etc. I hope the pills work too. Do you feel alright on them?

Smithy - that MS sounds like hell! I hope this is the pregnancy where it will ease off a bit! You definitely deserve it by now!!!

Everyone else belly rubs and thanks for your kind messages to my depressing post last time!

On that track and AFM - Had another bellybuddies session and felt a bit weird after it as I blurted out a bit too much to women who are not familiar with the ways my LTTC head works! They were supportive but I shocked myself a bit. We were chatting about induction and such and I casually said I hope mine comes early to avoid the whole drama of deciding about it etc. Anyway the lady who runs the group said when was I hoping to deliver. And I stupidly and sort of half joking said 'Anytime after 30 weeks I guess as he should be ok then' They were all shocked. She asked me why and eventually got it out of me that for most of this pregnancy I have counted the weeks until viability as basically I don't trust my body to nurture him properly. I sort of knew I had done that but for it to be said back to me made it seem really confronting emotionally. Luckily some of the other ladies had had the same doubts about their ability to breastfeed and to some degree about their pregnancies so I didn't look completely weird. However it was good I suppose for me to get to that point so that I could move onto a point where I could try and trust my body and nurture myself so that I can nurture this baby and try and enjoy this pregnancy. I also made an effort to get into the local community by offering to volunteer at the children's centre so that should help keep me busy as well.

Anyway I had my lovely acupuncture session and the lady was lovely and listened to all my blathering. I am now on a new blood nourishing and rehydrating diet of daily eggs and fish and miso soup and I already feel better. I am now ready to wait out this pregnancy right to the bitter end of 40 weeks! No more wishing for an early delivery!! My body is the safest and most beautiful place for my baby to develop!!! Now I need to say that 100 times!!!!

Poppyfairy: You poor thing, I'm sure if they understand your path just far and know you didn't have any bad intentions. But I get what you mean, even at the best of times my mouth is usually ten seconds ahead of my brain. But at least now we have an excuse!

Kelly: Thanks for the tips! I have been wondering what to buy for my bags! I can't seem to find any "practical" hospital or "what to buy for baby" lists anywhere that don't have everything under the sun. I just want the basics! Glad to hear all is going well for you & Tara Rose

To everyone else I have missed, HI!!!! Hope you're all :bellygrowing: away nicely.

AFM: Well am I having an ever-interesting morning! I think my brain has shut down and completely disconnected from my mouth! I am having trouble constructing sentences and even some words! I just booked our "babymoon" for our 1st Anniversary at that beautiful hotel we stayed at recently. I was such a mess the girl was almost falling off her chair giggling at me! "How many people?" "Yes... um no I mean twelve... um no I mean two" ??? :wtf: And giving my credit card details, well that was a whole other story LOL. But at least it's booked now and I am looking forward to parking my butt int he lagoon pool for 3 days in Feb. And as I type I am on hold to the hossy to book delivery and Antenatal classes :hooray: can't believe we're actually at this point!!! Oh and the decorations for the nursery arrived on Monday so I'm waiting for DH to have some spare time to help me put them up, as I am sooo not artistic in any way! This is the theme: BoscoBear Wall Decals - Under the Sea - Wallspace - Wall decor . So now I just have to wait for the other lamp & nursery items that are on backorder to arrive and then we can start putting it all together!

Cookie is still kicking away which is great, and now my Mum has felt a kick and DH is not sure but thinks he felt one last night when we were laying on the lounge. He said it was kinda hard to tell as I was moving around a bit too. But even then, I'm sure there are still plenty to come :biggrin:

Anyway hope you're all travelling well. So who's gonna be next??? I am so jealous of you lovely ladies in the latter stages, I can't wait to be there at that point!

Neptune BIG CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your new baby boy Adam, I love the name, it is my brothers name too. Looking forward to hearing news of the birth and hope you are settling in to motherhood well.

BOC, loving the new pics, your belly is looking beautiful, and you are so lucky to be feeling movement now, I didn't feel anything until 20 weeks. It is such an amazing feeling. I work for Outrigger, so we are staying 6 nights at Outrigger on the Lagoon on the Coral Coast, will also have 4 nights on Castaway Island. I am super excited, and can't wait to do the same as you, pretty much nothing :dance:. This will be our last holiday for a while. Loving your wall decals, have fun decorating! And oops, my pram has been in our house for a few months now :redface:, might put it in the garage at least lol.

Poppyfairy, glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. I guess it is always hard for those that are not LTTC to really understand the fears that we have, especially after so long, you really do start to doubt your body. But I love your mantra, it is beautiful.

KellyD, thanks for the suggestions re hospital bag, if you get the chance can you let me know what kind of nighty you would recommend, I was sort of thinking it would have to have buttons down the front for breastfeeding/expressing/easy access for DH :redface: lol, just joking. I am more keen on singlet tops and pj pants, but don't want it to be all difficult and uncomfortable. What would you suggest? And for during the day, just trackies and a tshirt? Thanks! Hope all is going well with you.

Smithy, you poor love, I can't imagine, boy this little girl will be one loved baby after all the hard work you have done to get here her. I hope you can find some relief. Thinking of you.

Murph, you have inspired me to get out and about a bit more, I have been so tired, all I do is work and eat and sleep, some fresh air would be great, will have to get myself down to the beach. Lani, that is great all is going well, gosh time gets away. Have fun at your baby shower next week, 50 people yikes! I hope you are not doing any of the work, how wonderful for lots of pressies. And take care with work, you are keen to go to 37, I guess if you are feeling good, go for it. I am aiming for 30 weeks, but not 100% committed. I laughed with DH yesterday saying that I felt the I would get all the way to 40 weeks and the girls just won't want to leave.

Bella, glad you feel good after your preggy massage. And have fun packing your bags, these next 5 or 6 weeks will fly by. Hope you are feeling ok and taking care. xx

AFM, I am going great, though have had a super sore back last couple of days after working on the house on the weekend. Just doing small things like packing boxes and some painting, and taking it easy as much as I can. The house looks like a bomb's hit it, dust everywhere, but it is great to see it coming along, very exciting.

Murph - Your beach experience sounded TERRIFIC! I just loved your description :D I totally agree with you about some alone time with your DH before bubs arrives. Its so close for you now :dance: As for the hospital bag, my hospital even though its private too is different to Kelly's. They use cloth nappies which they supply for bubs but if I want to use disposables, I have to supply them yourself. Also I have to take in my own bunny rugs, jumpsuits, singlets etc for the baby as well. Ive also bought myself a few "nana nighties" with buttons down the front for easy "boob" access, lol Other than that, Im taking some everyday clothes for myself, as in tracksuit pants and loose tops.

Grub - :hug: That is such a bummer about your DH's longer stay. Fingers crossed bluey stays put until your EDD. Take care and know we are here for you when you need to vent. xx

Saph - sorry to hear your still in pain. I have a hard enough time taking my preggy vitamins and BP tablets let alone anything else! Hope your pain eases up for you soon.

Hello to everyone else! So many people that I have lost track!!!

AFM, well 2 weeks TODAY until bubs arrives, cant WAIT :dance: Im now into my 2nd week of maternity leave and am getting more and more uncomfortable and bored at home! I feel like Im in limbo just waiting, waiting. Did some more washing of bubs stuff yesterday and am off to buy some nursing bras tomorrow with my mum and then catching up with a g/f on Friday which Im looking forward to. I am getting so big that it makes it hard to get behind the wheel so cant drive too far so am mainly cooped up in the house. Had my baby shower last Sunday. That went well. Had 10 people all up and my DP's sister didnt bring her kids in the end and my DP took care of them after all, so all that stress for NOTHING!!! I was exhausted by the end of the day after running the games and baking earlier in the day but it was lovely to catch up with my g/f's whom I hadnt seen in awhile. I see my OB for the last time next Monday in which he will give me a detailed outline of the c-section and what happens. Its all becoming so real now. I cant wait to find out if its a pink or blue bundle. The anticipation is killing me!!!!

oh miss tania - i'm so glad your shower worked out and SIL did the courteous thing! and 2 weeks! where did the time go???

Some girls are talking about hospy bags - Big Dub has some maternity/nursing pjs, they are tops and bottoms and are pretty comfy. Our private hospy has baby clothes but not enough for everyone to use so they urge to bring your own... however the new mum who spoke to out antenatal class said someting really interesting. She wanted to dress bub in his own clothes and wraps/blankets for the smell when he got home,, he had something familiar... they also put the rugs/wraps etc in their bed for a night before the bub's arrival so he could smell mummy and daddy. I thought that was a good idea and am going to do the same.

bdt - make sure you take care of your back lovely. and now is definitely the time to whinge "that's too heavy, can you do it'' AND get away with it! rofl. ;)

boc - i'm sure DH will get his share! i must admit bub started moving about 17 weeks and DH has felt plenty of moves but it was only the weekend of my most recent gastro 'incident' that the movements really ramped up. All the sudden they are more deliberate and firmer and tummy contorting! lol. (and keeping me awake).

poppyfairy - it sounds like you feel very safe and supported in your belly class to talk so openly - lucky you! you know i also think the same thing... ''it'll be okay once i reach 28 weeks, after that he can come whenever''. and that's good about the visitors, but you know they'll drive you nuts! lol. when they all leave you'll be lovin your isolation hheeehee... i've discovered a week is all i can manage now... i've adjusted to being here with just me and DH. (spoilt!).

oh saph and smithy - i hope you both start to feel better soon. you are certainly strong women!

thank you all for your kind hugs and empathy for my situation. As you can tell, I've processed it and am feeling stronger now. and DH sent me a text that night which said: ''sleep well an know that my love for you knows no bounds. all will be well :)" I keep reading it over, it just makes it all better lol. the worst time is going to bed, i'm such an emotional preggie woman. the minute i switch the light off the floodgates open :*(

anyhoo, some of you asked if DH could come home if i do go early and the answer is yes,thankfully. DH said the minute i feel i'm no longer coping and need him, he will just tell his superior's he is needed. My only real concern is I'll go into labour and it'll take him at least 8 hrs to pack up and drive to the hospy. But he'd have to go back next year to make up for the time he missed, so if i can hold on it'll be much better.

but we'll face hurdles as they come. and today i'm not worrying about all the 'what ifs' because i saw Bluey!!! had our 32 week scan and we actually saw his face for the first time... everyother scan he's had his hands in front of his face and turns away. this time he only got one hand up... so technicaly i saw half a face..

but I fell in love today

he's 1800 grams at 32weeks, which is on the small size of average. but all is good! his missing umbilical artery seems not to have an impact :) and i saw him doing his practice breathes!

Big huge hearty congrats to Neptune on your lovely big bundle. Ooh I hope he was caesarian after all as he is a nice healthy size hey?

Well as you get further down the list and closer to your due date, you might notice that you have less time to talk to everyone on the list and kind of seem to write more and more about yourself...to keep yourself sane half the time I think. Rest assured though, I am reading everyone's posts and going through all the emotions with you.

Grub, I had one sleepless night just writing letters to you in my head after hearing about your extended loneliness. Huge hugs. I guess you are married to the defence force and that's the way that life goes. They will never change so you can only change your expectations. I only lived that life with DH for a short time,but at times I hated it so much and it can hurt so much to feel you have no control. Hopefully you can take comfort in knowing that none of us really has any control and I know you would give the advice to others that you need yourself so I have thought of some positives for you to add to in your time of need.

Positives for Grub to think about:
1. At least he's not in Afghanistan and he is safe:D
2. You are going to see him at some point before the course is over and will be in contact
3. He probably won't have to work through Chrissy and will have some lovely time together with you both
4. It is most likely that he will be home, or will be allowed leave in the case of any sudden changes and he WILL be home for the EDD
5. At least you have your little man with you growing and bonding together, poor DH will miss the two of you (and furry mutt) so three time as much for him to miss;)

As for things to take your mind off, volunteering can be absolutely the best thing for getting over loneliness. Is there some community thing you can get involved with? I won't tell you the time will fly, cos it won't and sometimes 7 weeks can be just as hard to cope with as 7 months, but if you find some things to look forward to so that you can stay happy and write lovely letters to DH, it will really help. My DH and I have every letter we ever wrote over 7 months of him being in Rwanda in 1995 and it's a beautiful thing to have. we were writing like 4 times a day:redface: some days like diaries to each other. You'll find what works.

Kelly D - private sounds like the way to go hey? I don't think any of that is supplied at my hosi. btw, I can't believe how little Tara was, with all that carrying out front belly. Did I ever tell you that I wrapped the tape measure around to compare myself to you and held it to where you measured. DH was like "no way" cos until he started seeing ladies at clinic, he thought I was huge. Now he chuckles and compares (in fun), looks around the room at the most humungous tums that hang out like shelves on other girls and we sit back and chuckle at our little bump that BOC's put to shame at 12 weeks!! It's all good:lol:

smithy - I had no idea how bad your sickness was. that's absolutely cr@p hey? One question, don't think it rude. Do you still ever smoke the wacky weed? I heard of a really rare case where a woman in Australia couldn't stop spewing except in really hot showers and she would only present to hospital when there was no hot water left in the house. It was thought to be psychological cos it always got better after some time in hosi, however, she just had time for the mary jane to leave the system. The doctor who writes the stories for House (weird medical stories) was on the radio talking about it. Just a thought. apart from that, have you tried seeing an accupuncturist, chinese herbalist or something alternative to the regular pharmaceuticals?

Poppiefairy - no time now but you gave me goosebumps and your post was really lovely so I will get back to you later.

I wold love to do one of those posts where you go over every one's like I used to but you lovely girls are doing a good job of that and it will soon be time for me to step sideways like Kel and leave you all to it. There's always someone coming up through the ranks, which is great.

DH and I just had one of those moments almost at the same time of realising ...OMG in exactly one week we will have our baby, then we were like, oh no, it's Wednesday and somehow that made it easier to accept...8 days rather than 7:doh: I havent checked the list, but I think that I might be next.

and those thoughts are exactly what i used to pick myself up and dust myself off... we have been very very lucky in that he rarely goes away and has never been deployed... and I knew full well what i was getting into when we married. it doesn't make it easier when you are in the full swing of it, BUT, it's only 7 weeks and like you said, it means he won't have to go away post-birth :) and like my dh said "you are a strong woman'' lol. love a man who loves a strong woman hey!

It used to be a lot easier writing a long list of spectacular persies like our talented BDT does but now it's like I have ADD, I start writing but just lose my mojo halfway through! What kind words you have for Grub, you certainly have a way of saying what we all feel for her!

Grub, so glad you got to see Bluey's face! I can't wait for that moment, to see who our little cookie looks like! Who does yours look like?

Miss Magpie: Can't believe it's only two weeks! How exciting! Glad your baby shower went well and the kidlets were looked after!

Well after my major baby brain this morning I have had a roller coaster of a day. Around 12-ish I got really tired and lethargic and laid down and ended up missing bible study. Well my lovely friends at the church got worried and one of them came around to check I was ok, wasn't that lovely! They are so wonderful that it makes me forget the people I'd rather not have in my life! So I felt all rosy for an hour and then out of the blue started to feel like I wanted to strangle someone, the poor kid that crossed the road in front of me had a startled look on his face when I hit the horn and yelled a stream of abuse out the window :redface: and then, by the time I got to Coles I burst into tears in the middle of the fruit & veg section, cried my way around the groceries (a lovely old duck stopped me and asked if I was ok), all the way down to get petrol and all the way home! Once home I drowned my sorrows in 2 packets of twisties, some cashews and a rasberry split whilst watching a particularly lame episode of 90210. And I was fine again. But then DH came home, I went out to meet him and instead of hello I got "Wow you're huge today!" to which he copped a swift "F@*k You!" and me storming back into the house :redface: Poor dear! He was really trying to be nice not mean!

I know it's all perfectly normal and it's only going to get worse but man what a day! I've had plenty of mood swings in my time but today really takes the cake! Only downside is I was so embarrassed about it all I can't bear to tell anyone else, but I'm sure you lovely ladies understand and have even had the same kind of day.

Anyway enough of my babbling again, DH feels guilty so he's out in the kitchen cooking me dinner while I squirrel away in the office! I feel bad now so I might go and help him!

BDT: O.K nighty recommendations. Well there is not a lot around that you would wear, trust me most are for grannies. I found a couple in Big W and Target that had buttons down the front. I am not a nighty girl, but trust me if you have a c/s then it is expected that you will bring nighty's with you. When you come out from theatre, the midwives will change you out of your hospital gown, give you a bit of a sponge bath and then put your nighty on for you. Because you have a catheter in you need to have easy access to the lower parts, plus they are always checking your wound the first couple of days as well. I also found it much easier to wear a nighty while recovering as once you are mobile you still have trouble bending at the waist and also lifting your legs, so trying to put on PJ bottoms would have taken me forever. I did take some PJ's into hospital as well and only put them on the last night in hossy when I felt that I could move more freely and having the waist band around my belly was tolerable to sleep overnight. One more thing, I also have a clean nighty for each night in hospital it is really needed as you end up getting colostrum/breast milk/baby vomit on you and I found that I was really hot and sweaty all the time. Probably a combination of the heating plus the hormones.

Hmmm thanks for the advice Kelly, definitely something to think about! I was just planning on getting some maternity singlets to sleep in (and pj pants on the end of the bed for when I have to get up) and then trakkies and tees for daytime.

Don't know about nighties, I generally sleep all-year-round in a singlet and undies, no matter how cold it is (and I tend to get all hot and sweaty in my sleep even in winter). I turn over roughly every half hour and nighties or pj pants just get all tangled up so I don't know how I'm going to tackle this one!

Bella: good to hear your massage was great! I have a friend that is a masseur and I've been waiting til I'm definitely out of the woods before going for one, can't wait!

Started my first Aquarobics session last night! Was looking for Preggy version but there's none really near here so I spoke to the instructor and she just modified each exercise for me. It was really great and looking forward to Monday when I can go again!

Hey quick question, anyone have any good tips for cleaning greasy oven trays & racks without the use of oven cleaner? I've tried hot soapy water and jif to no avail.

Just a quick update - had scan and appt today - all great still some growth discordance but less than 2 weeks ago - fluid around each baby and cord blood flow perfect. Plan is still induction at 36weeks BUT twin 1 has dropped heaps and they have said i may not make it to induction and may go into labour naturally!! So anytime from now to 4 weeks - wow i'm getting very nervous and excited!
I thought they may have dropped given the intense pelvic pressure i get in particular when walking!

wow bella that is super duper exciting! Can you tell your belly has dropped or was it the pressure feeling more? i'm on high alert for droppping as at my scan the other day the sonographer said bub was sitting "very low, i mean very low'' lol. so i got worried he's engaged already!

boc - do remember you won't be doing much tossing and turnign if you have a c-sect or probably vaggy baby for that matter! and hospy beds aren't that friendly to moving about. But i'm also going preggy/nursing singlets and pants for most of my hospy wear with a nightie or two, and some maternity pjs. but i'm hoping i'll have bub via the main gates iykwim and won't even have a graze lol. (yes, i've been alone for 2 full weeks and have become delusional, have started having conversations with bluey's teddies mmmwwaaahhh)

kellyd - that's great advice about taking a change of clothes for every day.

i'm excited as plan to pack my bags next weekend when mum is here. also, one of dh's workmates left a message for me today - to ring him and let him know when to come and mow the lawn ;) made me feel much less forgotten!

only one week left at work and really not doing too much actual work - lots of bringing others up to speed and tieing up lose ends :)

BOC re working away. Can he give it a go for 6 months then see if it's working for the whole family? I think it is really hard to say no to good money especially if the job you have sux. I always said "no" to DF but it looks like it may happen, in the end I'd rather happy DF than miserable and around lots. well all things being equal and provided that Jasmine does not decide to turn now, she will here on Thursday. I am really excited now. I wouldn't have believed it if you told me I'd look forward to it but I've had lots of my fears dispelled about the epidural and caesarian. I know I can read horror stories if I want but I'm choosing to look at experiences like KellyD's and lots of the other girls who have shared previously. We also met with the lovely anaesthetist and he was great...so stay breech Jazzy and we'll have you out in a jiffy:dance:

Mum's in Best and Less as we speak buying me some Nana nighties. I went out and bought some super duper excellent on special button down tops and p.j pants at Sussans which I live in before finding out about the nightie dilemma. So I text the keeper of all nana nighties and none of hers are suitable for BF. She'll spot a bargain, $7.00 was her last offer. I bought one really cute one at Kmart but it's all they had other than smocks and moo moos and I still fit non-maternity size 12:redface:

Saph, I hope you got to enjoy the ballet pain-free. I thought labour was kicking in for me lastnight, I had all sorts of different pains and we were on alert thinking we'd need the ferry driver's after hours number.

BOC - cute belly pics. I just had my last ones taken today wearing exactly what I had on the first time we could see the bump growing (14 weeks) and at 38 weeks, I'm enormous at least by my own comparison (if noone elses;) My tum never really changed from those measurements where I got everyone out with the measuring tapes...I'm now 103cm when I stretch the tape. How are you all faring?

Smithy, thanks for the tour of Charlie's room. So warm and welcoming and you've done so well being so sick. I haven't exaggerated about Jasmine's room and I wish I could show you, she has her cradle in one side of our wardrobe with no doors on in our bedroom and that is it! Poor little bugger, I'm not showing her your video:redface: I think she's putting up shelves in the womb and going to settle in as it's bigger than what she's moving out to. I have got a beautiful ruby red mozzie net draped above and at least her little space in the world will have a theme, so going with lady bugs which I adore and it's been our ticker so I'm even more attached.

I hope you don't mind me joining you here in this thread - last week DH and I achieved our first BFP!

A little about me:

I went off Depo Provera in October 2007, and AF returned straight away. DH and I tried to conceive naturally until about May this year when I spoke with my GP. She did some tests and referred us to FS at MIVF, who then told us DH had low sperm count, poor motility and morphology, and recommended ICSI. Our first cycle was cancelled hours before ET as we only had 5 eggs from EPU, 2 of which fertilised, but they both developed muliple nuclei and FS wouldn't transfer them. Second cycle we transferred 2 embies and on Wednesday we got our BFP!!

DH and I are terribly excited, but i'm as nervous and anxious as all hell, hence i'm hoping you lovely ladies may be able to reassure me. I don't know if it's a normal pregnancy thing, or if i'm like this because of the LTTTC and AC, but every twinge, sore back, pain etc., every time I go to the bathroom, basically all day every day, i'm convinced something bad will happen. It's only been 4 days, so i'm hoping it's just early nerves, cos I really don't want to be anxious the whole 9 months! Did others experience this? Did you calm down? What helped?

Our first scan is Nov 6 where the nurse said we should be able to see if we have one or two on board...!!

as for going to the loo every 20 mins - well that sounds pretty normal. And i hate to break it to you but the anxiety does not let up! there is always something. I think its about you choosing how much you'll let it get to you. But for now, i highly recommend just enjoying your acheivement thus far :) enjoy the moment with your DH.

Hi girls, I will come back and check on your personal journey's later, but just wanted to let you know that I just arrived home with my new son Adam.

Adam was born on the 20/10/09 at 607 pm via emergency caesarean following failed induction due to his size and posterior position. He was 4.47 kg (I'm only a small frame!) and he is adorable. So precious, and I love him so much. we have nicknamed him Bruiser due to his size!

All going well, nipples are a bit sore, my advice to all is to let the mw's watch you attach so you don't suffer too much!

AFM - We had our baby shower yesterday - it was such a fantastic day but very very tiring!! We were given so many beautiful gifts which i was so excited about. Then today i have finally packed mine and babies bags, cleaned/dusted, rearranged and organised the nursery and completed the finishing touches like hanging mobiles etc. Washed the last of the clothes and wraps! I am so tired and my back is soooooooo sore so time to put my feet up! I kinda feel like i'm ready and counting down - it's such a nice and exciting feeling after the journey to get here!

Hi neptune, so glad to here you are doing well. Please do tell us your birth story I am very interested to hear. I am still undecided as to just opt for a CS or let them induce me early. Campbell weighed 4150g 2 weeks early and he was posterier. And it hurt like hell. His birth was horrible and he ended up in the NICU because of it. How was your recovery?

Ballet was lovely, not pain free but nice all the same. Another boy how loves music, he went nuts. It was the Australian Ballets production of Swam Lake. Very good.

Well the Nursery is all set up, oh it is so cute. Just need to rewash all the clothes and stuff and we are in business. Beauty thing about having another boy is I already have all the clothes. (Did buy some new clothes I just couldnt resist.)

Hope everyone has a good week. Of To bed now some take the numerous drugs that make me sleep, dont help the pain much well at all really but at least I am sleeping. My daily drug regime

Panadol, Panadol and more Panadol like they are lollies, all this and I still cant walk ( and holding my bits for relief gets a bit embarasing all I can do is laugh and hope time flies by.

For me I relaxed a bit after my 2nd US at 10 weeks, when my Cookie started looking like a real baby and I heard that heartbeat. But I think the real relaxation comes once you start to fel kicks, it's a lot easier to reassure yourself then. I wish you good luck and remember we're all here for you and everyone needs to rant and rave every now & then and you will not be judged or ridiculed here!

All good here, although having a little back trouble, think I'm in for a little sciatica but never mind, I've been very lucky so far so can't really complain!

Cookie's kicking away now, seems to like 3am & 3pm best. Of an afternoon I'll drink a glass of OJ and sit back in the recliner and wait and about 15/20mins later we're practicing our breakdancing moves in there. Yesterday I was rubbing my belly and felt a hard little lump poke up (Don't know if it was a foot, elbow, bum or whatever) but when I pressed on it it went away again - cheeky little bugger!

My work situation is improving, I work mainly freelance, I do the occasional HR Contracting and I do a lot of Mystery Shopping too (I'm the company's only consultant in my area so I get pretty regular assignments out of it) as well as doing a lot of volunteer work for my local gym & church, helping with preschoolers music classes, volunteering in the creche and being their bookkeeper & treasurer. Well this morning I'm happy to report they are putting me on their books :dance: and will be officially employed (and paid YAY) to run the creche and in a few weeks I will also take over the teaching of the music classes instead of just helping! All in perfect time, could use the extra cash for all my shopping expeditions and just in time for Xmas too!

Anyway I think I'm giving Murph & Grub a run for their money in the gasbagging stakes so I'll let you all be! Hope everyone has a great rest of the week! :loveshower:
