Hello all... glad you are all well. Thanks for the answers - really helpful. I feel like I'm getting bigger somedays and some days.... nothing. Odd!
I've found an outlet for my missing red wine - cake baking! I made blueberry friands yesterday. Making Spanish apple cake for lunch with friends tomorrow, and have just starting soaking fruit for Stir up sunday tomorrow. My brother tells me he did his Christmas cake weeks ago
I'm making an effort to eat more fruit based on your recommendations - I've always been quite good at vegetables, but trying to eat more fruit now. I've never ever been able to sleep in the day - and today managed 2.5 hours!! Wonderful weekends.
Anyway, sorry for the me post, just saying hello really and congratulations Bella on your wonderful news (and wonderful names - really lovely).
bella - congratulations x 2 on your boys! wonderful to read about more people who make it through all those months that feel like they're stretching ahead right now I hope you get to take them home soon.
sonyalouise - Hi!!! I was following your story in other forum...wow! How are you feeling now m'dear? Did you get another BT? If you've seen any of my posts, you'll see we've had about 6 .... so far. It certainly is a relatively easy way to see what's going on on the inside. It's amazing what's happening to you though....I had my EPU on the 21st and my single ET on 26th. Do let us know how you go.
kyra - sorry you didn't get the house...but your attitude is very good, enhancing what you have right now. It's hard with furbabies isn't it when renting. We've got 4 (3 when we were renting) and it's frustrating trying to find the right place and one that accepts them.
BOC - happy birthday hope you enjoyed the aircon!!
Grub - ahhh you're DH sounds like a real sweety...he's obviously a keeper
Saph - hope you're feeling a bit better and the sore throat hasn't deterioated into something really unpleasant.
LM - mmmmm they sound yummy, although I seem to be losing my sweet tooth rapidly.
AFM - well DH and I have formulated a plan so hopefully don't have to wait till the 9th for the next scan to see if heartbeat can be found. My wonderful GP has a scanning machine, so we're gonna go see him this week and see if he has any luck. We may get a 7th BT too. This has affected DH a fair amount, he's desperate to see that little pulse.
In addition, the morning sickness that appeared last Monday....well it really took a hold the rest of the week. There were a couple of days where it was pretty much constant all day...which is draining. I've not been sick, just nausea. Yesterday - holy dooly, I was in bed twice having naps, I felt rough as and nothing really cut it. Went out with friends for dinner - had been soooo worried as it was for an Indian and we thought we'd have to tell them....but I was absolutely fine the whole night. Wierd. I did have a lot of 'wind' on the way home - burping here, burping there...poor DH!
We're out for breakfast with different friends this morning...fingers crossed I'm just as good. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday...might laze in pool - tried to float yesterday...but couldn't as the motion made me feel worse!
BabyDreamtime DH has a job well done, funny how the universe gives you what you NEED. excelent. Hope you don't get too stressed in the next 3 weeks. Just do your best then enjoy mat leave
Krikkit lol at your answers well done re sausage roll. Re cramps I had heaps all over my tummy and town my legs till about 20 weeks now it's baby squashing organs pain.
Grub spoke to my boss and I have to come back .8 like I am now so hopefully DH can be the same then it will work perfectly if not...... well lets just not think about that keep my eyes on the prize. Love that you and DH have web cam that must help heaps. Not long now Funny about stress re early arrival, DH was on Kangaroo Island this weekend and me at 32 weeks started having a little panic, what if?????? funny although he's not going anymore not until Squeak is out. Not the same as you I know but I think all the hormones are playing with my brain. Hang in there
LondonMiss sorry for the subliminal message, hay your pg eat what you feel like. congrats on having a boy
Murph hmmmmmm you might have to share some developmental psychology skills with me or at least a good book. I've been a little slack re what to do when bubs arrives funny all my focus is on getting to that point but it's getting CLOSE. Glad you and family are well
Kyrawolfe hang in there your dream home is around the corner.
BOC so sad you couldn't go to concert, that sux, sometimes being pg is a pain. All those contagious people.
CONGRATULATIONS BELLA
oh saph feel betta soon
Smithy I just notices your new pic near ticker love it.
ATM just waiting to go to my staff xmas lunch BLAH. DH is giving it a miss as he doesn't want to meet the ppl that make me sad (fair point) and I'm so flat after driving 90mins to pick DH up from the boat this morning.
Yesterday I baught Maternity Pads! they are scary! So I baught some maxi's too. I'm starting to think about my bag and what I need to bring and what I want to bring . I think with xmas fast aproaching I want to be organised incase. I was due xmas day but was late so hopefully squeak doesn't think xmas is a good time to arrive. OB appointment Thurs but I don't really know what to ask. Oh and pg classes start Tuesday hopefully that will be insightful 7.30-9.30pm fingers crossed we both stay awake!
yeah my reports are finished. My sore throat has almost gone and left me with a head cold. I can cope with that, hopefully it will be gone in a few days. Hope everyone is doing well.
Airline -=- Gotta love ms.. Its such an ugly time for such a celebrative success isnt it! Everyone is different but if I can offer any hope I picked up "junket tablets" from the dessert isle at the shops and just sucked on them.. They taste awful.. like lumps of salt and cornstarch.. But they actually do work (at least they did for me..) Others Ive heard are powerade, ginger ale and dry crackers.. If all else fails.. I hope it passes soon for you anyway.. Kepp you head up (or down) and it wil pass! Well done for managing to get past Indian food without spilling the news HAHA! I would have barfed at the sight of it! As for the pool well i guess its the best time of year for it.. Being 1000 degrees out there and all
Greenslw -=- Maternity pads are scary.. But if all gos well with the birth it actually isnt that bad.. As hard as that is to believe. If you end up tearing the hardesr part is sitting down the first few days LOL... I felt like I was perched on a barbed wire fence..
Saph -=- Headcolds suck during pregnancy.. I had one combined with my morning sickness at around 7 weeks.. and just couldnt take care of my 2yo properly between throwing up and the whole death feeling it brought me lol.. Luckily I have a wonderful GF up the rd who took us both in and helped me out with everything until Dh got home from work during the day. Hope you feel better soon!
AFM -=- DH and his friend have just gone down to cold rock for me.. I have a white chocolate freddo frog and oreo ice cream on order! mmmm lol. The house is clean.. My son is asleep.. It just finished thunderstorming and despite the heat Im feeling quite good atm.. I just know the dream house is around the corner- thanx and Ive promised myself we are going to have a great christmas no matter where we are... Planning to buy plenty of rock fruit and make a big roast for the day!
there isnt realy any big news to report other then jelly bean is starting to kick REALLY HARD
Hope to hear from you all soon and everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend
I am a little overwhelmed at how many people are on this forum, so I think it will take me a little while to catch up with you all. So I apologise to those of you I havent mentioned.
Londonmiss: Great idea with the questions, I was very interested in the answers.
Airline: Have just read back through some past posts to catch up with your story. How frustrating for you. The HCG levels sound really good, surely they wouldn’t be rising if bub wasn’t growing. Good luck with your scan next week. For the last two weeks I havent stopped burping!! It is driving me crazy. I read your post about the ginger and I had some today, it really is amazing stuff.
Kyrawolf: Thankyou for telling me your story, it helps to know someone else has experienced the same situation. I hope your house hunting will be at an end soon. It is very annoying that most rental agreements have the no pets rule.
Boc: I don’t mind you asking at all. It was brownish. I ended up calling the nurse this morning and she basically told me the same as what you did. It is completely normal and I should only start worrying if it is bright red. I am sorry to hear about your step daughter’s concert. I hope you still had a good birthday weekend though.
Grub- Thank you for the welcome. I found what you said about your ovaries quite interesting, every now and then I get a stabbing pain on the right, from what you have said I am thinking it must be from the ivf.
Bella- I know I don’t know you, but I thought I would pass on my congratulations also. I love hearing the success stories.
AFM: I am still having some bleeding if you call it that. It is more like brown discharge sorry again. I know I was told it was normal but I can't help worrying. I was crying all last night thinking it was all over once again. I called the nurse and she wasn't concerned at all, didn't even want to do another blood test. So I am trying not to worry too much and praying that it won't turn into anything more.
I hope all you lovely ladies have a wonderful week, take care.
