to Ella's Mum & Smithy on the arrival of their new pink bundles! Hope you're loving every minute of your babymoons!
Lise: Not everyone's belly buttons pop out, especially if the seem to run a little deeper. Mine is shrinking by the day and sometimes resembles a little smiley face which I think is very cute, but I don't think it will pop. But I was belly gazing in my antenatal class on Thurs and it seemed to be 50% outties and innies.
AFM: Not much going on here, really struggling this last fortnight, so uncomfortable & tired and the heat just makes it worse. But not too much longer now so I'm hanging in there. And as far as belly pics go, check out my link at the bottom for a glimpse. My 29 week photo is really weird, Cookie was laying at the weirdest angle, kind of pushing outwards.
Anyway i'm off to try & get some sleep. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Your right, that's an odd angle! Did it hurt? It's our dog's first birthday today, she's celebrated by doing the most noxious sulphurous farts you could imagine. I haven't wanted to vomit for weeks but do now! I've got a pain in my belly, no worse than stitch. And an upset stomach. And DH just left for Delhi for 12 days. : (
LM: Yes! Very uncomfortable when he/she does that, often does it of an evening. I can't stand up for long when it happens, usually go lay on my side and it moves. The other latest trick is sticking his/her head up under my stomach while I'm eating dinner and headbutting me. I can only get about 2 mouthfuls in when that happens. I usually walk around for a little while and try again about an hour later.
Oh and I soooo hear you on noxious doggy farts! I've changed my furbaby from pet food to mince & pasta. She was doing some shockers that were making me gag, and always in my tiny enclosed office, she'd come in, drop one then leave the room and me stuck with it
Oh boy it is sooooo hot it's a shocker! Spent most of the day in and out of the pool. that the southerly hits soon!
Grub no daggers just smiling all my friends are calling almost daily, they are driving me nuts! so nice to hear Ash is sleeping some decent hours, you must feel heaps better for it.
Paula hope the next 8 days goes quick for you
Saph hope things get more comfortable for you
Lise thanks for the vibes but no evacuation yet, My belly button hasn't popped. But it's really cool to see the end of it.
Boc sorry you haven't been having a good time lately not long now.
LondonMiss
ATM no sign of squeak although my tummy has been off for a couple of days, I actually threw up today, I didn't even do that when I was first pg. I'm trying to enjoy every last kick on the inside cos (being a sook) I guess it's not long now.
thank you girls for all the congrats you have all made my day and i love you all ,been home a couple of hours now and all is going great ,we are both so in love with our baby girl,i will do my birth story very soon but going to rest for a couple of days first bit tired still lol..i have put up a heap of pics in my site if youd like to have a looky...
many labour vibes to my girls in waiting enjoy every second of your labour girls and best of luck ill be lurking thats for sure
Great pics Smithy. And useful too. I've made a mental note for long long tshirts in the labour ward and a facecloth too! At this rate I'll be taking about 32kg of luggage it's not a long haul flight.... the upside of DH going to Delhi is that I've used the points he got over night to book a points flight for my Dad to visit us in September (we had others already, I just needed 10,000 more) and now both parents are booked and I am very very happy indeed.
why are more people in Australia not concerned that evil americans have bought out english Cadburys? I think this should be number one news story. They are cancelling Fudge bars, curly wurlys, picnic bars and something else I can't recall immediately (Boost??), other lines will follow when they've done some figure crunching. I think the Queen should protest to Obama. It'll be the most important thing she's done in years.
Good morning everyone! hoping everyone is enjoying the weekend. Just a 'about me' post...sorry.
Just wanted to say i made the announcement to my family and majority of friends yesterday. It was sooooo much fun.People screamed with excitement, one cousin burst into tears with happiness. My facebook friends are all commenting and sending their warm wishes. It was great!! I posted some pics of me yesterday on facebook and my bump is SOOOOO big already.I wore a dress that i thought hid it slightly but no,.... aunts were staring the minute i walked in the door.hehehe.One cousin said she knew because i refused wine and opted for water..she knew something was up.
I worked out how long it took to conceive..5 years,9 months and 9 days....wow,what a journey.I even said to my hubby, why dont we call a baby girl "Journey".He said i was being ridiculous.I liked it...anyways,we have more contemporary names picked instead.
Hey has anyone felt movments at 12 weeks or early? I heard you feel them in 2nd pregnancies earlier.I felt them with Connor at 16 weeks and am sure i started feeling the same thing yesterday twice and am feeling it as i type?? maybe its wind but doesnt feel like wind, its the same as it was with Connor.
Congratulations on an awesome response from your family! I love hearing other people's stories of good times!
As for the movements, even though it's my first, I started getting a "sloshing" or "swimming" sensation around 11-12 weeks, and had my first kicks at 14w2d. It used to make me sooo mad, everyone telling em I was imagining it or "maybe you just need to go to the toilet". I knew exactly what it was so don't let anyone put you down! Just enjoy every minute of it!
And, for the record, I think "Journey" would be a lovely, unique name! Keep plugging away at DH, you still have 6 months, he may come around! They say if you introduce a new idea to a child 10 or so times they eventually come around and they are just like big kids
Just had a bit of a weight taken off my shoulders. A friend had offered to throw me a baby shower, but I have been asked to limit the numbers to under 25. Well I have a big circle of family & close, close friends, my original guest list was 45. And they are split 50:50 in distance about 160km apart and some wouldn't be able to make the trip, and those I cut out would have really got their noses out of joint. Also my Mum was a little upset about not getting to organise one for me. But the guest list thing has been bugging me for weeks, just trying to make it all work.
So Mum's just asked if she can host a 2nd shower for me! I'm just hoping it doesn't look greedy, I'm thinking of saying "no presents" anyway. Just want to have those I love around me (and those few I don't but am obligated to invite hahaha) celebrating that we actually got here!
London Miss I am concerned about US buying Cadbury's although I don't like it as much since they changed their recipe. GO BACK TO OLD STYLE!
Wantbaby glad you and baby's coming out went well, how exciting.
BOC it's up to you but people want to buy you stuff, I went to a "no present" party it was so hard, But I did spoil her when baby came. I had 3 baby showers (not by choice) One my mum did and two at work. I don't think it's bad for your mum to host a second for the ppl who can't make the other one. Up to you hun and 45ppl is scary! hopefully two smaller ones will keep you and nanna to be happy hope you are feeling well.
Smithy I'm to scared to look now but will post my own birth. I knew you'd beat me
ATM regular cramps but no labor. This weekend went so fast and I wish I could keep DH at home from now till birth. I'm off to my mums tomorrow with my bags for a movie day, then home day tuesday. I'm not normally a sook but I do feel so much calmer with DH or my mum around.
So I'm still waiting but still trying to make the most of my last few days.
