Sal - Woohoo on your scan! Congrats on your little boy. Know what you mean about your scan pics, my 12 wk ones are a bit of a misery.

Sal - Great news about Blobby and it seems your instincts were right on with him being a boy. Funny how we just "know" these things. Bummer about the scan quality though. Nice for you to finally be able to get some mat gear. I remember Gab said she wasn't showing either until recently.
Yes, Amy and Tam must be next ...
Morning all!
Sorry I've been MIA. Work has introduced a new Service Desk computer application and everyone at work is grappling with yet another application to manage. Add to it my pg brain (heehee love saying that) and I'm really suffering!
Also internet at home is on the blink...grrr..so am having to try to squeeze posts in at lunch and before work.
Sal, awww...I didn't get it right! Still, a baby boy! How wonderful! Congratulations and here's to finding loads of beautiful baby clothes in blue!
I had another BT today, my 30dpo one, and will call at 2pm for the results. Am hoping it comes back great and Dr finally books me in for a scan. Am feeling ever so slightly more relaxed about it all now, but the waiting for that first scan is still absolutely killing me!
:grouphug: to all!

Sush - Looking forward to hearing your BT results and then your scan!!!!
Hope everyone is well.
Hello girls!
HCG is 16740
P4 is 951
Dr does want to do the u/s in his rooms, so will have to wait until my first obgyn appt on the 2nd of Sept, when I will be 7 weeks and 5 days.
Oh well! He said to stop worrying, everything's going so well, so I guess I'll have to relax now. #-o

First off WOOHOO SAL - ITS A BOY!! - they say Mama usually knows best.... and that is what you will be very very soon.... a Mama! Im so excited for you. Seems boys are pretty common from the LT TTCers....
Sush - exciting news that you are having your scan a week from today - the very same day I have another appt to discuss our upcoming FET. Am sure all will be just fine for you and you will finally see your little one.
Keen my sweet,
I can't wait for your next appt, coz I've been praying sooo hard for you. I have seats booked in here all ready for you, Sheree, Trish and all the other LT TTCers. I hope that AF doesn't take too long to arrive for you once you've been to your appt so we can get cracking again!

Sush, :cheer: on that BT, those numbers are great!
You know they say good things happen in threes, so your scan, Amy's scan and Keen's appt all bodes very well.
Ooh, have to share my excitement: I bought my first baby thing, a baby hammock! It arrived this morning, so I of course I assembled it and it is gorgeously cute. I didn't realise but bub can use it until he's 24 months old, so that will take him up to going into a real-size bed, so no cot purchase for me. Yay! Have still to work up the confidence of going into a big baby store, am waiting to look officially pg first. Speaking of which, I now have a gut (but doesn't look like a pg bump) that I now can't hold in anymore...I must be getting close to showing, huh?
Had my very first ante-natal clinic appt at the hospital yesterday, so that was exciting. Midwife was very nice, as was the OBS. The OBS agreed that I could go under midwife shared care, so am chuffed with that. The only downer was getting on the scales...*gasp* I've put on so much weight! To avoid ballooning any further, I am cutting out all the junk food I've taken to eating lately and have started doing a 30min walk each afternoon.
How's everyone doing today? Oh, and when is Trish's BT?
Sal I reckon you'll just wake up one morning and BAM! you'll be very preggers! Yay on the hammock, I bought one too but haven't put it together yet.
I think the first beta in the LTTTC is Friday, but I'm not 100% sure whose it is. It is starting to get very exciting in there!
Only 6 more sleeps!
Great news Sal - we had these people who had their son in baby hammock even in hospital and he loved it.
Have you put more pics on your site ? hammock ?
My BT is 31st so long away....hanging in there
Lots happenning 30th too - goodluck everyone
Trish, all fingers and toes still crossed for your BT...glad you are hanging in there, must seem like years away still!
No, haven't taken any more pics yet...didn't get any of the 18w scan (bummer) but I promise that once I've got a preg belly I'll take one of my bellly next to the hammock. Eeek, I'm feeling so fat at the mome that I don't know that I can promise a pic of my belly! :gossip: according to hospital scales I've put on 8kg already  No wonder I don't look pg yet, I just look fat!
Bit of a wait for you Trish, I am so impressed that noone has caved and done a HPT yet - what a strong lot!!!
Well I am freaking a bit, just had my 12 week DR appointment and tried to find the heartbeat on the doppler. Anyway after about 20mins of poking and prodding she couldn't find one so I have to go back at 5 with a full bladder for another shot. You guys can imagine what is going through my mind... If she can't find one at 5 then I need to go for a scan on Friday.
I'm sure everything is fine, maybe bubba is just being shy but it is going to be a long 2 hours. I'll let you know how we go ASAP.
Amy my OB told me that this is exactly what can happen at 12 weeks. the doppler is only so good. He has told me he will not do them at 12 weeks as it only stresses the mum out if it is hard to find, only 16 weeks on. Then the heart beat is much easier to pick up. Please try not to worry too much. I know easier said than done. I am sure that all will be fine.
Amy my Dr said the same thing - they wouldn't try to hear the heartbeat at 12w cos it can be hard to find.
Thanks Guys - My DR did say sometimes you can't find it but she prefers to persevere to make sure. At least if nothing else I may get my scan earlier!
I'm sure everything is fine - I'll let you know.
No Luck the second time either. Am booked in for a scan on Friday morning now.
Bumma Amy. I'm sure all will be fine on Friday.
Try not to worry too much Amy. I think it is very hard to detect that early with a hand held instrument. Hugs.
Sal - ROFLMAO at the very idea of having my feral son in one of those hammocks. I love the idea of them. But I can't imagine what he would be able to get up to, the mind boggles. He has climbed out of his cot a few times but thankfully has forgotten how to do it. His fave past time when he awakes is to jump up and down, using the mattress as a trampoline. I guess in a hammock, he could swing himsefl right over LOL!
I have updated my ticker because A/ it was wrong and B/ I was bored.
I am so computer not with it, that it has only taken me 700 times to get it right. i thought I might update the photo every couple of days, have some nice ones of Jack but they are not on the computer yet, so Sarma (RIP) is having a turn!
Amy - hang in there sweetheart. Im sure all will be just fine, and at least you will get to see bubs this Friday. Thinking of you in the meantime though, as Im sure it will be impossible for you not to worry.
Jo - LMAO at giving Sarma a go at being on your ticker. Why not, I say!
Amy, think of it as an earlier chance to see bubs. And you'll get to see the heart beat, not just hear it.
Glad to see all you girls going well.
Take care
Amy, am as sure as the other girls that all is OK. Hope you are holding up though, the worry must still be there, but tomorrow you'll see your bub again YAY!
Jo, hehe I am just assuming that my little bub will take to the hammock, if I have one like Jack then I imagine I'll be buying a cot ASAP!
We haven't heard from Gab, Cailin or Carrie for ages - wonder how they're all doing?
Not sure about the others Sal, but Cailin is still hanging in there. Her SIL has just given birth to twins about a week ago, so shes visiting them often (as you'd expect!). She's also having some back & pelvis issues so was on bedrest for a little while last week - her physio is helping with that though.
Hey Guys
I'm hanging in there - more angry than anything. Wish I hadn't gone to the damn doctors then I wouldn't have these doubts in my mind. Like you said though at least I get to see bubba sooner. Unfortunately DH can't be there as he has a huge job on for work and can't get away so I'll be doing it on my own most probably.
Take care everyone - thanks for all your love and support.
Amy,
Just popping in to wish you all the very best for tomorrow.
Likewise from me Amy. I might not be able to get to a computer tomorrow, but will try my best, I am having the other half of my house termite-go-away-stay-away-sprayed, so I have to be out of the place for a few days just in case. It was a job that was suppose to be done three years ago! But as you now, these things can't be rushed. Sending you lots of good vibes. xx
Amy, good luck tomorrow (am sure you don't need it though). Pls post piccies of your bub once you get them!
Amy,
can't wait for the new pics of bubby when you get them tomorrow. Glad you're going in early so that your mind will be at ease and you can relax over the weekend.
Jo, had my house done last week, and of course the stoopid pest control guy arrived at 7am instead of 9am like he said he would and began to spray outside the house with me still in it! Suffice to say I was not happy and couldn't leave to go to my mum's like I'd planned. I wore a hanky round the bottom half of my face like some renegade cowboy and sulked at DH for most of the morning for hiring a pest control guy that can't tell the time.

Amy - looking forward to hearing your news when you get home. Hope everything goes really well.
Jo - love the ticker. What a beautiful cat he was.
Sal - the hammock is an interesting idea. I haven't actually seen one (but then again I'm hardly an expert on baby stuff). I've started hanging around on EBay to see what I can get second hand. Just getting a feel for it at the moment.
Had almost all of this week off (bar Wednesday) as I've been sick. Only four more weeks and my body should have adjusted to the hormones. The flat has gone to rack and ruin but DH is helping as best he can. I never thought I'd see the day when I didn't give a fig about the state of the place but Lordy, it's here. I may as well get used to it because I've been informed that you don't get much done with a new baby around.
Hope you are all well and going along nicely.
Love,
Mel
Mel,
My house is pretty ordinary too. I usually get home, eat (if I don't feel too sick) then crash by 8.30pm - in my work clothes, usually. DH has been trying to manage with the house and kids, but without mum's iron fist, they are playing silly buggers with him, like taking off to bed and leaving him the washing up to do, or washing their clothes and leaving it wet and tangled in the washing machine.
What they don't know is that my patience is fast running thin with them, and this weekend, mum will be home and will have the whip out. I don't really care about the mess, but I care that poor DH is being run ragged by the little bludgers.
Amy, waiting patiently for the new piccies.

Just got back from our scan - everything is perfect! Sorry no piccies this time, I didn't ask just ran out of there to ring DH and tell him the good news. I have to go back on Tuesday for our original NT scan as she couldn't do it today. But bubba was bouncing all over the place, could hardly get a heart rate as was so busy!!! HR came in at 150 bpm so all good. It was so amazing, I saw its spine and she did a femur measurement which put me at 13w2d, but I'm sticking with my original dates as I think bubba just has long legs!
Thanks everyone for all your well wishes, was very nervous when I went in but you can't wipe the smile off my face now!!
Will do personals later.
xx
Amy that is fantastic news! I just went to dry my hair while I was waiting for your post. As I'm drying I'm thinking "I'll bet Amy has posted by the time I get back to the computer" and you had! Hope this sets your mind at rest and you can have a relaxing weekend.
Sush - I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a messy place. I'll bet DH is missing your usual firm hand with the kids too. Sounds like you're coming back though, better than ever and just in time for the weekend.
Talk soon guys. Got to go and do some little chores.
Love,
Mel
Yay Amy!
I forgive you for no piccies, but only coz you were so excited and also because you have another scan on Tues.
But will expect piccies on Tues. Hopefully will have some of my own too!

Thanks Guys - you're the best! hehe.
It worked out great in the end because DH couldn't be there today so he gets to see baby on Tuesday.
Oooo Sush can't wait to see piccies of your wee precious bundle! And yes I'll definitely be demanding a picture on Tuesday.
Take care everyone.
